Fascinating- the ravine was filled up and flooded in Soviet times to make the place unrecognisable today as its been flattened and turned into a park. This video would be a useful viewing at the new Babi Yar centre that is being opened in the next couple of years
Web link to explore the models? I couldn’t find. Two observations: 1) the Soviet POWs forced to cover up the main killing areas must not have had a long life afterwards, and probably none survived to act as witness; and 2) incredibly well done but I would have wanted to see a more direct connection to today’s Kyiv location/ landmarks via overlay. I take it that there’s some political and sensitivity issues that prevented that. For example, to see a building or roadway of today that likely intersects with the sites, and so on. Some issues as well to identifying locations precisely vs an area more generally. Thanks to the team that put this together and to those who supported projects like these.
Now it is unrecognisable and a largely flat park with just one area with a small relatively shallow ravine and looks nothing like it did originally. What is surprising is that it is in the near suburbs of Kiev 6km from the centre and people must at the time have known or had suspicions what had happened athough it remained a place of execution even after the original massacre. The Germans didn't even take the victims to a more remote wooded area where they could deny their actions or hide the evidence.
From a Syrian...thank you for your incredible work
what incredible research you guys have done. Thanks for posting this.

It’s so impressive what technology can do, great work and great video
This is incredible work! Thank you so much.
It wasn't just systematically destroyed, there was a huge landslide there in the 1960s that forced them to fill it in
An amazing project, truly educational and tragic. Thank you.
