While spending a very unexpected week in St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, I accidentally came across this delightful film "on demand", and watched it twice a day. As compared to that intolerable "Being The Ricardo's" or the confusing "Elvis", this heartwarming movie literally made me both happy and feel well sooner. Apparently, there's an earlier version starring Angela Landsbery (sp?), which I would also love to see. Thanks again for your excellent, sweet review... 😘👍

One of my all time favourite films is mrs…. ARRIS !!!!! ( the original title ) goes to Paris with Angela Lansbury now because I am a big fan of Lesley manville I was looking forward to the remake I’m afraid I got through an hour of the film before I’d had enough …if I hadn’t seen the original then I’m sure I would have thought it a good film but no there are snippets that are the sam3 but to me it is just not mrs arris goes to Paris …. Iv just looked on eBay for the book to see which film is truer to the film but there are what looks like a new book with Lesley manville on the cover and an original book ….I’m wondering if the books are also different and did you read the new one ….. .
Luckily I found Mrs ARRIS goes to Paris on UA-cam the full film so I watched it and it was lovely ….have you watched the original

Do you know, I didn’t know there was an Angela Lansbury version?! I need to seek that out now. The book I read was the original by the author, i wonder how it compares to the Angela Lansbury one?!

@chattybatty7726 I 100% agree with you! I felt so let down by the new version...the old Angela Lansbury will forever be the best version! It's a shame that it's so hard to find it in a watchable format anymore.
