Working on this sword as I'm typing this but I'm using cardboard since we had an enormous piece of it. Would be a waste not to use it. Since it's not as strong as foamboard I'm wrapping the edges with a glue and water mix and newspaper to make it stronger. My first ever cosplay project, I hope it will turn out as awesome as yours, epicfantasy.
woah, very impressive work you did there, well, everything you've done on your channel so far has never stopped amazing me, but this one is beyond masterwork quality.
I am so not a drawer, but I was able to follow the easy to follow instructions. I am excited to have a template to use. I am in the beginning stages of my cosplay armor project.
Another great and easier way to create horns and shapes is to use aluminium foil! It holds its shape much better than newspaper, is stronger, and still super cheap. As a cosplayer who spends hundred on costumes, I am amazed at your affordable resourcefulness when making props. I used your Katarina's Blades tutorial months ago when I started making stuff. Thanks!
hi as a crafter myself i watched this video and i saw u used regular glue and painted it out another fun easy way to glue them is the all purpose spray glue u can find next to it the can really helps glue fast and strong !! also in place of the ping pongs i used foam craft balls ... like the planetary sets in school
only one thing missing from this video and that was showing how it would look with the glow in the dark paint taking effect, otherwise a great video - really makes me want to try this project! Although I'll be looking out for a video to make the whole costume as well...
I love your videos!!!! This will be my first attempt at using craft foam and I'm going to make Kingdom Hearts 2 Rikus "Way tot the Dawn" keyblade. This video gave me so many ideas on how to detail the keyblade!!
I just started dabbing in the cosplay world and came across this video for my female Lich King I'm doing. As a beginner in this world, I cannot thank you enough for this!!!!
Thanks for all of these helpful tutorials!! I am a horrid artist, but the topic of creating weapons and armor with foam n' schtuff has always been a distant dream of mine. Thanks to these templates that you provide for us, I have been able to finally do something! Just today, as a last minute Halloween costume, I used your tutorial for a hidden blade so I could be Desmond from Assassins Creed. Also, I think that it would be super cool if you could do a tutorial for one of the swords from Destiny. Thanks!!
OMG I am nerding out so hard right now! I've never attempted anything quite this ambitious in foamboard but I am going to have to now that I've seen your video. I'm obsessed with World of Warcraft and I simply can't live without this on my wall by my computer! If I can get my hands on the materials I am SOOO making this! :D Liked, Favorited, and if I can get this made, I will send you a picture for sure! Thank you for sharing!! Oh! Also, I live in Canada and may not be able to get exactly what you have there, so just to be sure I get the right amount, aproximately what dimension foamboards have you used here?
I just started watching your channel today and I must say that, it is one of my favorite channels. I like your tutorials, and it is going to help me a lot with my future projects and cosplays. Keep up the good work and I think that a BlazBlue weapon, such as the Blood Scythe, would be a fun project. Or, like Soul Edge, so an awakened Force Edge, from Devil May Cry.
OMG! AMAZING! THIS WAS MY FAVORITE SWORD OF ALL TIME! I'M DEFINITELY MAKING ONE! But before I start planning, I must ask, what kind of glue are you using? What is the name? All the white liquid glues I've used in the past didn't glue anything properly.
I made this for my son. thank you so much for the tutorial. I am going to make another one, but I thought it turned out pretty good. My son was amazed. Do you have anything else I could make from world of Warcraft? Also could I get the certificate. Thank you so much. This was fun.... How do I send a picture to you of this
Wow, I thought the dragon bone sword from Skyrim was impressive. This project turned out amazing. Great work! No demo of how the glow in the dark paint turned out?
Since u do a lot of sword tutorials Could u do a master of the universe He Mans swords or She-Ra? Or do the sword of omens from the Thunder Cats??? All would be great project!! Thank you for all of the tutorials that u do!!! They are all awesome
Looks so awesome!! Amazing work as always, Will I have a small suggestion, why don't you remake the Zelda Mater Sword and Hylian Shield? The ones you made before were good, but your swords are so much better now, it would be awesome if you remade them. You could make the 'wings' of the master sword with foam, sculpt them, and probably the same with the shapes of the shield. Anyways, great tutorial, thanks!
*currently making this out of foam because foam xD* ... Love your tutorials 8D as a thought on prop weapons.... im a fan of the Fate/Stay Night series and some weapons that stand out are ....Excalibur, Lanccers 'Gae Bolg', Beserkers Cleaver/Sword, Archers shortswords (Kanshou and Bakuya) and Archers Bow ..... any one of these would be brilliant to see made! i'll take snaps of my Frosty when its a bit further along!!!
Im addicted to you're Videos, think i may have watched them all! haha. Well done mate - keep it up ^.^ Also how do you scale you're projects? Is it trial and error or is there a method behind it?
Daniel Santanoceto Thanks for watching my vids. About scaling. I usually draw out some sketches freehand to get the scale right. It takes several passes.
Can you make cloud's buster sword from final fantasy 7 plz. I love your videos there all great I love doing creative things and because of you this has become a hobby. Thanks!
How about some steampunk gear! I had design my own goggles y not give it a shot also thanks for this videos learning new ways to craft stuff that looks great and its kid friendly is always great to know. Thanks epicfantasy
Man thank you so muchhhh!!!! This is awesome, awesome, awesome videoo, i always wanted that epic beautifle blade to have in my room :D THX A LOT!! Saviour :D
I've got a question and I thought you'd be able to help! I'm cosplaying a pharaoh in the next couple months and I'm struggling with making a foam or cardboard crown. I've found a few videos on how to make helmets, but I'm not sure how to make either the War Crown of Ancient Egypt (also known as the blue crown) or the more classic red and white one. Advice?
I know I've said this alot, but I really want a tutorial on the sword of eden from assassin's creed unity. It such a cool sword, and if you haven't already made one I'd also like a tutorial on a Templar bastard sword please
Hi there! I really like your project and I want to make it for a lich king cosplay. So my question is, can I make each part of the sword from a solid piece of foam board and not 2 glued parts? ( I have a thicker foam board and I can't find a thinner one )
Don't forget to subscribe! And hit that bell icon so you get notified when I upload new videos. Thanks!
I made this sword with my mother and it turned out great. Thank you so much for this video, i am a big fan of World of Warcraft. Again thank you!
+EpicGeek Topics You are very welcome! THanks for finding my channel!!

I've never been more confident about making such an epic Sword! Great Video! Loved it.
Wow you really give me inspiration I watched your dioramas, paper mache, guitar, animations and more
and they're all cool!!!!

That one looks awesome in the actual sense of the word. I actually want that one.
Guess I have my work cut out for this weekend.
hi as a crafter myself i watched this video and i saw u used regular glue and painted it out another fun easy way to glue them is the all purpose spray glue u can find next to it the can really helps glue fast and strong !! also in place of the ping pongs i used foam craft balls ... like the planetary sets in school

only one thing missing from this video and that was showing how it would look with the glow in the dark paint taking effect, otherwise a great video - really makes me want to try this project! Although I'll be looking out for a video to make the whole costume as well...
This would look amazing as a wall decoration with a shield shaped wood mount behind it!
Man, you are awesome! This looks gorgeous! You should sell stuff like this to cosplayers.
I love your videos!!!! This will be my first attempt at using craft foam and I'm going to make Kingdom Hearts 2 Rikus "Way tot the Dawn" keyblade. This video gave me so many ideas on how to detail the keyblade!!

youare just INCREDIBLE thank you sooo much you are wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I thought the dragon bone sword from Skyrim was impressive. This project turned out amazing. Great work! No demo of how the glow in the dark paint turned out?
Mike Blodgett Thanks and great question. The glow in the dark paint is pretty light. It doesn't show up well on camera in the dark.
Make the Death Knight Rune Sword! Or the axe would be pretty cool too, but I always chose the sword back in the day XD
Yet, another awesome project ! I love the details.
Since u do a lot of sword tutorials
Could u do a master of the universe He Mans swords or She-Ra? Or do the sword of omens from the Thunder Cats??? All would be great project!! Thank you for all of the tutorials that u do!!! They are all awesome

SP Inc. Pretty interesting suggestion. You are probably right.
*currently making this out of foam because foam xD* ... One more thing: You should find a way to use dry ice to create the effect where the sword emits that weird blue steam when it glows, like in the game
this is really amazing!!! wow, this is one of the best videos of fantasy sword creation!!
a hug from italy!! :D
This looks awesome! If you could make Chaoseater from Darksiders that would be cool too!

Hi there! I really like your project and I want to make it for a lich king cosplay. So my question is, can I make each part of the sword from a solid piece of foam board and not 2 glued parts? ( I have a thicker foam board and I can't find a thinner one )
Now do the Lich king's helmet, that would be a challenge
That looks great! :D Another one for my polymer clay to do list... it is getting pretty long at this point. :)

Hey great video, but can you do a tutorial on the atlantian sword from Conan the barbarian. Arnold's movie. Thanks.
