I dragged a buddy of mine to a show after reading about him in guitar player magazine way back in 94' Been a favorite every since. Nice video. Rock on Chris!
Love the Texas twang on the guitar/amps with the Chicago blues riffs. Reminds me of SRV's "Tin Pan Alley" combined with Buddy Guy's "Five Long Years". Anyway, sick tune. Long live the blues!
I agree. He handles his guitar(at least in this video) like it was part of his physical body and I find that pretty amazing. Perhaps simply a matter of Management/PR of which may be slacking or even non-existent, dunno.
Thanks! My favorite part is how he so easily crams in about a million notes in the last seconds before he first starts singing at the beginning. Most players would likely slack off with a few unimpressive riffs right there, but not this guy and not here, by any means. Very impressive I think.
I had heard his name long before this, but there's so many quality musicians on Atlanta's north side that I simply had never caught him before, so imagine how I felt shooting video of him for the first time from about two feet away! The doctor says my face is about healed up now...
That's what I said! This was shot on the foreboding "End of the World" day 12/12/12 and thought, 'Well if this is gonna be it, it'll be a nice ending to it all!'
he is the best of the best S.R.V. could have learned a lot from CHRIS I have allways said SRV was the best blues man. but CHRIS has more scales and is a true master GOD did bless CHRIS
absolutely sickened me watching this vid......let me finish......some teen idol dogshit miming gets billions of hits, some guy in a bar owning guitar like he`d be born with one glued to his hands, and it received 13,102 hits, and a majority are probably us guys re watching it. *vomit*
The guy is a guitar monster. Brilliant.
I just saw Chris at the Sportsmen in Buffalo NY, brought the house down!
WHY THIS GUY ISNT MORE FAMOUS??HE DESERVES IT!
