The Cello is a really underrated instrument ...
It’s my personal favourite; there are none better than a cello.
It's not really underrated anymore though.
What is underrated are reed organs for example, or the bass trombone.

The Cello sounds like revenge served cold whereas the Erhu sounds like a mother weeping for her dead sons. Very fitting.
That's a great way to put it. The two instruments really do go well together, with sound and context.

Basically, they all accuse him of being a monster, which doesn't faze him until his ex-lover, Shay, testifies against him. Then he turns bitter and evil, lashing out at the jury.

This is so beautiful, her face at 00:48 is stunning and really conveys the power of that section of the song.
This is, by my opinion; the best video and song version Tina Guo has done of this song as she's just sitting down, playing the instrument in all it's glory for all of us to hear, it's beautiful and without all the weird visual effects and actionmovie-antics of a "sexy woman" shown in her other videos: it's just the music, and magical at that.
