“Qbert" is a classic arcade game that was first introduced by Gottlieb in the United States in October 1982 and later in Japan by Konami in 1983. The game involves controlling the main character, "Qbert”, who jumps around a pyramid of cubes, changing their colors while avoiding enemies. The stage is completed when all cubes have been colored.
The game was developed by Gottlieb, with Warren Davis handling the game design and programming, and David Thiel composing the music. It has been adapted for various platforms such as Atari 2600, Atari 5200, SG-1000, NES, Commodore 64, PC/AT compatible machines, MSX, and others.
The gameplay involves controlling Qbert and coloring all the blocks on a pyramid by jumping on them while avoiding enemies. Qbert can only move diagonally, and the game ends if he comes into contact with an enemy or falls off the pyramid. Some stages also have a float that takes you to the top.
The characters in the game include Q*bert, the protagonist, Coily the snake, Ugg and Wrongway the twin demons, and Slick and Sam, the green characters who change the color of the cubes they ride on.
