I've been playing/learning a lot of heavier games recently. Watching this video was an absolute joy. Rodney, you bring such good energy and joy to gaming. I feel like most videos, I would just skip around for easy rules but I watched this whole thing and it just made my day ❤ I hope you love what you do as much as I love what you do.
Picked this up on a whim, because the art and theme were just fantastic. Imagine my joy when I discovered there's a watch it played video for it!! Thanks Rodney, your work is very much appreciated.
Rodney! I'm bummed that this video came out after I had already learned how to play the game. But! I still watched your video to get your viewership quota up.
Thanks again for this nice and clean explanation of the game. As always we startet playing and everything worked fine 👌. Just keep going and stay as you are with your sympathic manner! Best wishes from germany :-)
OH YAAAAAY! This is one of my most anticipated games this year! I got Ben hooked on Pokemon when we were first married, and I think we're going to love this! I am always so excited when you teach a game on my wishlist!
Awesome game, love to play it on BGA! Can’t wait for my physical copy. Thanks again for another great rule teach (even though I already know it), it is always a joy!
Amazing as usual :) I did a rules + review a couple weeks back and looking at your video I feel like I should burn my rules teach. Can't believe how good your work is. Kudos!
We just got this one in after a long time waiting. :) I really like the easy-to-follow gameplay video. I think I have a pretty good idea now of how to play it. I enjoy when a game has simple rules that are easy to remember, but there's a lot of strategy involved to...well...strategize over during the game! :)
Hi Rodney! This is the fifth game I bought because I saw you had a tutorial for it. I make it an express personal rule that if you (or other favorite BG reviewers/explainers) don't have a video for it, I should reconsider getting the game. I often don't have a lot of spoons/energy to do all the stuff I want for the day and learning a game--as opposed to playing it--takes a separate mental space for me. With your videos and excellent explanations on how the games operate, I can learn the game in half the time! Also, some rulebooks tend to be messy when it comes to explaining their own game, so it helps if there's a human component to the study as well! I'm so glad I encountered you and others like yourself both online and in person. You're a great guy and I hope you have a happy and unproblematic life.
This isn't just a very nice comment on how you use the work, but a kind expression of support. Thanks Vexing Lex, it truly means a lot to know that you've found the videos helpful, and that they can be helpful in supporting your enjoyment of the hobby. If you're wondering what motivates me... this is it - thank you!
That feeling when Rodney made a video of the game you just bought 🎉 But there’s a downside… That feeling when there’s no video for that game with the horrible rulebook you just bought 😱
@WatchItPlayed I know this is a bit late, but I have a question regarding the rules of summoning multiple cards in the same turn. You obviously don't get change back, but say you want to summon two cards that add up to the cost of one of your stones, then can you do it? For example say all you have is a 6 value stone, then can you summon both a 2 cost and a 4 cost card? Had a bit of a disagreement when trying to play our first game and couldn't get a definitive answer from the rules. Thanks
@@robbiecatling8823 Don’t forget, the action to summon a card, a,lows you to summon 1 card. You can summon another card with a separate action, but it would be a separate action, requiring its own payment. So in the example you give above, you’d pay for your first card with the 6 value stone, which would return that stone to the supply, meaning you don’t have it when you go to start your new action to summon the second card. Hope that helps!
@@WatchItPlayed Great, thank you, that explains it perfectly. I was trying the game out in a board game cafe with some friends and we had this disagreement. I was pretty sure that what you said was the case but was outvoted so we played with different rules. I want to buy the game though so wanted to get clarification. Appreciate your help.
A card that let's you recover another card, can recover a card of any type, as I recall. I don't recall any restrictions (unless the card effect says so).
Hello thanks for the video it explains a lot i have only one question. how much tou have to spend to summon a card with no cost on it like imp or hestia ? You just play them for free?
Why does what have a +60? Sorry, I shot this long enough ago, I don't' recall what component you might be referring to. But yes, you could have more than 1 player cross 60 points by the end of the final round, so that's likely why.
As one of the first rules explainers I found on UA-cam years ago, you are Master of your Craft. Always enough depth, but never excessively lengthy.
Very very kind of you to say - thanks for being with us all this time!
Of course. You and some others basically got me into the nerdy side of board games.@@WatchItPlayed
totally agreed!
Rodney is the master. Without peer.
It’s just not possible to teach game games better than this guy. Period. Kudos to you
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement!

I hope you have a great time playing. Recently played this on a plane. It was a tight fit, but we made it work!

Thank you kindly - greetings back from Canada!
perfect, got my copy the other day and plan to play it this week. Thanks for the vid!
Have a fantastic time playing!

I watch this for great rules explanations and similarly great box flips

Excited for this to come to UK. Hoping it's out before Airecon, so I can play it there 🤞
I know I'll be packing a copy to play with people there :)
Played yesterday in three persons. Interesting game and will be bought probably :-)
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are such a lovely person Rodney!
Thanks for the kind words!
Great video! Looks like a fun one!
I think you and Leandra might enjoy it!
This looks like a fun game. I'll have to check it out.
Thanks for checking out the video, hope you get a chance to play the game!
I enjoy this game a lot!
Very glad you've been having fun with it too!
Merci Rod!

Can you pleaaase do an explanation of The Lost Ruins of Arnak ??? 🥺
Thanks for the interest! I talk a bit about that here: ua-cam.com/video/EdtDuvIUa6A/v-deo.html&t=342
Hi! Did you have a video for Star Wars Unlimited recently? Can't find it and want to share it with a friend 😅
Going back up today (I wanted to clarify something from the original).
Hi Rodney! Can I use a card with an active effect to recover a card with an immediate effect?
A card that let's you recover another card, can recover a card of any type, as I recall. I don't recall any restrictions (unless the card effect says so).
Hello thanks for the video it explains a lot i have only one question. how much tou have to spend to summon a card with no cost on it like imp or hestia ? You just play them for free?
They have no cost, so they are free to play (just remember, they still take up one of the slots in your area).
Do you remove your summoned cards when the next round starts? Or are they still available at the start of the next round?
The only way to remove a summoned card is with the Remove A Card action you'll find described in the video - hope that helps!
@@WatchItPlayed Yes it did. Thanks a lot!
Do you have to execute every end of round effect? For example, if a card says to discard a token to earn points, do you have to do it?
Sure do! ua-cam.com/video/8qplrjK8ASY/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared&t=749
Have you ever dropped the box while flipping it?
*gasp* that's possible?
Is it possible to have an Enternity card list. I'm doubting that my box is missing because there's only 10 Dragon cards (purple)
Sorry, I don’t have the free time to give you an entire card list, but I can confirm: there are only 10 dragon cards.
@@WatchItPlayed wow thank you very much for your early reply. Hope you have a good day
I enjoy this game and spectacularly bad at it. I'm stuck building an engine while others are already scoring halfway.
Practice makes perfect - a great excuse to play some more :)

if you win at 60 why does it have a +60? is that just incase 2 players both cross 60 on the final round?

I tried to toss and successfully smashed the box😂
