the most likely reason for the controller to be dying despite being plugged in is either it got unplugged on the other end, or the cord needs to be replaced, those charger cords don't last forever.

As an old-school Monster Hunter, it makes me very happy to see Fatalis's old and clunky moveset finally get an update to better represent the absolute terror he is in the lore. The most noticeable difference is how he attacks *RIDICULOUSLY* faster now.
I wish he kept his blast breath attack and old roars
ok, i was confused as fuck when i literally killed him multiple times in previous games and half these moves wernt in his roster and he moves like he got sonic shoved up his ass. annoying as fuck for a hammer build.

I love just that the other elder dragons have unique traits like they using rocks to cover body, spikes, consuming elder dragons energy, elements control and there fatalis is just pure clasic dragon fire breath and brute strength.
That's what makes Fatalis so cool to me. There's hundreds of different monsters in MH, but very very few conform to the classic western (also kinda chinese) dragon form. And most of those are literally Fatalis variants.
I just recently got into MHW, GS main here, i told myself that i would solo every single monster the first time, i had many many walls, Alatreon made me think about switching weapons entirely, then i beat him, after that i was dreading Fatalis, so many attempts later and i finally beat him today, after all the rage the satisfaction was so so much bigger than the rage and the sheer amount of adrenaline rush was incredible. Love this game
With all the beautiful monster and wyvern designs the MH series have all these years, I love how the strongest monster of them all is a straight up dragon.
Fatalis was designed to evoke very old school western dragon designs, almost serpent like. It was made to be a very fantastical contrast to the more grounded-ish designs of typical monsters, a legendary beast of destruction. Not as fancy as most Elder Dragons, but brutally, overwhelmingly powerful :3

Agreed, it doesn't matter how long it took him or how many deaths it required. All that matters is that Max killed Fatalis stuck to it and killed a god among monsters, and that is the sign of a true Monster Hunter.

My theory is that he is humoring the hunters, "oh, so you want to be a bush now, let's see where this goes." I mean, the reason he stands on his hind legs during the fight it to mock the hunters and humans in general. It's also why he melts hunters onto himself, cause we wear other monsters. Maybe he likes the idea of us changing things up and wearing plants... Idk, Fatalis is a monster born between fury and nature.
@@JustCozItsMe I've always loved the lore of Fatalis. Most Elder Dragons just do their thing and when that thing conflicts with humanity Hunters go and stop them. Not Fatalis though, he actively seeks out humans to kill because he still harbors a grudge from the war.
@@JustCozItsMe Fatalis is actually half blind but has insane hearing and smell, meaning that as soon as it understands that it's just a costume what's movimg around and not "just a bush", it WILL focus to attack it.
Its eyes are the gems/rare materials for a reason.

I'm so happy that Iceborne gave us a Fatalis that represents the lore behind him.
Yea in the older games black fatalis wasn’t all that. Can’t say the same for certain white fatalis and crimson frontier wise and non frontier wise.
Old World Fatalis definitely isn’t as visually impressive as Iceborne Fatalis, to be sure. However, the way I hear it, Gen 1-2 Fatalis fights were, gameplay wise, very similar to the Iceborne fight. You had to be very careful or else you’d get wiped, and you still had to do a lot of damage. 4U and GU Fatalis, though having more moves, is still too weak to be tough for the higher mobility and less squishy hunters post-Tri, so that version of Fatalis definitely doesn’t live up to the legend like Iceborne’s Fatalis does :O

Fatalis's moveset and AI seem specifically tuned to keep the hunters within a certain distance of him.
The farther you get the more likely he is to break out the big area sweeping attacks.
He specifically goes for finishers on low health players.
He snipes anyone that uses the artillery, and sometimes he just flat out squats on it so you can't use it.
It's honestly the BEST AI in the game, making him the best fight. I'm so happy we ended on this Fatalis fight instead of that cheeseball Alatreon one. Thank you Capcom for putting Fatti in!
As someone who grinded Fatalis to make anything and everything using his stuff, I can confirm that with utter disgust and laughter

It took my friend and I so long to duo this fight. We went through all of monster hunter together--twice, and we decided we'd end it together by getting the Fatalis clear together.
IT was an incredibly rough journey, with plenty of breaks in-between due to life. At the end of it, though, we finally did it, and it felt GREAT!
10:20 the SYNC! We love to see it. You made such a pain in the ass fight a pleasure to watch, and even laugh with.
At first I thought Fatalis to the sound of Pull my Devil Trigger was perfection.
Then I saw Runt playing the drums to the beat of the percussion(10:02) and I said "No... this is perfection".
Fatalis is one of those monsters where you gotta really fucking earn it. Myself and a friend spent a week trying to kill him before we finally got it. We were so elated that we nearly forgot to carve the bastard! Truly one of the most satisfying bosses to beat in gaming history.

This was the first Boss Rush I actually followed live during his streams. And man, was it one hell of a ride.
8:54 you KNOW Max means business when Devil Trigger starts playing.
This fight is tougher than anything I've ever experienced in Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1, 2, & 3, Bloodborne, and Nioh 1 & 2... And I freakin' love it. There's no bullspit DPS checks or armor checks. No roar locks into unavoidable death. No "haha, gotcha" crap. It's just a pure test of skill from beginning to end with a great build up the whole way through. Even the music is friggin' good. Exactly the kind of fight the game needed to close out 3 years. Capcom... ya done good.
Nioh is stretching it, but I have to agree. Fatalis is incredibly challenging, I dare say #1 and I have played all Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Code Vein, Nioh 1 and Sekiro.
@@moonum4567 I think that in a vacuum he isn't so hard. What makes him hard is the duration of focus he requires. You can kill the hardest Soulsborne/Sekiro boss in less than 5 minutes, but Fatalis needs you to be on your A-game for like 15 minutes. And that's what makes him truly challenging compared to the soulsborne bosses, because he's just such a long fight.

Definitely one of the most legendary boss rages ever!!! Fatalis was crazy and made for a super fun boss rage, who would have known it would have been a 3 day long one! But the pay off was worth it!!!

I soloed ONCE with a greatsword and a literal time of 29:59. I stood up to cheer that day.

I beat him second try with zsd spam. Got a kill time of a little less than 29 minutes. Was solo without any safi gear.
@@dorianrobinette9712 zsd spam playstyle is really easy... I played every weapon on the game except switch axe... after I try few combo with switch axe in training room then go solo fight fatalis with fatalis gear... I was able completed in sub 18min while I have do a lot of time in my main weapon to achieve 16min...

I watched him do the whole 3 days live, and it was very fun watching Max go from “4 gunlances will f**k this thing up” to the many hours of build crafting and mastering his strategy to fight the GOD OF ALL MONSTERS!!!

In 2018, the year it launched it was the best selling game in all of Japan. No Monster Hunter has come close to its reception globally, or locally. "Flopped" and World don't belong in the same dimension.

This is officialy my favorite boss rage episode to date I freaking love it so much and mate you perserviered through that like a champ! I definitely teared up when I saw his death scene start playing when I solo'd it for the first time. Don't give up, every cart is new knowledge and skill building up for the next attempt. I now wear it's wings and helped slay it for my under-geared brother which was an amazing duo hunt that had us both sweating. That triumphant monster hunter theme that kicks in at low health is an amazing adrenaline rush unlike no other.
A 10/10.... now that’s a number I didn’t expect to see again...

I'm never going to get over how well edited this boss rages are devil trigger playing there at the end as he was finally doing it was freaking perfect
You know, back when Alatreon came out I was so salty that he was carried through that encounter by the usual people that help him while my friends and I took days to beat it, that I left a remark about in his video.
When Fatalis came out and I saw them fail and fail again, I'm not gonna lie, it made me happy that they couldn't just carry him though this encounter. And when he decided that he was gonna solo it, I thought it was a fool's errand but I watched anyway, all the while failing at the quest over and over with my friends.
I gotta say, seeing Max throw himself at Fatalis over and over, advancing little by little and eventually beating it inspired me to give it a go by myself after a weekend of failures. I beat it on my second try using some of the stuff I saw him do. I don't know why I posted all of this, but I guess I just wanted to say thanks for showing me that if you can do it with enough effort, then I could too.
He's easier solo for sure, but I'm so much more glad he decided to solo it rather than get carried
I absolutely love Fatalis, I fought him in MH4U and he was an absolute cakewalk. Granted, I fought him with a full party of optimized players who knew what they were doing. I haven’t played World (Burnout from playing too much MH4 and Gen) so I’m sure he’s much more difficult in that. From what I’ve seen, his fight is pretty epic in World.
Music choice & editing was aces. Congrats on the kill Max. You had that shit on farm afterwards.
