  • I've been eager to explore this creek so when a local friend told me we could get down as low as it was, I couldn't resist. I'd call it 1 below zero on the bridge gauge. We ran the lower section and paired it with a decently high Chairlift section of the Little River Canyon at 1700cfs. Video of that to come...

      It’s steep and fun as hell. This was extremely low flow. I hope to catch it again this year around 4”. This was like 0 on the bridge marker

    Funny story. We met at CMP. New paddler to join us. Loaded up kayaks and just as we started to leave, new paddler said he left his PFD at home. I gave him mine and we headed off to the river. Great day

    Nice!! Do you remember what the flow was that day? I know they do scheduled releases in the summer.

      John Goode, not this Bear Creek. This is a class 4 that runs into Little River Canyon in Dekalb County. This is a natural flow creek. Most people refer to this run as Teddy Bear or Bama Bear.
