  • Arizona State Sen. Eva Burch announced she plans to get an abortion after learning her pregnancy in not viable on Monday.
“I don’t think people should have to justify their abortions,” Burch said in a senate floor speech. “But I’m choosing to talk about why I made this decision because I want us to be able to have meaningful conversations about the reality of how the work that we do in this body impacts people in the real world.”

Women should not have to explain medical conditions to legislators in order to get basic healthcare. Yet, here we are.

This woman WANTED to have a baby, BUT IT IS NO LONGER VIABLE! That means it will not live! She should not have to explain, or ask permission. She IS her body, only she has a need or right to make this decision. Reproductive rights are women's rights, women's rights are human rights.

Fine. But the DNA inside her is separate from her. It is also half the father as well if you want to get technical. What's your stand on the COVID jab?

It's the same old shtick. She focuses on herself and completely ignores the main concern for pro-lifers: the rights of the unborn human being. So at most her grandstanding was preaching to the choir. If you want to resonate with pro-lifers, try to address our actual concern.

@@michelebella677 This is a telling response. No sane person would respond with "but they were going to die anyway" in response to the charge that they are committing murder. So you're either ignorant (don't know what the other side believes in) or lack empathy (cannot see where the other side is coming from). Which is it?

@mnmmnm925 or you don't understand how pregnancies work.
If the fetus dies and starts decomposing inside the mother, what the fuck do you think that does to the mother?
The fetus is going to die. It's already dying. An abortion in this case would only remove the already dying tissue from them.

Are you serious? Her and her HUSBAND were actively trying to have another child. The pregnancy wasn’t viable, meaning the embryo was DEAD. NOT ALIVE. Why would you want to force this woman to carry some dead embryo in her uterus until she becomes septic and, what? Until SHE dies? How “pro-life” is that concept? What is wrong with you?

My first pregnancy resulted in an early miscarriage, the most unbearably traumatic and devastating experience of my life that still haunts me. My body did not pass my baby and I was forced to have surgery, adding to the trauma. My child, the life that I prayed for and cherished had value. That life was precious and had infinite independent worth outside of my desires. I was BROKEN, my entire being was shattered. I had to force my body to continue functioning at even the most basic level and for the 3 months it took me to physically heal and then blessedly conceive again, I was a shadow of a human.
Losing a child is against nature, against a woman’s nature and psyche, and should be MOURNED, not capitalized and exploited. I see and hear no sorrow in this woman’s demeanor/voice. I hear defiance and self entitlement, not sadness over such a heartbreaking loss. She does not speak of her child’s “non viability” as a tragedy for her child, no, she explains in deep resentment the impact and inconvenience to HER. Selfish and narcissistic.
“My body, my choice BS”. As an adult, when you decide to have sex, and you/your partner are not 100% sterile, you sign an unseen contract with the knowledge that your actions could result in a new life (if contraception fails, etc). That life has supreme value regardless of your personal thoughts and desires. You have a responsibility to that new life to see it through to birth. In those very short 9 months, you practice self sacrifice and figure out a course of action that will be best for your CHILD (not clump of cells, not parasite) once birth occurs. Be that adoption or stepping up to the plate and making changes to your life and mindset to become what your child needs to thrive. You do not MURDER your child because it does not have worth to YOU.
I know that isn’t what she claims is the case in her situation, but at the heart of the abortion stance, the value or lack thereof a woman places on her fetus(offspring, in this case HUMAN) is the driving force. In the case of this woman, instead of berating and shaming the Pro Life stance, she could have shown empathy, vulnerability, and SORROW over this tragic loss of life to her child and explained why operations are sometimes tragically needed when a woman’s body does not pass a miscarried pregnancy. Nope, she berated and shamed and stood on her pedestal of self righteous indignation over having to go through proper channels to ensure that the termination of her CHILD’S LIFE was the only course of action.
Do we not give convicted, death row inmates YEARS to appeal and ensure their sentence is just before they are put to death? Why then would checks and balances on the ending of an innocent life cause such consternation?
I will never, ever understand the vast majority of the “Pro Choice” movement and their reasonings and I am grateful for that. You do not kill someone because they are inconvenient and unwanted. You do not kill someone because they may be disabled or live in poverty. You do not end life without regard. Our society has lost the value of life and views it as a cheap commodity to be tossed aside at will. It is tragic and disgustingly rampant.

Miscarriage is incredibly common and while I'm sorry that happened to you, your rhetoric is hateful of women and not helping anyone. Miscarriage is NOT shameful, it's perfectly natural our bodies sometimes reject pregnancies.25% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage. It might be sad for some people, but not all people.
Mostly, you're spreading hate and ignorance. There's NO reason ANYONE should have to have their abortion approved, let alone for a miscarriage because politicians feign willfully ignorant of basic facts of human biology because they're trying to weaponize pregnancy.

    • @indiebaby
      @indiebaby Місяць тому

THERE IS NO SHAME IN MISCARRIAGE. Women's bodies naturally abort pregnancies that are not compatible for life. Miscarriage is a VERY NORMAL part of life and pregnancy.
I just wonder why your hateful, bigoted wall of text remains up and my response was hidden for calling it out.

You’re projecting your own experience onto this woman, every woman has and shows very different emotions, I would never be able to stand in front of a court and tell my abortion story without completely checking out and detaching myself emotionally to not risk a panic attack over the memories. Sounds like you need more therapy, nothing you said has anything to do with a woman’s right to choose, you’re just looking for validation of your own experience ❤
