Great driver, but also a huge factor on why he out performed Vettel, is that the 19' and 20' cars were built for Leclerc(max. oversteer and strong front end). Really great driving style with the those cars imo.
From new gen in order imo it's Verstappen, Leclerc, Russell, Norris, Piastri, Albon, Ocon, Gasly, and Tsunoda. Yes I think Ocon is way better than fans (especially the DTS ones) give him credit for. @@damiyoflapies847319 car was built for seb. Charles literally just arrived at the team. 2020 was buily for charles and he absolutely demolished seb then.
I'm a car enthusiast and have been a passive racing fan for most of my life but only just got into watching F1 last season (I have never watched DTS). Leclerc became my favourite driver very quickly and still is now, absolutely love his driving style! As a VW driver Audi is going to be my team, but I'll still be cheering for Charles first and foremost no matter who he's driving for. Just hope one day he finds himself driving an Audi!
@@askeladden450 for the first seven races in 2019, he out qualified Leclerc 6-1. Then they brought upgrades to France that really ruined Sebs pace as the car did not rotate as easily. Finally he recovered form in Singapore. In 2020 sebs Ferrari was running old engine parts (like Daniel Riccardo in 2018) so Charles beat him (plus car was made for Charles).
Imo those who say Norris, Russel or Sainz are better are blinded by recency. They're all great imo, but Charles has been the only one to show that he can fight the likes of prime Max and Hamilton on track and win, he has clever racecraft and good tire management unlike what people often say about him and he's shown it multiple times.
as I said on your previous video: I don't agree that he brakes early! he is well known for being a late braker, which is why he carries more minimum speed in corners and sacrifices his exits.
The video is really good but I’d suggest using more irl clips than assetto corsa clips so we can see what Charles is actually doing, and maybe even comparing it to sainz’s smoother style
He has a very demanding driving style which is far more than the expected brake, turn, accelerate which I do on my PC. Micro inputs so that every corner is a little fight to get the maximum out of it. He plays with everything, the rubber, the temperature, the extra grip. He is exciting to watch and one of the very best with that. Could imagine that others would crash a lot if they try to imitate.
Will you start one day explaining what each car form different teams feel like to drive? meaning if it tends to be an oversteery or understeery car and stability and brakes, it could be good too because we could also understand more about certain handling traits that cars have and that some drivers might need to adapt or change some things of theirs styles to fit to it, such as checo to the Red Bull or Riccardo to the McLaren

He doesn't, I think that he gains time during the early stage of the corner because he carries lots of speed. The F1-telemetry in qualifying shows that he brakes earlier than Sainz when his laptimes are faster. So when he's closer to the grip limit, he brakes earlier rather than later.
Well the "overdriving" statement isn't so true, I'd say he is just constantly flirting with the limit. Overdriving is more so when you are pushing, forcing the car to carry more speed through a corner or braking later than you normally would in the hunt for pace and actually just going slower than you normally would or going a similar pace but just destroying tires. Charles defintely doesn't go slower when pushing, just happens to find the limit abit more often which sadly most of the time is a wall lol
