Thank you Ram for handling this the way you did! This type of customer service doesn't go unnoticed. 💚 Thank you Ben for clarifying why the video seemed all negative towards the TRX.💚
The transmission wasn’t “done for” when the line ruptured. Yes, the case is highly pressurized and will drain quickly, but what ruined it was driving it on the interstate to the dealership to get it “fixed”. You’re lucky the gears didn’t seize up on the road. The “weird stuff” that was happening was the truck begging you to stop. The original lubrication line rupture is totally covered under warranty and FCA would have gotten you taken care of and reimbursed for any tow or services needed, regardless of whether it was caused by paddle shifters, rocks, or aliens. You camp out with the truck if you’re really that worried. The self-inflicted melting of the transmission would have left 99.99% of people with a huge bill or a pretty driveway ornament. I like your videos as they helped me find a new vehicle, but driving any vehicle with a confirmed leak (even if you don’t know from where) was incredibly unwise. Your viewers should be certain to never replicate what you did, because they’d be stuck with a bill instead. Not the time to try to justify your response.
@@freedomisntfree_44 I rather a line blow out than a transmission being replaced. The ford 10-speeds are blowing up with under 5,000 miles on the F150 trucks. But this guy was just an idiot to continue to drive it while its leaking fluid.
Bob, how ignorant can you really be? The check engine light came on and nearly instantly the vehicle was shutting down. It wasn't a pinhole leak in a gasket. It was a service line that broke spewing the fluid from the trans cooler back to the transmission as fast as it could feed the atmosphere. Go back to sipp'n the Blue Ribbon on your grannies couch while watching TMZ, dude.
When the check light comes on is one thing, usually a lot of generic, simple things will throw it, but when the vehicle starts pissing itself with internal liquids, now that is a moment when you know, DON'T MOVE, get a tow truck!
@@tommyb6611 genius... i’m sure that you would’ve realized that in 1/3 of a second because you’re such a superhero. Maybe you should be a professional Barnhart racer. Have you ever been off throating at all? You must have skills to react to something like that while doing 40 to 50 miles an hour off-road in a split second. Genius
Seriously. Im sure he knows deep down that he ruined it after driving it without fluid. Hes just lucky that hes getting it replaced even when he posts a video youtube of exactly what he did to break the transmission. LOL
Funny Bc the knuckle on my drive shaft on my 2020 ram rebel broke in the snow a few weeks ago. And I had to fight w ram and the dealership I took it to to get it repaired under warranty!! And this guy gets the whole tranny replace!
I cringed to see him drive all the way back to the dealership. I've got to believe there's more than one tow truck operator in the area, tow truck drivers are motivated by money, an extra $100 would have had someone there that day
I thought the same thing. He even had a buddy with a tow strap that could have pulled him out of there. Most new vehicles come with road side assistance.
I agree if it was a regular customer they wouldn't gotten that treatment at all i know I had an issue with my 2020 Limited and I wasn't even given a loaner vehicle i wasn't treated like he was and I too spent 75k on a truck
Seeing you have a UA-cam channel and test vehicles, of course they will send a rep. I was never a big Dodge fan, but the TRX got my attention. After this, I was reminded why I’m not a dodge guy.
One of the main reasons, U had a great customer service, from the dealership, and Ram, you are a walking advertisement for them. They better take care of you. Lol
I guess I’m one of those fools...but they did manage to get the trans replaced (brand new Jeep, 117 miles) in 29 days....1 day shy of acting on the lemon law.
But how many non youtubers are purchasing 100k trucks? There’s only so many on the roads right now so if one breaks down it really wouldn’t be that hard for Ram to track it down.
@@mustang9549 question is how many ppl buy Ram brand trucks thats equals to more than 100k? They should be the same way to ppl that buy Tradesman or bighorn, and a non UA-camr.
@@emjai6401 dealerships I've dealt with have treated me no different then they treated him. It all depends on the dealership, granted there are a lot of crap dealerships.
@@krugy562 yeah I feel like thats more accurate, sure they saw the video, but I dont think it'd matter who, if the dealer told them a trx broke down a rep would be there the next day no matter who, they dont want bad pr on a 90 thousand dollar truck😂
They took care of you because you spent $100,000 on a truck and it’s a brand new truck so they wanna try and figure out what’s wrong with it because I don’t wanna have to put a $5000 transmission and every TRX
They did it because he makes videos on all this. So better PR for them. If it were an average joe they probably wouldn't give a shit or it would take weeks
@@arizonacolour8793 bro my dad owns two rams; a 15 hd and a 20 hd. Both were bought brand new and both had issues. The 15 had issue after issue and every time they just put a bandaid and tried blaming everything on him. He would leave the truck for weeks at dealership and the loaner he got was a shitty van. Also he was paying a shit ton of money every time the truck broke down. The 20 ram was brought from a different dealership but it broke down a month after purchase. They also tried blaming it on my father. Smh
I agree , I have dealt with Chrysler after a new vehicle purchase and had nowhere near this type of service . Bought a 2013 Charger SRT8 Super bee . Engine blew out at about 1k miles, they sent a rep to investigate what happened. The dealership was trying to put blame on me and telling me the 6.4L was a 20k engine that I might have to pay for , I was without my car while it was getting repaired for almost 2 months while I was loaned a Dodge Avenger after arguing with them about needing a mode of transport smh
Im sorry that the transmission went out, and I'm glad it wasn't total loss. As for the rep from Ram. I think they will be going to dealership to dealership as they hear about problems with the T-Rex's.
I think its super odd how yours broke so fast doing barely nothing, when streetspeed717 jumped his like 20 feet and tore the hell out of it and it didn't die
Glad to hear RAM is going the extra mile to #1: take care of you and your problem , and #2: make sure it doesn’t happen to someone else in the future. I spent 35 years working in lumber yards as contractor sales, sales management, and customer service. RAM is punching all the right buttons. They are using this opportunity to troubleshoot a problem and are exceeding customer expectations.
Most manufacturer's send a rep out immediately for a catastrophic failure for a new product to see why it failed and how to fix it. Nothing special. Especially one as important as the TRX. Just saying don't think it's only Ram that does this. But glad it is getting fixed Ben.
Hope you get your TRX back quick. Like it or not your an influencer, and RAM knows you are an important ally for their TRX launch, so it makes sense that they are taking care of you. Keep up the great work. I love your videos.
The better outcome would've been for them to buy back your TRX and give you a new one to replace it with. That way they'd be able to take the whole truck in for research (rather than just take pictures) and you'd be able to test the new one on the same trail to see if you can replicate the problem. You're happy that you get a new one and they're happy that you're testing the vehicle for them. Win-win situation for both.
Average joe would be denied warranty for driving when service light was on. Fortunate for you they are going out of their way to accommodate. Traded in my 2010 2500 TRX in 2015 and happy to say it will be the last Ram I buy.
@@BenHardyCars Happy you are getting it fixed and the dealer didn't keep it three days and say "we cannot recreate the issue" ;-) Definitely added that to my list of things to check when mine arrives.
Hi!!! I’ve owned a ram since 2012 and only serviced it at the dealership! Nothing but positive experience (Ontario Chrysler at Dixie and 410) with only one service advisor ( Anthony!! My boi!) when my camshaft and lifters went they went above and beyond to help me out with towing and fixing the problem at a much lower cost than others have reported!! Much lower!! I’m driving now a 2019 new body ram and love it and have no plans on leaving ram or the dealership... so yeah a average shlep like me can get great service like you did!! All it’s takes is building a great relationship with the dealer and they will go to bat for you as opposed to someone who buys it and goes elsewhere for service and then when something bad happens they expect the red carpet treatment! JMO. Thanks
Even if a rock hit it, it’s inexcusable that a $100k off-road truck wouldn’t have the protection against that. Even if you were off-roading it hard, that’s what they advertise the truck is specifically built for.
To be fair, Stellantis wasn’t really helpful when ordering my 2021 Ram 1500 Limited EcoDiesel until I started to complain and ask questions as to why my truck was taking so long. Took 12 1/2 weeks, was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. Regardless, they took care of me in the end. They gave me a complimentary maintenance plan for 5 years / 50k miles and I took the truck on Friday. I absolutely love it. It’s my 3rd 5th Gen and Ram doesn’t disappoint. Coming from someone who has had Ford’s and Chevy’s. So yes, these people really do get special treatment, and is normal consumers usually suffer because of it. I just got lucky and no my way around the car industry.
YeAh this is getting rediculous with these things. Nothing Ben or ss717 did with that truck except the jump should’ve caused the thing to end up with a fried trans and awd. He’s done all that with the raptor including 4 jumps which the raptor fell from the same height but straight down. Raptor did the off-roading the drifting and the racing. The TRX was simply a bad idea. I’m a car guy not a fan boy. Fan boys will say there brand is good and have every excuse when a car does bad. A car guy lives every car slow or fast and respects quality history and capability. We look at does this car do what it’s born to do. To me the TRX got stuck in between. They should’ve detuned it and focused on extreme off-road or built it as a fast street truck. Instead they did both and it sucks at both for what it is. Also I have 2 hellcat motors torn down do bare block right now. Both blown at around 70k miles and were rebuild by Reputable shops.and now sit here both blown again around 150k miles . One with a twisted shattered rod with a fist sized hole in the block and the other with the worst spun bearings I’ve ever seen. I’m trying to get one good one out of 2. I love the out of the box performance. But everyone that knows these engines know the rods and bearings suck. I have yet to see one with 100k miles on it. So what’s gonna happen when you now stick that already stressed engine in something 2000lbs heavier meant to jump crawl and rev for long periods of time!?! If people except that when they buy them they are going to only last for under 100k miles and not be a awesome off-roader like it’s built to be then hell yeah they are great vehicles. Ss717 ain’t stupid. But he did expect the TRX to be in better shape after the jump especially since the raptor did it over and over. But after it was messed up he still just drove it like it was meant to be driven with bigger tires. There are plenty of cars and trucks out there doing that. Look at mudstang. That thing is like monster maxes little cousin the way it sounds. It’s a twin turbo mustang GT fat car that the guy put big bud tires and wheels and did paddle tires also and goes and rips and does hill climbing. Factory motor pushing probably 1000hp with huge tires and it ain’t blowing difs and trans. Point is it can take way way beyond what it came from the factory with and designed to do. The TRX was stock with tires and could t do anything it was designed to do. First the jump destroyed everything and that’s something it’s was supposed to do. And the driving around sliding and off-roading killed the trans and awd. Even mike admitted he was disappointed and that’s why he was getting rid of it. Nothing was usable or worth putting in another off road truck he and we knew that. 100k for a truck and it’s not what it’s supposed to be. The raptor focused on Baja style racing and off-road. They got rid off the v8 for the ecoboost for a reason. The ecoboost was way better in the Baja 1000. They didn’t care that it didn’t have a v8 and most customers didn’t either. They knew it did what it’s designed to do. The raptor has had more Chevy and dodge loyalists cross shop to ford than any vehicle I’ve ever seen. Me personally I wouldn’t buy either one. I would build my own truck for less and make it a street or off-road truck based off a coyote f150. That engine can make 1000hp all day. Problem solved for speed. But If I wanted to go fast I would buy a car to go fast. For the cost of the TRX you can buy a new mustang and a used raptor. You have your off road capable truck which you can tune to be faster than a TRX and you are already better off-road. And mustangs well we know what they can do. People are pushing 1000hp out of a stock coyote all day and running 8s and 9s in the 1/4 mile like it’s nothing.
@@jeffveal1185 only one I’ve seen that blew a engine is stangmode. Which he was the only gt500 running the first company cams. Which is always iffy to be the first. A lot of them are running low 9s with his combo with stock trans stock lower end cams and heads. Rumor has it that’s what caused it. We all knew something was up with the cams because he was the only one with cams and he was struggling for high 9s when everyone else was running low 9s with the same few light mods. He also won’t answer any questions about the cams and if he is using them in the built motor. Them stick engines and transmissions are handling 1150-1200 wheel hp. That’s called over built when you have cars like the c8 trans and engine only able to handle 600crank hp. And hellcats needing a fully built engine to make that kind of power. They are running 7s with stock sealed coyotes and built 10speed. That’s crAzy to me. There are probably more 5-6-7-8-9 sec 1/4 mile mustangs in the planet then any other car. Demons with 100k into them only running the factory chassis and completely built motor and gm turbo 400 transmissions and tons of carbon are running high 8s. Problem is there isn’t much aftermarket for them and that’s mostly because it takes a built motor to run more power. But think of that all that money and only the chassis left and they are only close to a second faster than there factory claimed 9.6 1/4 mile. Gt500 which is a track car and can still take turns are already running high 8s a year after being released!!! And that’s stock DCT and stock sealed engine. Slap the track tires on and you can still do laps at road course blowing away most exotics. Think about it . A stock gt500 runs within a second of a $400k+ Ferrari f8 tributo and Lamborghini Huracan Evo. And that’s on a pretty twisty track. With more straights it’s gonna beat them. Add a tune it’s gonna win add e85 a tune exhaust pulley wheels and tires all for under 10k and they run9.6. With the palm beach cx1100 package the one that runs 9.1 possibly 8s . His plan is to set a benchmark by running high8s low 9s then swapping tires and doing some laps to show it can do both. And then have people take in the same challenge. That’s a challenge only the discontinued acr viper can do. I said before months ago before srt was pulled that they needed to put that hellcat in something smaller that can handle. I was hoping they would resurrect a light weight version of the viper shorten it and stick a hellcat in it. That’s what they needed was a good handling light weight car. But they also needed a major refresh done in the hellcat engine instead of just adding parts bin parts and calling it something else. We all know their flaws and me as a car guy was hoping they would take care of them with a new gen hellcat. But now we will never see that and it’s pretty obvious v8s are gonna be gone from dodge and they are gonna go European style and power. Or electric. And that totally sucks. I like all the v8s in there own way and as the Camaro leaves us and now probably the fun dodges we have mustangs and corvettes. Well we know the corvette is going electric soon. Most people don’t talk about it and I don’t know why. But the only video on my channel is when Biden was at GM and he was talking about his only corvette and how he can’t wait for the new 220mph electric corvette. So we have to enjoy the end of the muscle car wars and soon it will be down to the mustang and soon that will be gone. As much as I hate it people will be looking at combustion cars like we look at horses now. There fun to ride every now and then but not practical. They will have to peel my dead hands off my horse I guess lol
@@carculturenation2166 DUDE!!!! EASY!!!!! You talk as if every Mustang is a Top fuel dragster!!!! All most people want is a quick car that looks good and puts a smile on their face! your transmission would have been fine had you stopped driving and just towed it in the whole way. simple line break and top off fluid vs pumping the system dry and roasting the whole thing. but i'm right there with you, no way in hell i'd leave a 100k truck in the desert overnight. not saying this in a rude way, but maybe getting that transfer case into neutral and a tow strap (engine off) would have saved it.
Great video Ben 👍👍👍 I’m really proud of ram that there doing everything they can to get your truck fixed and on the road not to mention they gave you a 70,000 thousand dollar loaner also it would be cool to have a trx a new raptor and a new limited
Sorry to hear about the TRX but glad to hear that RAM is going to make it right. I was a longtime F150 owner and last year made the switch to RAM purchasing a 2020 2500 Big Horn and couldn’t be happier with the truck.
I just bought myself my first brand new 2021 RAM 1500 big horn in the night edition package and I'm absolutely in love! I've watched a lot of videos prior to my purchase and most of them were yours! Thanks for the great content! Keep it up! Also sorry to hear about your TRX, although I can't agree with the color, the truck itself is still a beast 💪
It’s still well within the warranty period so I sure hope they would take care of any trx owner. But I doubt they would give a 1500 limited as a loaner to anyone else🤣🤣
Not to be rude or anything but to me they wouldn't have hoped on it to fix it so quickly be cause your a normal customer because this is a very expensive truck if it was one of the lower trims of the ram they wouldn't have hoped on it and working on it right away plus your a youtuber they wouldn't want you talking bad about there truck with almost 100k subscribers
I just came back from blogging with other certified auto technicians being one my self, the TRX's are having a lot of issues and more than 30 TRX's are being defect going back to the shop for more repairs, we had just reviewed TRX failure in the Sterling Heights FCA factory for Stellantis, Ben you are probably one of many that are dealing with these factory defects. The factory had actually dropped one TRX on the factory floors and the truck flipped on the assembly line!!
@@carculturenation2166 With a few TSB's and most likely Stellantis will be forced to recall the first generation of TRX's and that would probably go for 3 to 4 years of production unless they discontinue the model completely. I believe the Sterling Heights facility are lacking knowledgeble staff and or the all new RAM is just a money making scheme compared to the previous model that was a better truck than the older reputation of RAM predecessor that was at the bottom of the list.
You're surprised that RAM immediately sent a "representative" to look into how your brand spanking new TRX blew up? ... are you serious or are you seriously dense?!! Obvious to anybody that understands PR, this is a nightmare for them and THEY HAVE NO CHOICE but to do something immediately. If the transmission line "came off on its own" the this shows that RAM has a serious QC problem, even on their high-end stuff, which they ought to be double-checking for the price they're charging. If it isn't a QC problem then it's AN EVEN BIGGER PROBLEM because this points to a mass-produced parts failure, which will mean (safety) RECALLS ... this is going to cost RAM lots and lots of money. It's amazing how many clueless clowns we have out there reviewing things that they don't know thing one about ... wow!!!
I’m extremely happy with my Ram 🐏 Almost 3 years of ownership and 45,000 miles bought it brand new not one problem bighorn blackout edition 5.7 hemi. Back brakes squeak like crazy when it’s cold backing up.
No, you get it towed!!! Dude, just wow. I can't believe you continued to drive it. I get it though, but know that from now on if there is liquid of any kind leaking out there is a very good chance damage will occur if you continue to drive the vehicle.
Next time "off road" on pavement and don't push the gas to hard to keep from breaking down. Please don't use the manual shift mode as it's only for looks and talking points.
I called it, Ben. Those high-pressure cooler lines on the 8HP95 trans are typically never an issue. But I'm willing to bet that no iteration of this trans has ever had the abuse of that a TRX can throw at it. For those not in the know, there are several versions of this ZF 8HP trans, from the low-duty 8HP70 up to the 8HP95 for high performance Hellcat models. They all have unique components, and the 95 has several cooler lines feeding fluid to keep it from grenading. Yes, this should've been caught in the QA/inspection process, but as Streetspeed, Tall Guy Reviews, and others have shown us, this is not widespread for the TRX(which also likely prompted the Ram rep to show up to the dealer. Ram needs to know where things need to be stored up). The trans will be fixed and you will be back to happy trucking.
Awesome! People are saying that it's because you're a youtuber, but I've also had very good experiences with Ram customer service. At least if it breaks, then I know they'll fix it. I haven't had any major issues. I currently have an 06 ram 1500 (Daimler) and an 18 ram 1500 (FCA). The 06 is rusty, transmission slips, engine runs like crap. The 18 doesn't have quite as many miles. The 06 has 253k, and the 18 has 46k, but I bought the 06 when it had 91k, and it was already rusting out on the rear bumper. The 18 still looks and drives like it just rolled off of the showroom floor.
My skeptical side suspects that most of us who don't have your platform might not get the same service or the quality of the loaner. But I do want to trade my older ram in on a new one so I hope this is the new standard.
Glad they gave you a Limited loaner. I'm finding that dealerships are finally starting to treat customers who spend a lot of money much better. My truck was $70k and when it went in for an EGR recall, I got a Mustang GT Premium convertible as a loaner. About 10 years ago, I brought my '08 Mustang GT/CS (It was the most expensive Mustang on the lot when I bought it, excluding the GT500's) in for service and got a base model Focus with crank windows as a loaner. I was not happy.
Probably not quite as good, considering he is a youtuber, but in my experience they do have amazing customer service. The PW is a great truck, pretty reliable too according to consumer reports. Enjoy!
The power has proven It's self over the years! The trx in it's first production year as expected is having too many issues. In a rush to hit the market quality control at the factory to spot problems was tossed aside considering the ultra cost. Ram no doubt is EMPARISED! They shot themselves in the foot so to speak! Ford is laughing but let's not forget they are not immune along with gm for serious blunders with their trucks too. Power wagon my choice ! By far cheaper , easier to drive on city streets small dimension then trx, less gas consumption, built to take on rough ground conditions. Hope you enjoy your power wagon !
Kudos to Ram for being on top of their customer service game... Love my Rebel! It has been perfect from day 1. I will admit viewing your videos before I purchased it. Most UA-camrs are not real influencers but you truly are....smart of them to pay attention.
So I’ll be getting my TRX in a few weeks and have been watching other UA-camrs, some of the issues have been non tightened lines, and more critically the bolts to the shocks and other suspension components, make sure the dealer checks those before you take it out, bolts have been cross threaded and even sheared off, the TRX forum has a list of reported issues, I’m like you it wont keep me from purchasing but I want the dealer to be aware of what owners are reporting. Thanks for your videos I am subscribing!!
Yes. I would have a dealer check the bolts, and lines, and pretty much everything before buying it. A lot of the issues with the truck, including this one just seem to be issues with the people not putting the truck together correctly.
I’m glad they were so responsive and reasonable. I ordered a TRX about a month ago to replace my 2018 Raptor, and admittedly, have become somewhat worried due some build quality videos that I have seen on UA-cam regarding the new TRXs (e.g., loose stabilizers, cross threaded and missing bolts, missing washer sprayer lines...).
Or when you have an automatic in manual mode and it redline some will upshift. My heart goes out to you and I've been in your shoes hope your compensated for your loss even being on UA-cam ram has to cover his loss it's in the warranty
That ZF transmission is a good transmission. I've had 2 Rams with that transmission and I have had no problems with it. I work at a Toyota dealership and they have problems with simple stuff like this too. They do the same thing and send a tech inspector out to research to prevent the problem from happening in the future. Thumbs up to RAM for following up with the problem. Good video man.
The gravity of the situation was the only reason there happen to be a ram rep waiting at the dealer. It’s all over social media. Ram wants to rectify the situation and make things right. Kudos to ram for trying. Still a shit truck.
Ram TRX is plagued with poor build issues it seems. Hoses loose, lines not tight, bolts missing or cross threaded in the suspension. Front diff breaking, the shocks blowing out. Look up TRX issues. Ram TRX quality control is lacking. I would tell your service manager you want a full inspection of the suspension. For Ram to sell the TRX without proper inspection is a no go. This has only occurred on the TRX though and not other Ram trucks. Hope they fix this issue because there's a 99% chance that line was not tight from the factory, and for them to send a rep out to take pictures shows they know their is quality control issues.
Stuff breaks. Ram has one of the Greatest Customer Service. Our Dodge dealer is the same way. Had an f150 from the same dealer name and very rude. Thank you for sharing.
Ford and GM both have class action suits ongoing over their transmissions. Ford even has a federal anti trust suit ongoing.. all of them have their issues. This transmissions would have lived if he had of stopped when the line blew instead of pumping it dry trying to drive it. Hydraulic lines blow even on brand new million dollar pieces of equipment. Not good, but it happens. Pumps and bearings don't live long without fluid no matter who made them.
@@doch5123 I've owned each brand over the years, only one I had a transmission fail was my dodge 3500. My ford and gmc have high mileage and never lost a transmission. Not saying people don't have problems but dodge has failed me multiple time on two different trucks. I will never buy a dodge or ram product again even if they have great customer service.
Its the zf 8 speed. Its more than a decent transmission, its one of the best out there. The zf 8 speed is not a transmission that is known for problems.
The reason Ram sent the rep snd are on it because they don’t want to loose sales! Your video got noticed by many customers so the manufacturer had to act! If not for the video and attention you got I’m not sure that they would of gone as far as that have..?? Glad to hear your getting your TRX back soon. Thanks for the videos and info !
I have subscribe to you for being a truthful person and not trying to sugarcoat things. I will like you videos and follow. I did like the ram now I want you to keep us informed about rams reliability and other stuff. Good job on the last videos.
I think it's great to be able to use your influence to get corporate attention on something that may lead to a recall or service bulletin for current owners, not to mention future engineering improvements. This is a plus for the community. And this is coming from a F150 owner who would probably not consider a Ram.
It’s unfortunate that happened. Despite all the haters they are as good a truck as any other. I’d love a review on that limited as that is on my short list of the next purchase.
I honestly think they gave you special treatment because of the channel and they knew that you had a platform that could possibly tarnish the brand if it were anyone else it would have been a different experience that said love the channel bro keep it up non-biased reviews for all three brands what more could I ask for
“I’m going to tell you my experience with my vehicle “ ......does that. “geez man you talk too much about yourself and your vehicle, stop doing what you say you’re going to do....”
The transmission didn't fail... The pressure line failed. At least be honest with your review. It's a rubber hose, and the truck would have been fine (still garbage it broke, and it shouldn't happen, obviously). The transmission is toast because you continued to drive it with no transmission fluid. Now, I get your reasoning, not wanting it left out in the desert for days, etc etc. We wouldn't be calling a blown radiator hose a "failed motor" (if you continued to drive it until it fried to motor from heat).
Ram understands after seeing your video this could possibly hurt its sales. Sending in a representative and having you to show how they care for customer satisfaction is a great move on their part. Smart. And also after watching what Street Speed 717 did to his...it was probably a WTF moment for them.
I’m a little surprised that the truck would even run without transmission fluid in it???? But great customer service means a lot too!!! Great update Ben! Thanks!👍 Ben I had seven new RAMS and I will have more in the future LOL They are the KING OF TRUCKS after all!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I didn't understand paddle shifters, because I have CHOSEN to buy manual transmissions. Have for years....my Tacoma is an automatic, but wish I had the manual!
Uhuh, sure. I know why that would be the case, i mean, the TRX is suppose to go against the Raptor, if it fails this much it's gonna be embarrassing so they have to try hard and fix it before they get completely fucked and eat their own words, oh well, pop the hood right Ram ?
Ben, c'mon bro. You can't believe they treat all of their customers like this...you got the royal treatment bro. I'm not mad about it either, that's the way the world works. They know that last video was a PR nightmare and all of us Raptor owners (probably Ford too) loved seeing RAM eat crow. I feel bad for you and I appreciate the competition that the TRX brings to the table; it puts the pressure on Ford to step up their game on the next ten Raptor. Good luck Ben! I enjoy your off-road video's
I was right!!! What is my Prize? As the same exact same thing happened to my 2015 Jeep that was a month old at the time. However, I am really surprised the TRX kept driving and shifting. My Transmission stopped shifting to protect itself.

Bad ass seeing RAM being reactive to address things. Sucks this is happening but they’ll get it sorted out. I’ve had some great experiences with the RAM dealership here locally which is what keeps bringing me back to the brand as well.
Hey Ben , Sorry to hear about the truck ! ! For what ever it's worth bud..you do a great job with your videos . I am a old car guy & must say very knowledgeable.... back in 2015 my wife and I purchased 2 new jeeps with the Z f transmission ,needless to say we both had issues that the dealer would try to fix ,now the problems are on different models , but almost the same problems . My wife was so uncomfortable driving the vehicle and dealer couldn't fix it due to module computer updates issues that she traded in-house for a trail hawk that the dealer made good on & lost a lot of money on it to make it right . Guess what ? 2 months later same issues again ! Very sad . .for a once great auto maker to have such poor quality and never fix the problems at hand boggles the mind ? As for my jeep . .well the transmission jumped 5 feet in park while starting . .had no choice but to take a loss and trade it in . A once good friend loved our jeep so much that she bought one too, even after we told her the problems we both had.. well she no longer contact's us anymore cause her jeep died on a major highway doing 70 MPh. ..the moral of the this information is please listen like I or the public listens to your knowledge . .Get rid of the Truck while you can ! ! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FIAT,RAM,JEEP PRO DUCT AGAIN . ....

But yet we get a lecture at the beginning on manual shifting as if he knows what he is talking about... 😂
A raptor would not have leaked in the first place.
👍 I couldn't have said it any better. Negligence is rarely covered, regardless of it being a new vehicle and under warranty.
@@freedomisntfree_44 no it wouldn't have leaked, the transmission would have just blown.

It lost Fluid, but You Kept Driving it! Most people stop driving a vehicle when the Check Engine Light is On.

JMO. Thanks
My ford dealership always gave me a F150 even a Raptor at times for all routine services I had on my 2013 Raptor. Ford simply rocks.
Even if a rock hit it, it’s inexcusable that a $100k off-road truck wouldn’t have the protection against that. Even if you were off-roading it hard, that’s what they advertise the truck is specifically built for.
Exactly, maybe its more of a mall cruiser. Lol
Average joe sure won’t get that treatment where I come from.
I'm going to mark it in the calendar when a TRX gets over 2k miles!!! Maybe it could become a new holiday!!! 🤣
@@carculturenation2166 What about GT500 blowing engines????
No, you get it towed!!! Dude, just wow. I can't believe you continued to drive it. I get it though, but know that from now on if there is liquid of any kind leaking out there is a very good chance damage will occur if you continue to drive the vehicle.
This is important, documenting ownership of the TRX
Glad to hear #Ram is taking care of the issue so promptly.

I think you would
@@BenHardyCars your delusional
Glad they gave you a Limited loaner. I'm finding that dealerships are finally starting to treat customers who spend a lot of money much better. My truck was $70k and when it went in for an EGR recall, I got a Mustang GT Premium convertible as a loaner. About 10 years ago, I brought my '08 Mustang GT/CS (It was the most expensive Mustang on the lot when I bought it, excluding the GT500's) in for service and got a base model Focus with crank windows as a loaner. I was not happy.
Waiting for my new PW to arrive. If this is truly what I can expect from Ram in terms of warranty/customer service you have me for life.
Probably not quite as good, considering he is a youtuber, but in my experience they do have amazing customer service. The PW is a great truck, pretty reliable too according to consumer reports. Enjoy!
@@gasolinediesel972 thanks, looking forward to it
The power has proven It's self over the years!
Don’t buy this shite. Wait for the redesigned tundra 2021-2022. Toyota quality
@@samanthajames9773 It's 2021, not 2020. The redesigned tundra will be a POS, just like the redesigned tacoma. You Toyota fanboys are funny lmfao.
"Won't keep me from purchasing it ..." = very, very low IQ
Who is deleting comments? Is it the poster of this thread or the owner of the channel?? I hate censorship
Stuff shouldnt break that quickly though, RAMs are trash.
Stuff breaks. And okay if that’s how you feel about Ram. Not into the Keyboard arguments.
YES! More in depth on the limited. I'm looking to get a limited
Scares me a mile away from a RAM - gearbox pipe broke - whats the pipe doing so unprotected?
6th gen and counting, maybe by 2050 they’ll figure out a decent transmission
It's German, made in Germany actually, those in regular Rams are made in US under license
How can you honestly say that with a vehicle that’s a brand new model and barely been out a month?
Ram is garbage bud lol😅
@@pillcosby3949 I’m talking about the brand not the truck specifically.
I honestly think they gave you special treatment because of the channel and they knew that you had a platform that could possibly tarnish the brand if it were anyone else it would have been a different experience that said love the channel bro keep it up non-biased reviews for all three brands what more could I ask for
Sorry about your RAM but just too much babbling on your videos.
100% agreed...way too much babbling.
buddy it's HIS youtube video. dont like it, you are welcome to skip. I liked how he is babbling lol
Yeah the fact that he drove it to the dealership made me want to slap him
Sounds like you’re just full of excuses
Ram understands after seeing your video this could possibly hurt its sales. Sending in a representative and having you to show how they care for customer satisfaction is a great move on their part. Smart.
And also after watching what Street Speed 717 did to his...it was probably a WTF moment for them.
I’m a little surprised that the truck would even run without transmission fluid in it???? But great customer service means a lot too!!! Great update Ben! Thanks!👍 Ben I had seven new RAMS and I will have more in the future LOL They are the KING OF TRUCKS after all!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great customer service is important with a dodge product. Fix It Again Tony
I am a co owner in a hauling company and I have 24 trucks and 24 people driving them on the road 5 5500 rams, 4 4500 rams, 6 ram 3500, 2 Chevy 6500, 2 Chevy 5500 for the driver that don’t like ram, then hear comes the big bois I have 3 frightliner 106 sports chassis with 9 litter Cummins, and my frightliner sportschassie 112 Detroit deisel and 30 40 foot big Tex trailers. I used to use ford but they had to many problems and when I was testing a guy I wanted in to hire for a truck to haul with we were in a Ford and it blew up. and caught on fire he sewed us and we sewed ford and I got 3 million dollars and paid him 2 million and he groped all the charges on me and I asked him Chevy or dodge and he took ram 5500 and is working hard we usually pay for gas but he said he would so with the 1 million dollars left I bought the frightliners

Happy everything is going to work out! Love the TRX content! Ordered a 21 Laramie last week thanks to educating myself from your videos - keep it up 👍
Good to see they are taking care of things. You can't hype a truck as much as they have and have these things happen.
This kid needs a reality check
Thanks for explaining automatic manuals to us folks with limited car knowledge Ben.
I didn't understand paddle shifters, because I have CHOSEN to buy manual transmissions. Have for years....my Tacoma is an automatic, but wish I had the manual!
Took my Raptor in for Cam Phasers 2 years ago and they gave me King Ranch Diesel while it was there. I was really happy and was unexpected.
RAM is tops when it comes to product support, period. I have owned products from “the big three” and had issues with each but only RAM came through.
Ram was my lemon
Because they have massive experience in dealing with broken crap.
Uhuh, sure. I know why that would be the case, i mean, the TRX is suppose to go against the Raptor, if it fails this much it's gonna be embarrassing so they have to try hard and fix it before they get completely fucked and eat their own words, oh well, pop the hood right Ram ?
It’s funny because “the big three” don’t even own the global truck market, Toyota does.
Ben your trx it's in good hands they taking good care of it you look good in this ram truck.
I was right!!! What is my Prize? As the same exact same thing happened to my 2015 Jeep that was a month old at the time. However, I am really surprised the TRX kept driving and shifting. My Transmission stopped shifting to protect itself.
So you didnt have the trans temp gauge up on the display?
Best video yet I love ram and dodge and couldn’t be more happy to hear this kind of feed back
They are experts when dealing with broken down cars and trucks. Because....... they always break. Lol
You’ll probably have your truck back before mine even shows up. Waiting game is testing my patience

! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FIAT,RAM,JEEP PRO DUCT AGAIN . ....
StreetSpeed717 jumps his over a creek and it lives, you drive yours on a dirt road with some puddles and rocks and it dies. Raptor takes the lead.
