Hi everyone 🖤 grab a tissue and settle in, this one is a LOT! As a side note, I had to play around with the audio levels a lot in this one as the fight scenese were VERY loud - with the "stable volume" setting on on youtube it sounds okay for me so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 the next part, taking revenge on bald mountain, is up on Wednesday (or today for early access members)! As always, gentle reminder for no spoilers and to refrain from backseating
Well... without Keira here could be two witchers dead instead just one - remember scene with Lambert right? :) And hope you like books, yet if you read Sword of Destinity it's still just begining and prologue to true story.

btw cool little detail at 20:08 that was Hjalmar jumping into one of the wild hunt portals with one of the riders and a few seconds later he pops out of another portal alone. Saying "Nah, Skellige gets colder". That line is so bad ass considering the entire reason the wild hunt wants Ciri is because they want to move into the world of the humans because of their world has been taken over by the white frost.
yes I thought 'you saved us' was the better my first time around but I was wrong. Geralt doesnt really say "no blame but grief" but " I dont know how to cry", Ciri gives him a hug. much better
That line "you always were an unruly child, I adored that about you" gets me EVERY time, no matter how many times I see or play that quest. It was Hjalmar that tackled the wild hunt warrior into the portal, it you're looking in the right direction at the right time you see him come out of another portal covered in snow and ice. There's lots of cool things like that going on but it's so chaotic in the battle it's hard to keep track of them. It does a great job of showing the sheer chaos of a battle like that. Great video as always, love to see Emotional Nyx
CDPR really knew what they were doing by choosing Vesimir to go. Of all the characters 😭 Ahh thats really cool (pun not intended)!! It really was chaotic, I could barely keep track of what I was meant to be doing 😅 Thanks! It was an emotional rollercoaster this one, I don't think I've ever cried this much on camera, I rarely cry this much off camera 😭
The Aftermath of the Battle of Kaer Morhen and Vesemir's funeral are hands down the most well made cinematics in the whole game. The perfect face expressions, the camera shots, the writing. The montage of places untended to in Vesemir's absence, combined with the Farewell, Old Friend OST always gets me no matter how many times I've seen it. It is pure poetry and the fact that this is in a video game is unreal to me.
Honestly even before the battle. The way they gave a montage of all the main characters had me so on edge from the very beginning 🥲 the aftermath was heartbreaking though, Geralt's face had the EXACT same expression as when he believed Ciri was dead and it hurt to watch
yes..exactly...for me too.... there are some moments in HoS (quest "Scenes from a marriage") and BaW (final conversation before credits) DLCs that i can compare to this scene...VaFail Vesemir
That's actually a magic power she has - her scream when she's severely uncontrollably emotional Superb 1970s TV show "The Incredible Hulk" describes it brilliantly .. A gentle, kind man has - due to a botched scientific experiment - an uncontrollable hidden rage inside him When low-life gangsters and criminals antagonise him, he pleads with them "please don't make me angry. You won't like me when I'm angry ..." Of course, they make him angry - and he transforms into this uncontrolled horrific green creature with the power to destroy just about anything in his path! When he calms down - he knows its time move on, accompanied by a brilliant piano piece ... a loner with no home, a kind soul always haunted by the devil within ... Avallach is right - Ciri is just such a character ... uncontrolled, she could be even worse than The Incredible Hulk by miles
After getting something in my eye when you found Ciri I had to join to watch the battle at Kaer Morhen! Thank you for a great trip back through this game. Far and away my favorite of the genre.
Thankyou for joining!! I don't blame you for getting something in your eye, these two eps were something else 😭 I haven't played loads of games but this one fast became a favourite 🥹
The storytelling of this part of the game-finding Ciri, going to Kaer Moren, the Battle, and the aftermath-is frankly, superb. A tight balance of joy, anxiety, ,excitement, grief and hope. Bringing all the grand elements (the mystical island, an epic battle of magic & steel, a heart-wrenching funeral and more) to a close with a simple snowball fight between a father and his daughter is perfect.
This was so fun to watch. Best reaction to this quest that I’ve seen. I’m going to send this to Pawel Sasko. Lead Quest Designer on W3 and the one who implemented The Battle of Kaer Morhen. He used to love doing reactions on his UA-cam channel. Maybe he’ll do yours. He has talked a bunch about how this quest was his most difficult to implement and how much he loves to see people’s reactions. As game developers, this is why we do what we do. Whether the emotions are happy or sad, we love to see gamers invested in the things we make. Amazing episode Nyx.
Thankyou 🥹 honestly it'd be so cool to have my playthrough seen by anyone at CDPR - if only so they can see how impactful their game is, though I'm sure they know by now 😂 I spent a lot of time reading articles about immersion and interactivity for my dissertation, and the power held in games and by devs is truly undervalued. This game I think really shows how important a medium it is 🥹
Yes, I get emotional too, yes, every damn time I see the scene of Ciri's reunion and the battle in Kaer Morhen. Your playthrough moved me even more than I experienced in the game itself. This just shows how well you lead your narrative. Thanks! This is what we ultimately seek in games - real emotions and immersion. The game breaks away from the classic story structure present in most games, where the final battle (usually victorious) is the climax, followed by the ending. The world of the Witcher is brutal and unpredictable also through its narrative structure - the battle is lost, the losses are huge, players are devastated, and the battle does not end the gameplay. By the way - the battle at Kaer Morhen could have been even more tragic, but thanks to your decisions, you saved someone's life. I can't wait for more episodes, keeping my fingers crossed for your decisions.
Yeaaaah, everything in this episode is... It's a lot, emotionally speaking. I played W3 completely blind, didn't read the books or anything, and we don't actually spend that much time with Vesemir in the game, but his death still has a massive emotional impact. Impeccable writing. You've still got quite a bit left of the base game, including some larger side quests, and the DLCs are quite long, too - you needn't worry about running out of game to play anytime soon 😅
I'm with you conpletely, its amazing how they made it so emotional even for players new to The Witcher world. I guess I'm just nervous to finish the main game 😅 I always get nervous towards the end of a story!!
The game is an emotional rollercoaster... Remember Princess? And after bringing her back to the pellar you get some inside into The barons and Annas history... Now it is the reverse: After Vesemirs death and funeral you have a snowball fight with Ciri. Reading the title of the next video I assume you are already back in Novigrad. I recommend to help Triss early, so you can talk to her afterwards to finish certain side quests.
It's very very tempting to give hints like this but I think we all should restrain from it! Remember, "no spoilers or backseating", and this kinda straddles that line, I think. :-)
Dealing with a cold at the moment for the past almost week and today my nose is a wreck due to all the crying from this video and that last one lol. Great video again as always, looking forward to the next one.
From a writing perspectice, after being familiar of how stories like these are structured, it was inevitable that someone would die. Vesemir seemed an obvious candidate. He is the father figure to all, and these tend to get killed off in these hero stories. Lambert was also a likely candidate, considering he is the grumpy brother that people seem to respect more than like. Killing him off would have also made for good oportunities to show that the people around him DO care about him and love him despite his grumpiness and brash behaviour. All that being said, I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for taking us along. I've played this game when it came out, probably played it 4 times in total, including 2 complete runs with all the other Witcher games preceeding it (I played all of them as they were released). I also have watched quite a few playthroughs on UA-cam and I remember when you started. Others have bigger channels, and went through it much faster, but you'r approach stands out, how you savour the whole thing. So you may not have the biggest following and at your pace it will probably take another year until you are done with all of it, but that is what makes your playthrough so special. And I love coming back after a while and check in to see where you are at. And then I watch 2 or 3 episodes and drop out again and come back 3 months later again. It's a comforting feeling knowing that you are still at it and getting to experience it for the first time. So enjoy the ride. And I bet you, you will cry at the very end of Blood and Wine. Happy tears. I promise.
lambert actually can die in this battle if kiera isn't there... but you basically have to let him die on purpose (he's very durable). it's kind of funny and sad that nobody seems to care if he does die
Even though I expected *someone* to go, I didn't think it'd be Vesemir. Perhaps I was in denial that he could be a possibility though 🥲 Thanks for your comment 😊 its been a rollercoaster prior to this year, mainly thanks to University, but its resulted in such a kind community that I'm so appreciative of!! The game has become so important to me because of how long I've been playing it too 😅 hope to see you again in a future vid! I'm excited for the DLCs 😁
Have played this game untold amount of times, and i still cry at those two points hhh. Especially at the point off Geralt realicing what has happened. The only thing that comes to mind after is "they hurt my boi Garalt, they will pay"
Yeah this was an emotional moment. For me as well. Heartbreaking, every time. Even now that I know what's going to happen. This game has also touched me in several ways, not just in the Kaer Morhen fight. Given me some insights into myself, why I make certain choices that I make. On another note, I just noticed for the first time at the start of this video that you are wearing a Witcher medallion! I don't know when you first started wearing it! Edit: PS: Once you've read the books, you'll know that Geralt has very good reasons not to trust the lodge!
I think games can be so impactful in the way. Sometimes they make you sit and think about your choices, and the consequences they bring I think I wore it once ages ago, but it felt right to wear in this one!!
@@nyxandchill The choices in a game like Witcher 3 are often so grey with unforeseen consequences much later, and I love that. Almost never will an outcome be "just good", and almost never will a choice be "obviously evil". And when such choices are, then they set you up for a reversal later. I once tried to play the first Fable game on PC. I was really turned off by all the choices being so clearly and up-front being totally binary. "Oh, do this and it will lead you down the Good path!", "But do this and it will lead you down the Evil path!". "You are now seen as 5% Evil by the people!". This was a huge turn-down for me for that game. It makes the whole game just so boring, for me. And in no way impactful.
This episode was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. Vesemir’s death hit especially hard - the game’s writing and voice acting perfectly conveyed emotional reactions. You can really feel the weight of the loss as the battle ends. Despite the sadness, I loved seeing your decision that led to Geralt and Ciri’s snowball fight. It was such a tender, heartwarming moment after all the tragedy. It showed just how strong their bond is, and it was a beautiful way to bring a bit of hope back into the story
According to the character updates in the journal, Vigi died in the fight. Journal is unclear about Folan, but since only Hjalmar was around at the pyre, Folan also died, probably.
@@nyxandchill When you first arrived at Kaer Morhen and made your towards the middle courtyard, they were standing next to Hjalmar (one on each side of him), by a left-hand turn. Zoltan was next in line towards the keep.
I cry everytime and im also not usually a crier . There’s a few games that have brought that out of me. This is one. Also “I’m afraid” in RDR2 gets me everytime.
I cried every time I see this this scene, but I cried some more because of how you reacted to this scene. I no longer felt alone when I saw your reaction. This scene cut me up, and it was here that I realised just how talented CD Projekt Red were. 😢
dammmnnnn i forgot how emotion this part of the game is! gives so much space and time to allow the emotions to really hit, gets me everytime. can't wait for the next video now ive finally caught up with the playthrough :)
A nice consoling surprise is that you still have to fight the wild hunt and above all, the DLC's which are such great stories that they practically do not deviate from the original and are very pleasant to play after finishing the main thread :)
Vesemir died protecting the ones he loved, there is no better death. I think the lines of Lambert speak volumes of his inner feelings. I am normally not commenting that much here on youtube, but i wanted to say that i really enjoyed your playthrough so far, it seems very genuine and honest. Stay as you are and feel a little huged for comfort. :) Greetings from Germany.
When you attack they can see you. That is an aggressive move. What I didn’t expect when I first played is that you go invisible again when you stop attacking.
This is my first time watching your channel. The title you wrote called to me. I absolutely love The Witcher 3. It's nearly ruined other games for me because they all seem so shallow in comparison. I'm a guy and I too cried in parts. It's the only game that has ever made me do that. Thanks for sharing your playthrough. I'll probably go back and watch all your posts for this game now.
I absolutely love it when games pull together all the characters and threads they've been building up for an epic conclusion, with real stakes. Not sure any other medium can pull off the same narrative impact, because of the feeling of journeying with them etc. Once you're done, hope you'll check out how the outcomes could've been different if different allies hadn't been there, like Keira... even outcomes could change, which is very cool design.
There won't be game like this ever again. I'm sad i can't play it for the first time again, but at least i can see others play it. So i got that going for me Which is nice.
I've heard the director and some of the devs from TW3 have a new game coming out in the next year or so - Blood of Dawnwalker I think?? I'm hopeful they'll give a similar level of storytelling, but considering the amount of lore and history of the characters in The Witcher series, I worry you're right. The Witcher 4 might give a little hope, I'll wait to watch the trailer though 🤞🏻
@nyxandchill Dawnwalker has a cinematic trailer out and it's freaking awsome. As I've heard in Witcher4 instead of killing monsters we will be fighting patriarchy and exploring Ciris sexuality so my expectations are close to zero on that one. But hopefully they don't screw up Witcher1 remaster that should also be in works
@@keyser5555considering the new Witcher devs made the “External Fire’s Shadows” quest that was added a couple years ago to test their capabilities I wouldn’t care about online rumours. They’re making a game about the Witcher. The trailer was killing a monster. It’ll be fine
@@RyansFiles It was one short quest. Full game needs 100 of them. Too many game franchises have been destroyed in last few years because of "The Message", i really dont want Witcher to suffer the same fate. I truly hope they are just rumours.
@@keyser5555I've watched countless interviews with CDPR on the TW4 after the trailer was drop and none of them ever said anything like that. If you consume grift content then that's what you'll always see. All the director said is that we'll see Ciris journey on how she became an official Witcher. Dunno how people interpret that as fighting patriarchy and exploring sexuality. Also are we really gonna ignore Cyberpunk???? And phantom liberty??? PL is literally one of the greatest DLC/expansion of all time. Up there with HoS, B&W and Shadow of The Erdtree etc etc. People like to spread doom and gloom. I block all of those channels from my feed.
I remember the horror playing this battle. I already loved all the characters by then: Geralt, Yen, Ciri, Triss, Vesemir, Kiera, Lembart, Eskel... and many more. I couldn't bear to think that one of them would just go... and it freaking happened with papa Vesemir. He saved Ciri. Probably my favorite battle in any game.
I started watching on my phone, but then i was like nah i need a bigger screen for this one. Suddenly out of nowhere a ninja popped near me and started cutting onions or something... No matter how many times i've played through it or seen it, the scene with Vesemir always gets me.
52:10 - "Nervous for it to end" Understandable, but don't fret, plenty more yet to do. IMHO, Hearts of Stone DLC feels like a DLC, a good one, but an expansion none the less. BUT then comes Blood and Wine and it's like a new game all on it's own. Blood and Wine is my favorite part of the whole game. Won't say any more than that.🤐
In the very beginning of the game Geralt says he had a nightmare that Ciri is attacked and he is frozen and couldn't move. Think that was foreshadowing to the moment where he actually is frozen.
to be honest, although I feel very strongly for all of these characters, even the painful scenes of this part never made me shed a tear. maybe it's because I first played this right when it came out, barely fifteen and not having the sense for the story or the experience to feel the gravity of these emotions. rough time in a boys life, i suppose. but watching your reaction to vesemirs last stand made me shed some tears too. what a great game at this point. I don't want to say it's cliché to have to deal with loss in story games nowadays, but rarely it really gets under your skin like in witcher 3, that's for sure ^^
Lots of highs and lows between the isle of mists and the battle kaer morhen. Still more battles yet. Good job. If Kiera wasnt there Lambert had a chance of dying too. Notice Vesemirs pyre was a double wide for Lambert laying there too. Could of interacted with the pyre and said a few words too
Honestly first time I got to this quest I was so anxious I deleted my save file and replayed the game so I could get everyone to come to Kaer Morhen, and from what CDPR this quest was a real technical challenge, and they deliver in spades I always get sad by the time it ends!
I have really enjoyed your reactions and love for this game. CD Projekt Red are a very talented studio with the power to tell a story in video games that I believed had been lost since Planescape Torment. Please don’t ignore the DLC because they are brilliant too. 😊
I cried a bit while I was playing this mission in the game, but seeing someone else as deeply invested as you suffer makes the emotional impact so much more real. Every time you started crying, I was a mess too. My t-shirt was a bit damp by the end. LOL. I hope you don't dive directly into a NG+ playthrough after this, but instead play something shorter and different like Detroit: Become Human to help you move on.
If you turn on the "stable volume" setting on youtube (might be under additional settings) I think it should make it better - I had to play around a *lot* with the audio levels as the fight scenes were LOUD so some parts might be a bit quieter 🥲
What gets me is Vesemir to Geralt is what Geralt is to Ciri, someone who is not related but is the true father figure. Even tho he doesn't show it much (prolly because he has Ciri to worry about), I'm sure Geralt's devastated. Also since you're nearing the DLCs, please try to finish "Lady of the Lake" book before Blood & Wine. Obviously can't explain. 🤐
For sure this was rough to play/experience. I don't think I expected anything like that to happen during my play-through, and then they threw that gut-punch. Yeah... that hit pretty hard. I've only played through the game once and it was a few years ago. This "quest" is by far the most memorable and I actually don't remember what happened afterwards, nor how it ended 😉
Nyx i've randomly were checking how Kate Bush were looking when she was young and randomly discovered that you are look 1:1 like her when she was young. Hahaha. Anyone told you that before?
29:20 this is not a spoiler, because it is obvious that such a story should have an impressive ending. In short, you have to go through "Blood and Wine" to the end.
Over 10 years and four playthroughs and this still brings tears to my eyes, even when it is not me playing it. And then the 10th anniversary movie did it again. this game is SO good! Only two more games made me cry in quite a few decades of gaming: Disco Elysium and first and foremost Transistor. And please, as good as it is, please do not watch the 10th anniversary before playing both DLCs. it will spoil some surprises.
I have watched dozens of Let's Play Witcher 3 videos and literally 100 percent of them choose "You Saved Us", even though "There's no blame, just grief" provides a much more loving response between Ciri and Geralt. I'm always hoping someone will make the other choice but they never, ever do. Sad. CDPR should have written a better cue for the first response.
The Witcher 3 is such a great game, but damn I hated playing as Ciri. lol I appreciate it via a story telling pov, but I was always so happy when those parts were over. So glad the DLCs didn't have any of those types of moments.
Wow - why did i do that to me? Has been a while since i played that game, but everytime i watch the kaer morhaen battle its gets me emotional again. And yes, i always cry too. So its no shame being a part of us teardropping gamers, we cry. But I wonna tell you a fact, that indeed only a few gamers know. At 31:37, can you see how wide the wooden staple is? The reason is, when you haven't Keira being part in the battle and if she didn't save Lambert in the battle ..... Lambert would have also died and lie beneath Vesemir. So it will be interresting to watch you during the last moments of that adventure and be sure - you will need some more handkerchiefs.
It makes no difference with the Lodge. Their hubris knows no bounds. Yes, they are the only true answer to the problem but they are not very likeable. Yennefer doesn’t like the lodge either.
I see people says soon and it's good because i also felt that way, but then i thought after Sunday" there 18 quests ~ cannot be more than 20, yeah without counting I can atleast mark 20+ quests, which is not a spoiler
"My voice is so wavery at the moment - I'm sorry .." There's no blame. Just grief I'm not sure you understand the overall structure of the games .... Essentially, you can play ANY of the DLCs right now, as part of the story ... and go back to the main story or any of the other ones - and the game knows! For example; There's a minor character in the utterly brilliant "Hearts of Stone" that asks Geralt what happened to Vesemir ... Geralt only has bad news. HOWEVER! - If you had somehow chosen to do Hearts of Stone before the Battle of Kaer Morhen, Geralt has different, much nicer dialogue to give to this character It's all mashed together, and you can switch between them as much as you like But I know you like to keep things tidy! So - only do New Game + (if you must) ... after completing the WHOLE GAME; which is the base game, Hearts of Stone + Blood and Wine combined I did New Game+ as my second playthrough - it was boring ... I won ever battle easily - like a procession; tidied up some missing side-quests though ... But my third playthrough - I simply started from scratch and loved it all over again ...
Something in the soul dies, something new is born in it. The wheel of life. This game is the closest imitation of our life, of all I know, although (paradoxically) based on a story far distant from it. But such are the principles of good stories, they are timeless, extra-dimensional. Your play of W3WH is not fun to watch. "Fun" just sounds to petty...
@@nyxandchill 🤔I'm not sure if I haven't written this before, that watching your videos is like watching myself in the wild. That is to say, the feeling of similarity and familiarity will prevail here. And that is very comforting. Hence I love to watch your stuff so much. Looking for focus in chaos, darkness in light, light in darkness, sunset in the east and "Jeff Glodblum in the fly"....
didnt interect with the pyre to pay respects... smh unsub, disliked... jk but you forgot i think, also good choices so far, choices from here impact the ending.
I've always felt that Vesemir had the most dignified death that a witcher could ask for. He knew he had to essentially sacrifice himself to ensure Ciri didn't give in to the hunt's demands. 🥲
Yesss MOARRR PAINNNN😈🫠 "You don't know how it is, to see someone you love, die because of you, for you" always gut punch me😭 Also Lambert could've died if you didnt sent keira to Kaer Morhen. You could still save him tho. Just have to hurry.

Rip to our favourite uncle Ves 😢. This part of the game really got me when I played this game for the first time.
this is one of my favorite quest in the base game, really glad you made it this far. now im excited for the dlcs!
It HURT 😭 but I can see why its a favourite, for sure 🥲
Game that makes you laugh, and makes you cry. Or sometimes both at the same time.
This, ladies and gentelmen, is what we call "work of art".
I've played this game a few times and Vesemir's "You always were an unruly child. I adored that about you" gets me every single time. Papa Vesemir
Watching the early vids. Classic quote, "I spent all my money on potatoes." LOL
Perhaps I was in denial that he could be a possibility though 🥲
Thanks for your comment 😊 its been a rollercoaster prior to this year, mainly thanks to University, but its resulted in such a kind community that I'm so appreciative of!! The game has become so important to me because of how long I've been playing it too 😅 hope to see you again in a future vid! I'm excited for the DLCs 😁
Aw this was such a sweet reaction. We feel your pain.
Edit:
PS: Once you've read the books, you'll know that Geralt has very good reasons not to trust the lodge!
I think games can be so impactful in the way. Sometimes they make you sit and think about your choices, and the consequences they bring
I think I wore it once ages ago, but it felt right to wear in this one!!
You cry as much as you need. The fact that you care makes your channel shine.
According to the character updates in the journal, Vigi died in the fight. Journal is unclear about Folan, but since only Hjalmar was around at the pyre, Folan also died, probably.
I don't know how I didn't realise Vigi and Folan were with Hjalmar, no wonder he looked so sad 😭
I cried every time I play this chapter. But I am glad that I do. I cried along with you Nyx.😢
The music in this part of the game is beautiful too.
One of the best quests in any rpg ever
A nice consoling surprise is that you still have to fight the wild hunt and above all, the DLC's which are such great stories that they practically do not deviate from the original and are very pleasant to play after finishing the main thread :)
I'm very excited for the DLCs, but nearing the end of the main game is nerve-wracking 😂 especially when I know whats at stake now!
37:05 that face hahah of yours haha
CDPR put a lot of care in this game!
It is an experience!
Thank you Nyx! for sharing it with us!
I've done like 4 playthroughs and watched others play it a dozen times, and it still gets me every time. It doesn't get any easier.
I teared up once again, like you predicted 💔
The devs, writers, director, voice actors, EVERYONE, wanted to make us suffer 😭
We all were there Nyx!
23:06 loot bag took me out of it 😂
25:41 agh I'd forgotten how much I don't care for her default outfit 😬
52:10 - "Nervous for it to end" Understandable, but don't fret, plenty more yet to do. IMHO, Hearts of Stone DLC feels like a DLC, a good one, but an expansion none the less. BUT then comes Blood and Wine and it's like a new game all on it's own. Blood and Wine is my favorite part of the whole game. Won't say any more than that.🤐
I’m supposed to relax when I get in from work but I guess it’s time for more stress 🤷🏽♂️
Can we just take a second to appreciate The Witcher 3. Goddamn. ❤
We can take at least two seconds 😌
SHit, hits hard every time.
She’s nearing the middle of the story!
In the very beginning of the game Geralt says he had a nightmare that Ciri is attacked and he is frozen and couldn't move. Think that was foreshadowing to the moment where he actually is frozen.
maybe something more wholesome: 15:02 in your first Witcher 3 video - that looks like Vesemir as drowner by Ciri;)
I never noticed that drawing 😂
❤ Thank you for the emotions you brought to this video, Nyx 🥰
this reaction is allsome.....bravo
to be honest, although I feel very strongly for all of these characters, even the painful scenes of this part never made me shed a tear. maybe it's because I first played this right when it came out, barely fifteen and not having the sense for the story or the experience to feel the gravity of these emotions. rough time in a boys life, i suppose. but watching your reaction to vesemirs last stand made me shed some tears too. what a great game at this point. I don't want to say it's cliché to have to deal with loss in story games nowadays, but rarely it really gets under your skin like in witcher 3, that's for sure ^^
Wow. Hold your tears for hearts of stone and b&w dlc...
When it comes to hold back tears. I would like to see you play Mass Effect 1-3.
Vesemirs death killed us all.
Hell yea it's about time! By the way, is the game audio kinda low or is it just me?
If you turn on the "stable volume" setting on youtube (might be under additional settings) I think it should make it better - I had to play around a *lot* with the audio levels as the fight scenes were LOUD so some parts might be a bit quieter 🥲
oh my god Ciri very powerful
Well... I guess we are not taking a nap in the next hour
No naps, just napkins (for the tears)
Lambert and Keira would make a cute dysfunctional couple. They deserve little happiness
The wild hunt cannot teleport but can use other methods to singly get in. Triss conjured Ciri’s sword back into her hand by magic.
Yesss, finally here
Yep, the Witcher 3 truly has a bit of everything. High fantasy, liaisons with sorceresses, political intrigue and best of all a snowball fight!
😂😂 you know, I'm not sure if I've been told that, but after googling young Kate Bush, she looks very much like my mum when she was younger!
Only 2 mins in. 'We're looking at all our friends... and Triss'. :D
That sounds so bad out of context 😂😂
I have watched dozens of Let's Play Witcher 3 videos and literally 100 percent of them choose "You Saved Us", even though "There's no blame, just grief" provides a much more loving response between Ciri and Geralt. I'm always hoping someone will make the other choice but they never, ever do. Sad. CDPR should have written a better cue for the first response.
More like Battle at cry more-an.
Ayyyyyoooooo
Hej Nyx, here we go again. Tears and sadness as we approach closer to the dlc's (I'm so hyped for Blood & Wine). Thank you for the video ❤🤙
This one was a rough one for sure 🥲 I'm also hyped for the DLCs, but act 3 of the main game has me very intrigued 👀
No letho in kaer morghen? Btw this battle is one of the best in terms of cinematic, gameplay and choreography
You have a lot of good friends in this game but Zoltan is somethingelse!!
It makes no difference with the Lodge. Their hubris knows no bounds. Yes, they are the only true answer to the problem but they are not very likeable. Yennefer doesn’t like the lodge either.
Witcher? Again? No sh!t? )
Uncle Vesimir 😞
I see people says soon and it's good because i also felt that way, but then i thought after Sunday" there 18 quests ~ cannot be more than 20, yeah without counting I can atleast mark 20+ quests, which is not a spoiler
I don't want to be pessimistic but there's no way Witcher 4 will even come close to what Witcher 3 is to us
I just hope they don't pull the golfclub treatment on Geralt.
@Watcherobot I understood that reference!
"My voice is so wavery at the moment - I'm sorry .."
There's no blame.
Just grief
I'm not sure you understand the overall structure of the games ....
Essentially, you can play ANY of the DLCs right now, as part of the story ... and go back to the main story or any of the other ones - and the game knows!
For example;
There's a minor character in the utterly brilliant "Hearts of Stone" that asks Geralt what happened to Vesemir ...
Geralt only has bad news.
HOWEVER! - If you had somehow chosen to do Hearts of Stone before the Battle of Kaer Morhen,
Geralt has different, much nicer dialogue to give to this character
It's all mashed together, and you can switch between them as much as you like
But I know you like to keep things tidy!
So - only do New Game + (if you must) ... after completing the WHOLE GAME; which is the base game, Hearts of Stone + Blood and Wine combined
I did New Game+ as my second playthrough - it was boring ... I won ever battle easily - like a procession; tidied up some missing side-quests though ...
But my third playthrough - I simply started from scratch and loved it all over again ...
Just a bit more trauma.
If Keira hadn't been there, Lambert would have also died.
Game + please
Something in the soul dies, something new is born in it. The wheel of life. This game is the closest imitation of our life, of all I know, although (paradoxically) based on a story far distant from it. But such are the principles of good stories, they are timeless, extra-dimensional. Your play of W3WH is not fun to watch. "Fun" just sounds to petty...
Out of curiosity, what word/s would you use instead of "fun" 🤔
@@nyxandchill 🤔I'm not sure if I haven't written this before, that watching your videos is like watching myself in the wild. That is to say, the feeling of similarity and familiarity will prevail here. And that is very comforting. Hence I love to watch your stuff so much. Looking for focus in chaos, darkness in light, light in darkness, sunset in the east and "Jeff Glodblum in the fly"....
didnt interect with the pyre to pay respects... smh unsub, disliked... jk but you forgot i think, also good choices so far, choices from here impact the ending.
I didn't even realise that was an option, I feel awful 😭🤦🏻♀️
👋👋👏👏🙌🙌🌟🌟⭐⭐🌠🌠🌠🌠
1. Where is Letho.
2. English dub sucks
I've always felt that Vesemir had the most dignified death that a witcher could ask for. He knew he had to essentially sacrifice himself to ensure Ciri didn't give in to the hunt's demands. 🥲
Yeah exactly. He had a death that had real meaning, how many can say that. Most Witchers simply die fighting a monster, just drowners and ghouls.
I completely agree. The norm is by a contract. Vesemir went out on his own terms and for a good cause 😭
Yesss MOARRR PAINNNN😈🫠
"You don't know how it is, to see someone you love, die because of you, for you" always gut punch me😭
Also Lambert could've died if you didnt sent keira to Kaer Morhen. You could still save him tho. Just have to hurry.
