    Thank you! This is wonderful. We have a few black walnut trees on our property and we're just discovering all the wonderful things these tress provide. I also learned the hard way about the husks staining skin... that's a mistake you make only once.

    Can a large batch be made by doubling the double recipe? I’d like to make some to share.
    Also I couldn’t find the bees wax but found a coconut beeswax blend do you think that will work?

    • @yourticulture6763
      @yourticulture6763  Рік тому

      I’d say yes, but I would allow more time (maybe 4-6 hours) for the heat infusion part. Try the coconut beeswax. The beeswax offers the salves structure, so if the coconut has beeswax in it, it should work. Keep us posted on how it works for you 😊

    You should look into poke berries for your moms arthritis. Thanks for the videos.

    • @yourticulture6763
      @yourticulture6763  Рік тому

      Thanks for your comment. I looked at poke first, but due to my moms other illnesses; where she takes different medications, I felt the poke berries posed too much of a risk.
      Since the seeds are poisonous, I’m trying out a poke root oil, but I haven’t tested that out yet.
      Thanks for your support!

    QUESTION- will using this salve discolor/stain your skin, or does that "property" go away in the processing?

    • @yourticulture6763
      @yourticulture6763  2 роки тому

      Good question, Jackie. It can with continuous and consistent use.
      My mom used it every 8 hours daily on her hand for over a month before she noticed a slight discoloration on the creases of where she applied it.
      I’ve used it sporadically for muscle pains and no discoloration.

    This is lovely. Are these the proportions: 1/2 C grated husk, 1/2 C EVOO, 1/4 bees wax, 1/4 coconut oil? Not sure if the 1/4 C is for the double batch or single.

    • @yourticulture6763

      Jessica, thanks so much for the comment!
      Yes, you got it!
      1/4 cup on bees wax and unrefined coconut oil for one batch. It creates (1) 8ounce tin.

      @@jessicabrockington4546 It can.
      My mom used it consistently, every 8 hours, for over a month. It was around the one month mark, she did notice some discoloration on her hand. She said she can live with that, but the pain she couldn’t.
      I think I’d use it in moderation and if you start to notice discoloration, then decide if it’s worth continuing.

      @@yourticulture6763 I can't remember the website where I read it. I frequent quite a few prepper sites and I just had to reboot my system so the info was lost. If I stumble across it again, I'll be sure to forward the article to you. I do remember that they said the husks should be good and ripe, dark in color and use the highest proof alcohol you can find. I use Everclear Grain alcohol. Loved your video, can't wait to try it.
