That waist issue is very noticeable, I'm so torn on this whole line.
I'm not happy with the waist...its just terrible
My biggest complaint about the S7 line is still the shiny look they have. Other than that I think he looks good.
I was just thinking to myself how shiny he is, and wondering if I could just wash him, then give him a coat of matte finish clear coat spray. That would give the figure a nice flat finish. Just don't know how durable the spray finish would be.
@@LastBastian I've seen posts about doing exactly that on IG. Seems to work pretty well.
I think I’m going to cancel my preorder from BBTS on this one. He looks okay for the most part but that ball joint waist is too unsightly for me, I know I wouldn’t use it very often because of that.
Yeah, I was just focused on that during the whole video. It looks like a honey baked ham rolling around in a wok.
That’s a really weird reason to cancel it..
It’s almost completely hidden, and it don’t break up the sculpt...
@@retrorampage9015 I disagree, it’s massively visible. The bottom half looks completely disjointed from the rest of the body. It’s great if you like it but I can’t justify the cash on this one, I already cancelled.
It's true. For the price of the figure it should have better finishes.

definitely not what was advertised, I think I would have preferred no ball joint so the waist doesn't have a gap
I think the ball joint is a good idea they just did a very bad job. It shouldn't have gotten past QC
They need to redo all the figures with better less flimsy hips. All the turtles feel like they are gonna break.
That waist is unsightly. And his mask top is rounded unlike the playmates one that wasn't. Idk. May have to take a l on this figure. Get em later for cheaper.
I was thinking of getting him cuz i doubt NECA is going to rerelease toon Casey anytime soon. Although that waist joint and lack of paint apps kinda is making me reconsider. Plus as you put, that belly button is unnecessary. I dunno, I'm torn on him. He was my favorite of the OG Playmates line 😬

got mine today. I like it a lot for the most part but the one thing I hate is the waist. there is way to much space between his stomach and waist band. it looks pretty bad. it took it from a 10 to a 7 for me. I still do like it overall though and Happy to have it.

Great analysis. The space between the waist and the pants scares me. It is very bad that he does not have a joint in his torso. All this in the context of the price of the figure.
As much as I love the look, the entire waist issue going on is what kept me from buying this guy. I had it in hand before I put him back and settled for something else.

I was worried too, but it looks way better in person! His lights are super bright, making the plastic look glossier than it actually is.
Great video the vintage figure is the one that made me truly understand that companies reuse parts and similar molds since this one and oddly enough Dick Tracy had many similarities lol
Cool can’t wait to get mine. Wasn’t gonna get due to the price but this was my first Casey jones in the late 80s - early 90s. I had all the classic turtles and slash, Casey and that sting ray were my favorites.
Super7 has a good idea on what they’re doing but it’s like they’re half assin it
I don't think the weapons are supposed to be warped like that by design. Probably need heating up and straightening.
The lack of articulation made go from wanting this badly to not giving 2 shits.

Thank god super7 fixed the color on his shirt, they showed this figure off in a video last year and the color was way off. Super excited to get mine
They missed out by not making one of the pockets on the golf bag so that you could put the 3 pucks in. It would have also made the golf bag lighter if that pocket on the side was not solid and instead hollow and u can snug the pucks in it
Thank you for all of your recent TMNT Super 7 reviews, you just saved me money. I had this wave all pre ordered, and I canceled them all. These are just not worth the money.

I like how he has better articulation at the waist but that gap is hideous...
They should have kept the waist pivot and done the ball where his cutoff shirt met his abs
They skipped on sculpting armpit hair.vintage figure had it 😄
It’s actually on there, but they didn’t paint it to bring the sculpt work out.

How is everybody impressed with this? A rather big head that's virtually locked in place, the waist is a hard fail, the legs swing out to the side instead of forward, useless ankles, very stiff joints which you know will break because it's a S7 figure... All this for full price no less...

Absolutely. Objectively it's a very bad figure. I definitely had this figure among so many as a kid, but I'm just into the cartoon accurate figures, but totally see the nostalgic appeal for some. So just going by only that, I can see why someone would like this (not well done & cheap looking) figure.
@@Chalor. If it was just this figure that was bad, I'd be more forgiving about it. But it's not. 90% of their stuff is overpriced, ugly and breakable.
I understand nostalgia, I really want me some Thundercats, but not like this. So no Thundercats on my shelf until the license goes somewhere else. I refuse to pay 1 cent for these abismal pieces of shiny plastic junk from a Company that's clearly not trustworthy. I just don't understand People are so,... desperate , I guess, to spend their hard-earned money on this.
Toybro is a joke as a toy reviewer, specially when talking about Super7 figures. He says that figures like DST LOTR line (~25$ each) are mediocre and then he is a sucker for this trash figures which cost more than the double. He isn't reliable anymore since Super7 pays him.

I only grabbed Donnie from this wave, and kinda wish I would have grabbed this guy. Figured he was an easy skip due to how poorly Shredder came out. I do think he looks awfully slight, and his paint doesn't seem very "ultimate". No wash or shading or really anything on his clothing.
I seen your foot soldiers a couple months back, I was impressed. You had like 8 . I have 2 but I pre’d 2 more @ EEarth. Just because theirs were $44. Definitely one of my favorite versions of the foot soldier. Casey’s dope hut I prefered necas movie version. One with Ralph. Green set.

Great review! I wanted him bad. The pictures of him looked great but he’s honestly a let down to me. That really sucks cause I was so excited to get this guy. Can’t justify paying this price for just an ok figure! I hope NECA does a vintage version at some point. He’ll be cheaper and probably nicer to look at

Ugh... don't really care for Super 7, but preordered only because I couldn't get ahold of the Neca version. Kinda feeling buyers remorse. S7 quality never matches their price.

That waist is trash. They just need to do the torso cut. Mythic legions are far from impressive. Don't get the rave for them from people. If you ever been to the fb group them guys are straight yahoo over them damn things lol. The construction is so simple and the plastic is so heavy. I just don't get it. Anyway, I been waiting for this figure to come out and I'm upset. I'm not a fan of this at all.

The BIGGEST reason I won't collect this line is because of the single joints.
They look so amazing with a ton of accessories.
Im a big geek but i find it sad funny when collecters whine over articulation. You playing with em guys? Stop that. I got 13 of these super 7s. All great. But i also still have potential to have sex with a girl. Not even paying!
