Rule question: do you draw sanctuary cards on a turn if you already have clue tokens, or is it only when your duration number is higher than the previous one?
Hello! Hope this isn't too late. Here is how the rulebook phrases it: "All players who have played a card with an Exploration duration higher than the Region card they have previously played find a Sanctuary." Does that help? -Spencer
Hey I have a question, when you said yellow or blue regions, does that mean all yellow and blue regions count or must we choose one of the colors and only count those?
Rule question. If in phase one of round one I play a Region card with a Clue symbol at the top of it, do I get to draw and play one sanctuary card in phase 2 of round one?
Hi there! If I understand your question, the answer is no, you cannot. According to the rulebook, in Phase 2, "All players who have played a card with an Exploration duration higher than the Region card they have previously played find a Sanctuary. So, since you don't have a card "previously played" in round one, no one can get a sanctuary. The rules say, "On the first round of the game, as no one has a Region card in play, no one can gain a Sanctuary." Does that answer your question? -Spencer
Can anyone explain to me why this is a fun game? I like the theme and the material is very nice, however I don't see any player interaction? I imagine playing this solo or with 3 others would give me pretty much the same experience?
It’s fun because it’s a game. Games are fun. Not all games have player interaction and may be more focused on who can utilize their resources in the most efficient way. Winning these types of games makes you feel smart. If you prefer feeling smart by messing with the other players, that’s also fine. Both ways are fun. Games are as fun as you make them, so if you approach them trying to have fun and with a positive attitude, you probably will.
@ That it is a game is not a guarantee for something to be fun. I have played loads of board games that weren’t. As someone who spends quite a lot of times around board games my own joy mostly comes from the collaboration, or interaction between the players. This seems to have none or at least very little. That is why I’m asking. Playing this game with four, would seem more like four people playing their individual game instead of something together. At least to me.
It's important that you've found the winning formula for what type of games peak your interest! While Faraway has high praise, it may not scratch the itch you're looking for in a game and that's totally valid. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant video. Very clear, concise and quick, without feeling rushed. A very well produced video

I clicked this because I thought you were Tom Segura.
Faraway taught to you by Tom's distant cousin, Tim Segunda.
Gross
I still don't understand how to play this or how to explain this to my daughters
It might be well to read the rule book then
We're always happy to answer any questions!
Love the way you bend the cards when you shuffle them. 🙃
Spencer loves a good riffle shuffle 😅
Great job on the tutorial. Quick and clear.

By the way, what are the 6 dice for? 🥹
Which 6 dice are you referring to?
