I had the exact same issues at the same point! After watching ur video, I removed the same thing in the rubber tube by a hanger. I am waiting a rainy day to check it up! I hope it will be fixed ;) Thank you so much for ur video!!
Hello. I clean and condition the seal between the roof top and windshield. Also I oiled/grease the roof locks, but now it seems that it’s not locking correctly. Before it was fine. I had to clean my channels, because a little water will drip. It was clog. I would appreciate your advice and help. Love your channel. Mercedes
Here I am too, same exact problem, same spot, only the colour changes 🤣. The only different thing I've noticed is that water collects (and not a little either) somewhere in the roof and when I brake hard I literally get a bucket of water on me, wetting the armrest and steering wheel. Sometimes even after 4 or 5 hard braking it continues to drip heavily. I hardly leave it in the rain and when I wash it I carefully avoid wetting the roof on the left side. Now I'll try over the weekend to do all these checks... fingers crossed!
I am uploading a new video right now showing another fix. The leak started again on my wife's car, hope 1 of them help and you can get it fixed! Yes it is ANNOYING!!!
I have had my 2012 350 SLK for at least 10 yrs and it started leaking 8 yrs ago. I took it to Mercedes many times and they could not fix it. They said buy a new car. I am a 68 yr old lady and I want to try what you did in this video. What was the name of the product you cleaned it with and did you just clean it all along the tubing? Finally what was that greaser called and I assume you did the same process as the cleaning. Thx, Terri
Hi! I have the same problem, leaking on driver side in heavy rain, when the car is standing still I'll try it on this week and come back with results :) Thank you!
my pal has an E Class 350 can I ask where the little tube came from? was it where the pillar meets the bonnet or was it nearer the bottom sills? a garage has quoted him £600 for replacement of the roof sills, I hope I can give him a nice surprise? thanks, great video 😉
I have the same exact problem with my SLK. I have tried the Mercedes recommended rubber lube but that didn't work. I will try your cream... on the car of course.
@@maintainersgarage Already ordered through Amazon, let's hope it does the trick. This has kept me from daily driving the SLK. It needs a life outside the garage.
@@premium2554 It seemed to have worked on one side of the car but not the other. The driver side was dry after a major rain by the passenger side had a leak somewhere along the seal and foot well got wet.
Hello!!! I got that problem on my car I got the glyde but what's the green liquid in the bottle I can hear it's a 50% water and the rest? And how often do you re apply the lube? Thanks
I'm going to try this on my hardtop but I fear the rubber has degraded and there's no longer a good seal. It only started leaking after two weeks of very cold weather and the whole car was encased in two inches of frost, so I think that's just shrunk the rubber.
So the fix is lubing the seals? I don't see how that is a lasting fix because it must be excess lube residue stopping water getting in. In other words, the seals don't seal, the lube does. Anyway, thanks. Seems like they all have the same problem.

Simple green or any soap is ok for cleaning. NAPA sil-glyde is the grease i used. Also, i made another video adjusting the roof arms to fix the leak

Not sure what green liquid is, should be whatever it's made up of. I reapply every year
I got oil leak on the roof and now my convertible won’t work any idea what can cause that?
Sounds like the actuators near the back on the sides of the roof
