      @@heletheadThey didn't.
He keeps making these outlandish claims on other Tull videos. It would be almost 5 hours of music. "Too Old to Rock..." wasn't even released until the following year, and Passion Play was never played again in it's entirety after the PP tour. TAAB wasn't played entirely until decades later. Either he's having a go at Tull fans, or he was extremely high. I can only imagine his fish tales.

It seriously pisses me off that so little quality video of live Tull exists from the period of 1968-1975. Why did no one alive at the time think to record a live show of, say, Thick As A Brick, or A Passion Play?

Have to agree - I saw TULL in early April 1975, not long after I arrived to be stationed there at HAHN AB, West Germany. The guys bought me a surprise ticket since I was a real bastard having been yanked away from Tempe AZ where all the bikinis get tried before use in CA.
They were playing in Frankfurt at StadteHalle.... and THAT show is still probably thee best concert I've ever been too.
Shows in Europe in those Years were attended by polite fans who stayed quiet until each song was over....preferring to not interrupt and therefore able to hear each and every note with extreme relish. This is where Americans get it all wrong with their constant standing and interruptive noise/clatter.
The fans all sat in folding chairs and not one chair was ever upset or thrown at anyone, including the stage...
AND, Ian came out on stage with a GIANT helium filled red ball that got pushed down the length of the Halle several times before it popped.... ALL of that should have been filmed along with a great Aqualung Show.

What a shame there are so little live material from 70s!! I don't really understand why they weren't properly filmed back then...must be due to the costs. I wish Tull would put all the recorded stuff from the beginning till, perhaps 84, and improve the quality and put it (or them) out into the market.

Ahhhh memories! I saw the same tour from the same seating location at a different venue (Greensboro Coliseum). I was 16, had a new 35mm camera borrowed from my high school photography class; shot a 36-pic roll of film. Sat right in front of Jeffrey. (Remember the matching zebra (two people in a suit) coming out and "pooping" zebra striped turds - tennis balls, I think they were. Ian made faces and gestures at me when I was taking pics - even came right over, maybe 10 feet in front of me, and did his crazy moves and gestures. Already a dyed-in-the-wool Tull fan since age 12, I was delirious!
Camera was not in the car the next morning. 35 years later I am still sickened by that loss. To hell with the camera tho - I'd give $1000 and a testicle to have not lost that film. But at least I have the Tull memories - and this brings them back more clearly - thank you!!

@@handebarlas6248 Even cooler: We parked behind the coliseum long before the show and watched Ian stroll across the huge parking lot from a bus far off in a corner. Thought he was a roadie - all black head to toe and carrying a well-worn guitar case. He glanced at us and nodded slightly as he walked down the loading ramp - us gawking from a few feet above and to the side. As awkward teens,
We just looked at each other as if to say, “Was that…. Him?” as if the messiah had just passed by - lol. I was so angry not to have said hello or something. I do think he recognized us in the front row later. Cool memory 😊

Larry Curtis Hi Larry. Just browsing youtube, looking for teh newly found 75 silent film Erin put music to. I'll find it on FB when I go back. I saw your post here thought I'd reply. I knew Jeff only through a Tull discussion group. He started a contest for teh best Tull song where we listened to all the releases 3 at a time every 4 days or so. It took a year plus I believe. I met a handful (met on line anyway) of people some I considered friends. I exchanged e-mails with Jeff myself. Were you involved in teh contest? Anyway, I heard on that group that Jeff had died, there was no explanation. Darin Cody knew hem better and he and I talked about it at the Tull convention in November, he does not seem to have much more info. I liked Jeff and he was a great music fan.

You know why Jethro Tull is not in fake RRHF?, because is the best progressive rock band of the history. Is too much outstanding for the CEO , simply is the best band ever , and Greg Harris cannot accept the reality, because Jethro Tull music is not his taste, this music is not commercial, pop and popular , is just to smart , sophisticated and complex.
Ian Anderson won’t like to be in RRHF along with Madona and par example garbage bands as Kiss. The same happens to K Crimson and ELP.

Actually they're lucky they got what they got at all. A standard Super 8mm silent cartridge only had about 5 to 10 minutes on it. So the cameraman did a smart thing. They shot it during pivotal moments. And there may have been a cartridge change or two during the filming. Yes the soundtrack is cut up as a result, but it can't be helped. Look at it for being an "overview" if you will of an incredible concert from an amazing point in Jethro Tull's career. And there are times during "Aqualung" where Anderson looks like he's mugging for the camera!!! Priceless! Thank God the cameraman got a lot of that tune!
I enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you.

Are you kidding? Give me a break! This was shot without audio on an 8mm camera and as R Zito pointed out, you had to change out cartridges and deal with batteries running out etc. Since there's precious little
footage from that era of Tull, this is an awesome snapshot! Thanks for caring enough to put it together.
