I had to autodidact when we started using Zoom for our online classes back in 2016. I learnt the hard way, but I'm glad it happened that way. You guys don't have to sweat for TTV has got you covered. Thanks for sharing.
The new feature to share into breakout rooms opens new possibilities. SO for example yesterday to revise gerunds and infinitives I created a number of unfinished sentences, for example "The doctor told me to stop..." I put each sentence on a separate slide in PowerPoint. I then put SS into breakout rooms in groups, with the instructions that they needed to finish each sentence in their group. They needed to nominate a writer. Then I screenshared the Powerpoint one slide at a time, so that they had about 30-40 seconds to complete each sentence together. On return the groups shared their sentences and got one point each for each correct sentence, and a bonus point for each original sentence (ie that was different from the others). They said they found it quite exciting and motivating.

One thing, you said that you can't shift between programs when screen sharing. I have duel screens, so one will have my zoom meeting on it, and the other will show what I am screen sharing. I have found that when I am screen sharing with the duel screen, I can switch between, say, a tab on Chrome and a Word document or PowerPoint slide, without going in and our of screen sharing. Is it just because I am using duel screens that I can do that? Thanks again.
Karen that is honestly above me as I don't use dual screens. I guess you must have the option to share one screen or the other but I am not honestly sure how it works. Sorry I can't help.

You can try enabling the “Share to breakout rooms” feature by going to Zoom’s web portal under Settings > In Meeting (Advanced) and toggling it on. If you don’t see the option, ensure your Zoom client is fully updated and check if your account plan supports it, as it may not be available on all plans. If it's still missing, contact Zoom support for further assistance.
Wow...I tried this feature today. In a "test-run" before my class with my daughter, it worked--and with her using her phone. BUT...in a student group of 9, I sent everyone to 4 break out rooms and only 3 people total could see the shared screen. Total mystery. It was a simple Google doc, so no fancy bells and whistles or video. I sent Zoom folks feedback about this, but don't know if they will respond.
The students might not have had the new plug in. Zoom normally asks them to update their plugin when they log in. They need the latest plugin for this to work.

Not really, you would need to share the links with the students before they move into the breakout rooms and then they would need to screen share that content when they are in the breakout room.
Well you won't lose the file but once you go into the break out rooms, you can't share into the breakout rooms. You can only share in the breakout rooms by staying in the main room and sharing your screen.

Bottom line you can’t use the soud in a breakout rooms ? Even when it’s optimized ?
Actually, you can use sound in breakout rooms if you select "Share Sound" and optimize for video when sharing your screen.

Well yes, you could you would need to have them set as co hosts and they would have to screen share when in their breakout rooms.
