Loved the episode.....We are the 2 couples that were happy to share our water - Liam and Jo in the Colorado and Martyn and I (Larissa) in the Landcruiser. So glad to see you made it out safely. We ended up staying on the Hay River Track (loved it). To make you feel better the Colorado aircon was not working properly from the start and our aircon hose blew that same day so we were all feeling the heat also that day. But loved the adventure. Now this has made me decide to get on with the editing of our video too.
Thank you so much for the water and chat, you guys were awesome! I sometimes wonder if the good folk we meet ever find my channel ... so I have to ask, how did you? Is there a dirt bike rider among your friends? And yes, edit your journey - it's so good to look back in over time!

@joefigl in Ireland we say John and Mary.... just typical and common names to describe the "average" Aussie or Paddy slightly older couple... not meant as a slight , or as an insult.. like a term of endearment towards your fellow citizens
All the fuel in the world for your bike won’t get you anywhere without enough water for your body. A good reminder how the Outback of Australia should never be underestimated. Another great video Adam. Safe travels👍
Seeing Rodney struggling in the desert make you realize what a challenge you guys are measuring against to. Not to mention one of the best storytelling in this type of content! Proud to support this channel
Great reel, really shows how the Australian outback should not be underestimated, especially on big heavy bikes. The boys made it look easy but remember they are both fit, strong and very good riders. Proper adventure ✅
You have to pinch yourself ever now and then to remind yourself you're alive when sitting on the sofa with a cuppa watching things like this. Can only guess at the heat and exhaustion. Awesome video ❤ 👏
These desert run videos are some of my favorites of all your videos. The feeling of remoteness, danger, and adventure are what I enjoy in my own rides. Just this year I was down to half a liter of piss warm water when I finally rolled into camp on an unexpectedly hot day. Makes one appreciate how good life is to just turn on the tap for cool, clean water and a soft bed.

This is amazing to watch. Brings back many memories - although that red sand and the heat drains the soul. I did this route - or at least across Simpson Desert in 1989 on an XT 500 ( no tent, military bivvie bag and Kendal mint cake) - I broke down and was very dehydrated but had recently done a SF selection course and was as fit as a butchers dog - pushed to the limit. A Bob character came to my rescue with water, sweet tea and a hot meal of fried luncheon meat - I really didn’t know what I was doing and was lucky. This year (actually a month or so before I met Adam at ABR in U.K.) I dropped my 1190 Adv R fully laden in Namib Desert and was stuck underneath with right foot pointing backwards - wriggled free in the soft sand and found I hurt my knee - now seriously thinking of those knee braces - although my AlpineStar Tech 7s and my armour saved me from being crushed -- In Nubian desert me and missus were going through 10 litres of water a day - you really need to watch the dehydration as it creeps up on you and can make you hallucinate or worse -- trouble is too much fuel and water weighs you down - Still I’d do it all again
"This is testing everything, Rodney, also you and me". Fantastic! Another epic adventure. Wish I could ride half as well as you. And have your courage and competence for crossing the Simpson desert. Love your films and undramatic get-it-done stance. You are an "influencer", Adam, but don't act as one. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg

They will join forces and turn that mean suppressed energy toward you. Incredible views. Glad you found a water source. At 104F it makes a long hard day when everything goes right. I was a desert dog for a few years. It will test you in ways you can't imagine. Laying on a sand dune with a hot bike on top of you and momentarily no way out will speed the mind into overdrive with warp coming up if you can't get out. Rodney did well. I found it interesting when you said : “start questioning why your even doing this” made me recall buying an XR 200R brand new after smashing my clavicle on a YZ then realising I was more suited to Enduros. As a teenager or teenagers as my mates all rode. We would never question riding say from Burbengary to Buderim through the Pine Forest all weekend. Never any question as to why when your young. So if I ever get the opportunity to ride again.😊
Adam, we need Bob and Marj Tee Shirts !! I'd love to be walking around here in Japan with a Bob and Marj Tee Shirt mate 😅
All of this^^^ I’d gladly wear them here in the states.
Great man, it's also wonderful to hear the Tenere roar like that :) Top
