Ottawa actually has a couple of Technical High Schools. I am also a past student of St. Andrew's. The typical Jamaican tends to be too carb heavy. Things are slowly changing., especially in the cities of Kingston and Montego Bay. One of the very popular restaurants in Kingston now is "Bowl and Spoon " at Devon House which serves delicious and creative salads and soups.
Poutine is a part of the Canadian culture just like our rice and peas lol. I enjoy cooking and eating food from all ethnicities. The food scene in Canada has become so diverse since I moved here in 1988.
Koren you should visit Ottawa during our February festival Winterlude with it's ice sculptures, skating on the canal, Beavertails (yum) etc.

Many do believe that the young people in the carribean/ West Indies are farther ahead in their education.
