I'm a Cubs fan...since 85...and I can tell you Steve and Harry were a good team....one was the passion (Harry Carey), and the other (Steve) was cerebral...made for a perfect combination....Steve Stone would predict outcomes often during the course of a baseball game...Dusty failed..we had Kerry Wood, Mark prior, Carlos Zambian, Matt clement....are you kidding me???
Steve Stone is one of the most articulate, intelligent broadcasters you'll ever listen to. Great baseball acumen, and that surely aided his pitching too. Hence, it's difficult to believe with his parents heritage, that he was a terrible high school student. Steve Stone also made a fortune in real estate investing in Scottsdale, AZ. A life well lived.
