@@azkaazeylia I did a lot of practice and i evolved from s5 to s10 pretty fast, but s11-s13 is currently where im taking a lot longer to proceed levels. i play with grippy socks instead of shoes haha
You should try searching for an old used SX or GX cab with the original pads... You may find some good price, and with that, you could totally forget about homemade pads.
First time I've heard of ballet bar used as a bar for PIU. It's a shame we don't have many amazing ways to play PIU/DDR at home except for basically cabs :/
A lot of players in the ITG/DDR community use ballet bars such as the brand "Booty Kicker", A lot of other home pad options like B2L and other homemade projects so don't be discouraged! I get what you mean though
So you buy the pads from L-tek, and how do you access the pump-it-up old songs? Does the pad come with software? Or do you download it from another place? I am new into this stuff. I played this as a kid lol
Sorry for the late reponse! You need to download software correct. Depending on the build if you include background videos, it could be 50+ GB so be mindful of that! If you just want to play the songs though the file size will be much smaller. You could start by reading this guide: www.5panel.dance/guide/PIU-Sim-Guide I personally would recommend Step1+ in here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18bGY7F55doL0jFXQR6E1xqDvNWuQsQawwFCI0FLFYDU/edit?usp=sharing
After I extract the Step2 Files there is only 1 song? It does look like its loading all the default files that came with the game but only one opion is available when I actually load the game.
whats your opinion on home made pads, im like 14 and i didnt even know you can buy pads for your home. Im making my own right now with the help of reddit.
super cool if you can make your own, pad market kinda blows so if you're experienced and knowledgeable enough I'm sure you can make something way better than the norm
would you recommend me buying the piudancepad or the ltek piu pad? Im know how to mod the ltek pads, but with piudancepad i dont even know if you can mod it, but ive heard great things about it regardless. Should i buy the ltek or piudancepad
I have no idea how I would go about modding the softpad, all I do is tape it when the aluminum contact sensors break. The most important factors are imo between the two pads: What's your current skill level? Do you want to use Pump as a social gathering device? What's your budget?
@@KRAMPIU the highest level ive beat is s14, and i do plan on inviting friends or maybe family to play, and yes budget is a problem. Im leaning very much on the soft pad since it comes with both so i can play doubles, at the cost of 216$.

I love this. Ive been playing PIU for 3-4 months and Im at S11 for most songs. I love it and hope to get a home setup one day. My friend has one.
❤️ keep up the good work man!! That's what it's all about :) good luck with the twists grind 💪
S11 on 3-4 months?? thats actually impressive

just thought of this but a set of dip bars might be a solid alternative as a back bar
I love pump it up, I’ve been playing for ~2 months and can do S15’s and D15’s with AAA - S ratings. Hopefully I can get a home setup soon😅
Progress Report, 5 Months in and we are currently Int.9, Soildly AAA D18's but I struggle with Singles. Adv.1 omw.

Did you reload songs? Are you on a separate profile and full mode?
You need to get the media packs for the songs, the folders for some reason just have the ssc files but no audio or images so they don't show up
Hi, can I ask you where did you get piu game for pc??? I’m looking for it for ages but I can’t find it.
did I see your post on reddit? Look up PumpSanity
no i didnt post there, thanks ill check that! @@KRAMPIU
what console does pump it up play?
officially, PS2 and the original xbox from what iirc
How much was the shipping for the pui softpad at the time you bought it?
Definitely cheaper than nowadays, I don't remember, I also got it discounted at the time
How many months did the soft pads last you?
I don't quite recall but I used it for at least over a year
So does that mean there isn't anything available for a durable pad other than actually trying to pay for an actual cab?!
I mean lteks are if you don't penny mod them and use tape instead
*copper tape
🤔🤔🤔🤔
Sweet vid/setup! Is the soft pad reliable when it comes to holding notes with heel and toe? And are the PIU posters on the wall from an actual arcade?
With use over time, yes
I'm pretty sure the posters are official arcade
Thank you!

DDR < ITG
PIU looks more fun and DDR looks stupid when you move.

no numpad on the keyboard 1/10 set up

I prefer full size tbh (since I hotkey my recording buttons to it) but on a setup like this I would never need it
