I really love and solo alone travelling
Shame on you for continuing one of the most ridiculous and inaccurate stereotypes about Naples. I have spent my entire life (and I am not young) going to Naples, much of the time alone as a single woman. I have NEVER felt unsafe there. In fact, I feel much safer walking alone there than I do in most other major, and some minor) cities of the World. Like ANYWHERE else, you should always pay attention to your surroundings and use your common sense. Naples is one of my favorite cities in the World!
Absolutely! I cannot believe how wrong this is. Naples IS NOT even close to being in the top 10 most dangerous cities in Europe. Also it isn't in the top 10 most violent cities in Europe! Lol, this is so ignorant and misleading. ALL tourists should be careful everywhere they go because they don't know the city. My goodness I'm shocked by how rude and wrong this is.
Here , here totally agree with you . The commentator said in this video she is originally from Sofia in Bulgaria , I m sure it’s a much more dangerous city for pickpockets than Naples.
Things that make a city dangerous:
- there's trash on the floor
- there are poor people
- there are people taking drugs in the back alley
- there are pickpockets
So yeah i agree, to perpetuate the stereotype is ignorant at best and purposefully misleading at worst.
She's probably one of those Bulgarian "ladies" that are commonly found walking the streets of Italian cities selling their "assets" for €30
Well,, She talked from tourist perspective. Of course its a different experience for everyone
I traveled to Naples in the summer of 2019, stayed 3 months. I am from France. I can say that Naples is the most beautiful city I have been to. People I met were genuine, friendly, loving and very helpful. I met people I am friends with until today and I will never forget. Refreshing to meet people who are actually kind from the heart and not just kind in your face. I should have gone back in 2020, but the pandemic put a stop to it, I will go back this summer. I hate when people describe the city as the most dangerous in Europe, I felt safer than I do in my own hometown.
Yes France is such an amazing country but the people find it so hard to be nice, why is that
Naples being the most dangerous city in Europe is just mainstream media bull***t. I'm from a village near Naples (I go to Naples all the time), and it's a very safe city (no different to anywhere else in Europe!). I have visited Naples both on my own and with my family - and I've always felt very safe!
Hope you enjoyed Naples - a beautiful city with so much to see and do, my favourite in the whole of Italy if not the whole of Europe! Next time you go there, I highly recommend going up the hill to Vomero (particularly if you are in the 18-26 age group like myself - lots of bars and nightclubs!), or walking in the Santa Lucia, Chiaia areas, or Mergellina areas, where, particularly on the sea promenade, you can get a lovely view of the Vesuvius, the Sorrento peninsula, and if you are lucky, some of the islands too. Around Santa Lucia you also get to see the lovely Castel dell'Ovo! And beautiful architecture in general, same thing goes with Vomero. In addition to bars and nightclubs, Vomero also has the Sant'Elmo castle, another lovely scenic spot, and there's also beautiful architecture!
I also highly recommend going to nearby towns, including Pozzuoli, Portici and Ercolano. Lovely places worth visiting.
P.S. Si, io parlo italiano madrelingua, io ho solo scritto in inglese per far capire il bello di Napoli al pubblico in tutto il mondo!
I felt way safer there than in my hometown in the UK. Plus you missed most castles, churches, historic palaces, museums, panoramic sites, waterfront chalets etc. Basically the reasons to see Naples 😁
Hey there, hope you still enjoyed the video! I have visited pretty much all these attractions in Naples the previous 2 times that I was there together with Ben. I tried making the video more focused on safety since I was there on my own
Where you from in the UK?
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon I am from Manchester but I’d say Birmingham and certain areas of London are also more dangerous than Naples for an average person walking around. They are certainly not as poor as the south of Italy but there are a lot of stabbings, drunkards, gangs and thieves unfortunately. My little brother got mugged last year 😬I just think that it would have been nice for you to make a video about the many beauties of Naples, like you did with Athens. After all we are talking about one of the oldest and historically richest cities in Europe. People in Naples were extremely friendly to me and it hurts a bit to see their city described like a safari zoo (don’t do this, don’t do that etc). Most of these tips are actually helpful in a lot of tourist places I’ve seen. Paris and Barcelona too.
I totally agree with you. I felt safer there than in some places in the UK. She only did this video to get more views! Very sad!
As Neapolitan, i can only Say thanks to you for your review, if i had told this i wouldn't be credible
Napoli is harmless. I've been 6 times and never once had a problem amongst the people. Napoletano's are actually really friendly. This issue of Naples being "Dangerous" is absolute rubbish! Naturally, if you go to a rough neighbourhood, your more likely to get mugged, but Naples has some beautiful areas, like Posillipo or Vomero, why don't you show these areas, instead Garibaldi?
'most dangerous', really? I'd feel more endangered in some suburbia in France or UK, or even in Milan, than in Naples.
Thanks for sharing ☺️ I felt a bit different but this might be just my opinion
I am solo in Naples and I don’t know why you say most dangerous city in Europe ! I love Naples it is amazing beautiful city and people are just make it more beautiful i loved every minute i spent in Naples.
I’m glad you’re enjoying your time in Naples!! 🥰
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Can we please stop with this “Naples is so dangerous” it is no more dangerous than any other city.
I’ve walked around the city countless times and never once felt unsafe. Quite the opposite. Plenty of women walk around Naples alone.
Have common sense and keep your wits about you, like you should in any place, and you will be fine xx
I really wanted to enjoy this video, but you were talking at times as if you were walking g around a war zone. You were walking around one of the friendliest, most welcoming places a person can visit.
You were right about Sorbillo, though. It truly is the best pizza in the world ❤️
Naples is wonderful.
I agree! I really liked Naples even though this was not very visible from the video 😅
If you go to, for example, New York City, you will find much more danger, thieves, drug addicteds, trash and dirt than you will ever find in Naples. However, nobody seems to care about it...what's your video trying to do?!
Exactly, or even San Francisco… which has huge problem with mentally ill homeless people and drug addicts
Oh my lord. I am in Naples right now and aside from pests at train stations (yes watch your bag) there have been no issues. Not only did I feel safe but in the early evening the lights and atmosphere was very family friendly. Watch your bags but you are generally free
Maybe just a bit sensationalist title and prejudicial about what you don't really know and didn't try to... travel is not about that at all!
Great video. Thanks for all the info. Would live to visit Naples one day😍🥰
Hey, hope you enjoyed the video 🥰 Naples is definitely worth visiting, There’re tons of things to do and also Eat!!
Obvious it suits your predjudice to watch and thank this moron ,dont go there, they are not going to miss you.probably a friend of hers or it's her, promoting herself.

Great video!
Well...."one of most dangerous city....maybe in the world" sounds like "Holliwood's style",ahahah. Actually, even London can be more dangerous than Naples hanging around in some hoods, and Paris too! But i know that giving a "special-effect" to our town is something very popular.
To be honest, all big cities have a "dangerous" neighbourhood. I didn't mean to offend Naples in any way, I still love the city :)
Try Manila or São Paulo. Naples is perfectly safe.
Hey James, thanks for sharing ☺️
Of course, there are more dangerous cities worldwide but I meant “the most dangerous” in Europe but that’s just based on my opinion
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon your opinion? Why did u have any safety problems in naples?
Naples...one of the most dangerous cities in the world?? WHAT LOL
Stop stereotyping Naples. It's a safe city like all the main cities of Europe. London/Paris/Milan etc. are also more dangerous of Naples. If giournalism don't do this psycological terrorism, Naples could be a very rich city with a lot of turists every year more than now, because have a lot of cool things, the 99.99% of people are SUPER great and welcoming, the 0.01 % of people are bad, like all the european cities... Naples is a looooot far away from city like Raqqa, south american ,just for have some example, today Italy have 0.6 kills every 100.000 people. The south american cities mentioned have like 40/80 kills every 100.000 people, and the giournalism put Naples in one of the most dangerous cities in the world... So false unfortunately...
Hey Alessio, to be honest I called it “dangerous” because that’s what the statistics and Info online says. As I mentioned in the video, I was was safe there on my own so I agree with you ☺️
To call Naples one of the most dangerous cities in the world is quite ignorant. I'm not going to disqualify your experience, but if Naples feels dangerous to you, then there are so many places in the world you should avoid.
Благодаря за съветите :), след 2 дни ще опитм от най-хубавата пица в Неапол!
Виждам че са минали точно 2 дни, как в пицата?? В коя пицария беше 😍
Maybe there were noone becouse was ealry morning? OMG Naples is full of women walking alone, in general Naples is empty of people but the shops start opening around 11 in the morning, the central station is not good area, but there are a lot of beautiful areas to stay in Naples like chiaia, decumani, lungomare, vomero
P.S.
Naples is more safe than Rome and Milan for tourists
Naples is not dangerous
Have you ever been too Naples? ☺️
As you can see, I was perfectly fine but it’s a bit of infamous city😅
She basically did a video about "Naples stereotypes", none of which happened to her. She could have just stayed home and googled "Naples stereotypes" and made the same video. Here's a UA-camr who went to Naples and actually contributed something by destroying stereotypes based on his experience: ua-cam.com/video/0_T5nDSLRw8/v-deo.html
@seven months Agreed, it's just mainstream media lies - Naples is, in my opinion, the best city in the whole of Italy!
i love how are the clothes hanging, so pretty!
It’s really picturesque 🤩
This is one of the worst videos ever seen about Napoli! Beware of this, beware of that, the garbage ... I think the approach is completely wrong. Of course we have problems like any big metropolis, but please, you were in Naples not Baghdad.Listen to me, next time you come to Naples, relax, talk to people, have fun.
Well, the thing is.. I do agree with you, I think my approach with this video was wrong and it doesn’t really present my experience in Naples. The truth is, I did enjoy it quite a lot!
Next time I’m Naples, will make a better video. Promise 😌
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon Sorry if I felt the need to comment, but it's only because too many people post videos showing the worst of Naples. Many believe that Naples is Gomorra! But I assure you that this is a reality that we Neapolitans despise. Anyway I'm glad you liked it! ;)
I am visiting Sofia this weekend - let's see if it's safer than Naples!
c'è un muro senza scritte o graffiti?
😅😅
I had no idea Naples is like this!! Ty for the tips about the narrow streets, and Sorbillo! 🍕 I was happy for you that you speak Italian. 😂
It really is, but that’s also the beauty of it 🥰 next time, when Ben is there we’ll definitely have some pizza
Imo best pizzeria in Naples is Di Matteo - just about 100-200m away from Sorbillo!
@@gabrielstravels-discoverin7368 totally! it was recomended to us by a local and we went back to eat there a few times during our stay :) best pizza ever!
@@TheMimsko seems like you had a great time! :)
6:45 lady on the scooter not wearing a helmet, classic Naples 😂
Helmet is for the weak😂❤️
You are dangerous with a videocamera or a phone in your hands. Many foreigners have a different thought.
Your breakfast looks delicious
It really was one of the best breakfasts🥰
I felt more unsafe in Brussels than in Napoli and even Sicily.
Where do u live? Maybe alone on a desert island. Naples isn't so different from other big cities in the world.
I live in Central London so definitely used to crowds 😅
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon U were like a lost child in a big city. London is more dangerous than Naples.
@@daitarn3lufra127 London is huge, so it really depends on which part of the city are you. About Naples well, I was kind of lost in the city but i just think that I gave the wrong twist to my video.. because I honestly liked Naples and my boyfriend is from Campania, so I really don't have negatives feelings about the city. If you watch any of my other videos, they're never negative or misleading as much as this one. Anyways, I guess I deserve all the negative comments on this one :D
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon I will watch other videos.
@@daitarn3lufra127 so you think centre of london is more dangerous than centre of naples?
Id love to go to naples. Partner has been and wasn't impressed so might never get there. All cities have bad points. All I hear about Paris is its full of pick pocketers yet I've been about 8 times and never been robbed.
Naples is a wonderful. It is probably the most exciting, authentic city in Europe and definitely the friendliest. If you live architecture and history, you will love Napoli.
Also, it’s no more dangerous than any other city. Have common sense and you will have a great time!!
I couldn’t continue watching your video with false informations regarding Naples. I never felt a sense of danger walking by myself in the streets of Napoli but also I wouldn’t walked at night time nor in non main streets. I have seen garbages in some places but not like you showed in your video, trashes every where! Just be aware that people like you showing the negative sides of this city could prevent them to come and to discover this vibrant, beautiful city.
Hey Evy, thanks for your feedback! Noted :)
Any Naples natives listening , if you could live anywhere in Naples and money wasn’t an issue , where would you live ?
Posillipo, no doubt
Thanks for sharing ☺️
@@lucacozzolino9862 thanks :)
but how would you say Posillipo compares to Vomero or to Chiaia ?
Posillipo-Marechiaro. Beautiful spacious villas with amazing views of the sea, and beach on your doorstep!
Napoli...............con tutte le sue facce, sempre nel cuore
Spero ti sia piaciuto il video, e non vedo l’ora di rivedervi l’anno prossimo ❤️
I recommend going to the places reviewed as most dangerous if you want extremely cheap and same quality food compared to the centre of naples. 2.50$ for full margherita pizzas in a lot of places.
Hey there, I totally agree with you and this goes literally for every city not just Naples. What’s your favorite pizza place in the city?
Are you kidding? The 3 best pizzerias in Naples port alba’. Sorbiillo and Brandi cost 4.50/5.00 eur for a Margherita.
This video is ridiculous.. napolitans are the most friendliest people in Italy. There’s crime in every city you go to.
Come on, i'm from Napoli and i live there, you Just have to follow the basic rules you would follow everywhere...."don't wear flashy" ahahah! Who cares how you are dressed. Of course, of you walk with a Rolex or with an expansive camera.....Just Watch out
You are exactly right. I Lived there for 4 years and most people dress way nicer walking down the street then the USA, there is no dressing down as she said lol.
wooow, the aperol spritz is so cheap over there
I knooow😍 i think it’s worth going just for that ❤️
Dangerous?! It looks like Paradise.
That was a lobster tail with Nutella not a sfogliatella. You are only showing part of the city, richer blocks like vomero or posillipo are much more tidy and most of south Italy is like that
Hey Stefano, yes sorry about the mistake on the lobster tail and about cities in the south, I know! My boyfriend is from Campania so I definitely don’t have any negative feelings about Naples as well
This video is full of stereotypes. The main purpose is only show the negative side. You did it with this purpose. I am disgusted
Ciao Roberto, that was really not the purpose of the video 😅 in the end of it, I also show other side of Naples. Not sure if you saw that, but anyways next time I’m in Naples, will make a better video I promise!
I know this one is full of stereotypes and quite negative, even though I quite like the city.
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon if it was not your purpose maybe you should start changing the title.
I would like to inform you that there is a service of the administration of the municipality of Naples where you can report those who offer false information and negative publicity about our city, just to let you know.
Naples is not dangerous. The only dangerous thing of Naples is driving. No rules applied and holes on the streets, so high risk of hitting or being hitted by somebody. A part from that, walking around the city is as safe as any other big city in Europe.
It is not called "sfogliatella with nutella", but "coda di aragosta"
Hey Claudio, really? I didn’t know that! Thanks for letting me know ☺️ do you know what’s the difference?
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon The filling of the sfogliatella is different and made of ricotta, semolina, sugar, milk and candied orange. It can be riccia or frolla. The filling of the coda di aragosta can be nutella, cream and strawberries or pastry cream. Honestly, I have to say that searching on Internet, I've found some recipes that call the second one "coda di aragosta sfogliatelle napoletane", but I think that in Campania we call them simply "code di aragosta". Or better according to my experience. I don't know that outside the region people call them in another way, but honestly I suppose not. I don't think they're as famous as sfogliatelle.
Anyhow, I preferred precise it for turists watching the video.
Troppo buono. Figurati se sa distinguere una sfogliatella da una coda di aragosta.
This is a very interesting and insightful video! I could never imagine Naples was like to this! I quite like traveling solo, there's a certain charm to it. I like exploring and discovering something new, talking to the people around me and going on guided tours, it's not everybody's cup of tea, so I can indulge in it when travelling alone, but it's mostly a thing of the past now. Well done for venturing into such controversial but interesting destination!
Oh, really? I’m glad we share the same feelings about traveling alone. I think it’s way easier to meet new people and talk to locals when you’re alone. Where have you traveled solo, my dear Irina?❤️
You will be fine in Napoli. It is a wonderful city. Plenty of solo travellers are there.
Like I said to someone else, it is no more dangerous than any other big city.
To go to Napoli is to visit one of the most exciting, friendly, welcoming, interesting and mysterious places in the world.
I keep going back because I adore it.
I like your safety tips actually, nothing wrong with them at all, no issues to be careful. Didn't think the reputation was that bad! Mind you, anywhere can be bad down the wrong streets which you don't know as a visitor, but any tourist areas are usually fine in my experience. If you read the newspapers and their exaggerations about literally any city or country, you'll never leave the house. Though I do avoid going out that much in the evenings these days, I prefer looking around from early on, getting a bit old haha.
Definitely an infamous videolog... Always dress down... Please come on! Shame on your contents!
I understand that this is not my best video and I should have done a better job at presenting Naples, but please don’t offend all my channel and content based on one single video… I put a lot hard in my videos and I think if you watch, anything else you’ll be able to see it😅
Contents was referred to the video contents, not to the channel.
Go to London thats dangerous
Of course, some pets of London are dangerous as well. You’re totally right
I was going to volunteer there and now i’m scared 😭😭. Also I dont look Italian at all so there’s no way I can pretend that I’m Italian.
Hey girl, don’t worry about it! As you can see many people didn’t actually agree with me😅 but I’d still say to be cautious as you’d be in any other city when visiting ❤️

@@g33335 some do,but plenty defintely do not....
@Zaytona 99 Oh don't worry at all - do volunteer there if you want to, Naples is no different to anywhere else in Europe. Naples being the most dangerous city in Europe is just mainstream media lies, and plus we are very friendly and welcoming to foreigners (yes I'm from near Naples lol).
@@gabrielstravels-discoverin7368 aww that’s very swear to hear. Unfortunately my volunteering trip got cancelled anyways
Come to NJ Camden. You will know what dangerous is. This girl is nuts saying such things about naples.
😂 will try going there!
Much of Europe looks like this. Even Athens seems to be worse.
Hey Clare, to be honest I went to Athens a month before going to Naples and yes, it does have some more “dangerous” areas but I felt safer overall than in Naples. What was your experience?
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon I guess it’s a vibe that’s hard to explain. I felt very unsafe in Rome and was robbed in Barcelona as well as followed and harassed in paris. I felt much safer in Eastern and central east Europe for the most part than western. I don’t find a lot of the big cities in Western Europe to be as safe as people may think that’s why I find a lot of them to be on a similar level in terms of “not feeling that safe” or things feeling dodgy.
According to ranking , Milan is the most dangerous city of Italy.
I think This woman traveled only around her village.
What is she talking about? 😂😂
This is NOT TRUE. Naples is perfectly safe, please stop spreading these rumours, yes there are criminals like any other city but Naples is certainly not the most dangerous city in Europe or the world, everyone Im with here we all feel perfectly safe and welcome!
8:15 the same things that you have done
No offense intended, but some part of this guide are pretty ridicolous, stereotypical and full of prejudices. Also people that said to you to stay away from Naples are really ridicolous, probably they ignore that London crime statistics show 10x higher numbers, while Rome statistics shows 3x and Milan statistics 5x the number of crimes. Also, statistics wise, crimes against women in naples are really a very rare occurrence, while they are a lot more common in other big european cities, London being one of the worst. So, by logic and data, no solo women should ever travel in Europe and particularly in London.
OMG...I am soon there. Frightened now.😱
Such a bad video. People from Naples should not allow you there anymore.
Hello vasi., 😉 you are very beautiful girl 🌹
Hello Vasiliki, how are you? Are you still in Potidea?
This is just her experience and her experience and perspective. If you don't like it, watch someone else, lol.
Thank you!!! ❤️ I understand that this video topic is bit controversial and my opinion is not the absolute truth 😅
Eastern europe is a totally different thing , but you guys also have “Gopniks” 😂😂😂
I had to Google that actually, we don’t have this word in Bulgarian but yeah.. I know this type of people way too well
Do you have Facebook?
Yes, sure! It’s Vasilena Georgieva 🥰 feel free to add me
If Naples it's unsafe, what is Marseille, Paris , Bruxell ,Los Angeles, Detroit????
Naples have a lot of tourists and a lot of university students because have 9 university....and night life in Naples it's vibrant and beautiful 😍 ❤ ♥ 😊 😀 💙.
Naples it's very beautiful, and for Italians statistics, North Italy it's very unsafe. Milano for first very dangerous.
Just for information: the zone nearby the stations 🚉 in all city in Italy, Milano, Rome, Napoli , are full of immigrants and homeless and poor 😢 people..... this is a problem in Italy.
For the rest, my time in Naples 8 years of student in Naples are a beautiful 😍 remind of my life ❤.
And I come in Naples a lot of times.
Food, people, history , football team, crazy city 😜 are a magnet 🧲 for my heart and my soul .
Naples it's state of mind.
Come on, you are talking about Naples like a war city.
Since you are a girl from Eastern Europe (and we all have our eyes on what is happening in Eastern Europe these days and what means to live in countries like those) the way you describe Naples is at least pathetic.
Maybe some of your friends from northern Italy have influenced you.
Yeah, I come from Eastern Europe and I find her arrogance and ignorance pretty disarming. Not wanting to be offending, but even the face she makes when she compares the buildings in Napoli to those in Sofia... kinda mean ha ha. Took a one day trip to Napoli when I stood in Rome, loved it and planning on visiting it again, maybe this month. I love this kind of ecclectic cities and I think Napoli has so much to offer, can't wait to explore it! ♡
@@bostanmariana2512
Naples is very large and very old, and there are many districts .... You have only visited the more "modest" ones. It is as if you go to New York and only visit the "Bronx"! This is also Naples: ua-cam.com/video/EM9nDoM8uDM/v-deo.html
What a terrible video this is, the way she bangs on you'd think every person in Naples is a criminal just waiting to snatch your cash, statically Rome and Milan are more dangerous so how in this video Naples is one of the most dangerous cities in the world.
The Spanish quarter is a wonderful place to visit, do not take her word for it.

Your video is so negative.
I was there last week and it was an absolute dump, for the sake of God, do not go there. I am glad you were able to make it look sort of positive.
The Amalfi coast is better than Naples itself
We went to Positano and Sorrento last year and we loved it🥰 Naples has it charm as well
