"We don't care about them we care about you" They showed this with that live stream on St Paddys day during the Coronavirus lockdown. They put on one hell of a show for free, for the internet. Great band, legends.
I saw them in concert, during a rock festival in a backward town in the East of France. Heck what a show they pulled ! Even though they're used to much bigger crowds they just seemed to enjoy themselves as much as the people watching them !
And it wasn` the last time they did that. Even their "New album release concert" will be streamed for free.

I was at that online concert. My first concert ever, watched together with someone special that was half way across the US. It was awesome, everything about, especially the feeling... Very powerful very awesome.

Agreed I remember sitting at a bar getting ready to break my sobriety and drink myself into a coma over a girl and heard this playing ... Broke my sobriety but instead of drinking myself into a coma I was playing pool with some stranger, got beat fair and square and enjoyed my night, been sober since then but I believe without this song I would have fell of the wagon hard and never came back

First discovered them in 1997 on the Give Em the Boot cd and I have seen them close to 25 times since 1999 and met them tons of times (was a street team leader from 00-07). Same awesome guys they were back when I first met them 17 years ago (well different lineup then and now). They bust their ass touring non stop. Always giving back and looking out for their fans.

American by birth, southern by the grace of god, and Scot Irish by blood. My fav song is still dirty glass but this plucker is catchy as hell. I've been lucky enough to visit scotland and ireland where my ancestors came from and when my son is old enough I would love to move to either.

@@bollweevil1976 ha, I listened to a lot punk, hard-core, industrial etc in my late teens / early twenties..fugazi, Dead Kennedys, Ministry, Pitchshifter but kinda grew a bit bored of it other than my favourite tracks and albums, so missed out on DKM when they started. Awesome mix of Irish folk and punk. 🙂

I've been a huge fan of you guys for over a decade and I happen to also be a recovering opiate addict. not only is this song a great tune, the message behind it is one of the best I've ever heard. you guys give me strength to keep going on the clean path and for that I say thank you, you have no idea how much its appreciated. next time you guys come to the east coast for whatever reason I'd love the chance to thank you guys in person instead of a comment like this and just hope you stumble across it.
I was an addict for 20 years from age 13 to 33..i kicked the habbit in 2006, clean for 6 years, then i got realy sick, an the hospitals and doctors did give me opiats, so i was back on it again for 6 years on oxycontin and oxynorm... im still very sick, so a devil came to me last week..and sayd,fuck it il wont do it no more, cold turkey, have had a nightmare of a weekend now...clean since wednesday, listening to Dropkick Murphy, feeling better and better :) best regards from Norway.

This would be the best fight song for a Irish mascot high school. Could you imagine the intimidation - the band marching in perfectly with the confidence of warriors, dressed in kilts, singing this strong as they play on pipes and drums and the fans adding in 'blood' 'blood'. Of course you would also have to have a really tough football team.
