I'm going to be honest, as an American, German History has fascinated me since I was very small. My family came from the Kingdom of Baden-Wurttemberg as hired mercenaries for the British during our War for Independance. After George Washington crossed the Delaware River and smashed the German mercenary camps, my progenitors defected to the Revolutionary Cause and assisted in training the Continental Army. After the war they settled in New York where they remained for 247 years. It is my hope to complete the circle and return to Germany when I retire. Perhaps I shall live quietly in the village of Berchtesgaden on the Obersalzberg, where I will spend my days waking to the beautiful mountain views and devoting what hours remain to me to reading my vast collection of German language books on a variety of German cultural subjects. In the end, I hope to be buried within that sacred German soil that gave rise to those who would one day permit my existence. Deutschland, heiliges Vaterland, für dich wird mein Herz noch eine Weile dulden.

@@Tendon-Cobar-2347 the FreiKorps went on to be the "Sicherheits Polizei" (or the other Police that i forgot the name of) but both in the weimar repuplic why you may ask? because the Freikorps was considert to be part of the german Military by the allies and that was a problem because the reichwehr (because of the pact of versailles) could only have limited amount of weapons and because the Freikorps was using weapons also the reichswehr were even more limited in having weapons so after their succes they either went to the police or were civillians after that (that all happend in the weimar repuplic and they didn´t have to do anything with the nazi regime exept perhaps some of the members of the freikorps that went their to be in a "army" again if you can call that a army )

political violence and intimidation are not the basis of a normal society. extremism like that is fighting fire with fire. while places like the USA and eastern europe are famous for political shitshows, you as a german should have been taught better. a more realistic solution would be to teach people common sense, how to think for themselves, and how to look out for propaganda and extremist online. it would shift the internet to being less political and insane and in turn the offline world too. far fewer SJWs, nazis, marxists, communists, etc. and hopefully having sane conversations will become commonplace instead of calling for paramilitary action in a YT comment section.

This song is a beautiful music , is sadly the fact that there is a nazi versione of it i listened both of them and i can tell you that the ideals are vero different in the order one (this) the soldiers fight for Germany and their honour and death laughs along , in the nazi version the soldiers fight for Germany and for hitler and the devil laughs along , but the hate for the communist is the same

basicly the nazis "took" it and just changed a few things but this version is from the German kaiserreich if not even from the Preußens

@@Tendon-Cobar-2347 the FreiKorps went on to be the "Sicherheits Polizei" (or the other Police that i forgot the name of) but both in the weimar repuplic why you may ask? because the Freikorps was considert to be part of the german Military by the allies and that was a problem because the reichwehr (because of the pact of versailles) could only have limited amount of weapons and because the Freikorps was using weapons also the reichswehr were even more limited in having weapons so after their succes they either went to the police or were civillians after that (that all happend in the weimar repuplic and they didn´t have to do anything with the nazi regime exept perhaps some of the members of the freikorps that went their to be in a "army" again if you can call that a army )
