When i got my second piggy home from the pet shop, i held him in a smaller cage next to my other boy. They got so excited wanting to meet eachother that i did the bonding that same day. I didn't notice the new one had thousands of lice only after i did the introduction. I was shocked at tge numbers. Next day i rushed them to the vet and they both got a shot. If i only knew that a drop if ivermectin on their ears was enough... Poir babies got so stressed they shed a lot of hair during the vet visit.i could havs avoided that so easily if i only knew about the ivermectin...
Hi Yes it is painful and stressful and we can treat without the injection.

Yes they are super cute. They live indoors in a C&C and have grasstime every day outside. They are truly loved

How many times do I bathe them with this shampoo..? Like what’s the step to step treatment to get rid of lice..? I need help I can’t find a good enough video that explains step by step and for how long do I do it. Also what shampoo do I use? I have miconazole shampoo and ivermectin
How would I do the ivermectin also? Everyday until they’re gone or..? Thank you so much
Also I can’t find the type of shampoo u used where can I find it..? If I can’t use the other shampoo. I also got non toxic human lice treatment but idk if I should use that. PLEASE HELP ME IM IN DESPERATE NEED

Essentially you have everything to treat your piggies.
You need to give them a bath first which will get rid of mites that are moving, but eggs that are still attached and those that are in areas that you don't bath like the face/nose will then be taken care of by ivemec. It depends which Ivemec you have as here in Australia there are two types. However treating only once and then again 7 days later will be enough. Reach out to me and I can help you with how much to use etc.
Cavy Central Guinea Pig Rescue with Lyn I don’t have a Facebook or anything only UA-cam :( when u say bathe them is that in the shampoo I have or the human lice treatment..? I have the ivermectin that they eat it’s like horse wormer I think another guinea pig rescue I follow said you can use that instead of the injectable stuff. & when you say treat again in 7 days do you mean bathe them again in it and then the ivermectin also? I’m so sorry for all of the questions I just wanna make sure they get better and I do it right.. scared to hurt them!! :( thank you so much..!!
