Long time Airstreamer here, 30+ years and still at it. All your hoses, stabilizers, etc, anything that touches the ground or that you will roll up and store inside one of the Airstream compartments can invite ants or other bugs to join you inside the rig. Simple solution…Comet cleanser from the $ store sprinkled under hoses, etc and you won’t have a problem. Just be sure to put it everywhere.

We really do love camping and spending time together! We’ve had the Airstream, now for 9 months. I’m not an expert by any means, however, I do feel much comfortable. We’re loving the journey! Learning a lot and meeting lots of great people. We’re trying to go camping, on a monthly basis. It’s hard to work around the kid’s school schedule..
My wife and I went to Ft Wilderness campground, for our first time in the camper, in November to celebrate her birthday. We are an older couple and travel around in our 5th wheel, usually two weeks at a time. I still work but even sence covid, I'm now 100% remote working. We also like Fort Desoto.
Fort Wilderness is a beautiful resort. That’s our goal, hopefully one day, very soon we can go 100% remotely. We can’t wait to go full time, however, with little kids there’s a few things I need to take into consideration. Safe travels my friend, hope to see you guys on the road!!

This vid has since passed; enjoyed watching it. Love original YT content. And more so someone from South Florida. And this being your first TT talk about going big $$ lol. I'm here in Miami Dade; we recently upgraded to a Grand Design 22mle TT; We took delivery Feb 4th in TN and stayed at a State Park and winter camped we caught some light snow. I'm hooked on Winter Camping going forward. Heading out to Korshian State Park tomorrow, in Estero, FL; Taking the scenic route through Tamiami Trail.

Safe travels tomorrow, specially going through Tamiami Trail, even though they’ve expanded and upgraded the first 15 miles, West of Krome Ave, it’s still dangerous. I worked that entire area for 10 years. We’ve a new video coming out later on today and another one next week. We traveled to Savannah, Ga & Westgate River Ranch here in Winter Haven, during Spring Break. Now in two weeks we’re heading to Fort Myers!

It was nerve wracking! First time towing the trailer, first time having a camping experience with the family and also one of my first videos on UA-cam. Crazy how everything sounds great in my head, however, the second we start recording, everything goes the drain!! 😂😂😂😂

Great video! I have traveled many times from Upstate New York with my RV to stay at FW. It is a one of a kind campground. You were looking for suggestions on other campgrounds to stay at. I can recommend the Orlando Kissimmee KOA if you want to save a little and have access to the theme parks. Also would recommend North Beach Camp Resort in Saint Augustine. No paved sites so you need the campsite mats to cut down on coquina in the RV. Beautiful sites.

Awesome video! Hope you and your family make amazing memories in your Airstream. Suggestion for a Florida campground: head to the panhandle and check out Camping on the Gulf Campground in Miramar Beach (east of Destin). Camping on the beach there is an experience the family will never forget.

Congratulations on your Airstream! We have had one for over 3 years now and love it! A recommendation on a Florida trip would be St. Augustine and look at staying at Sun Outdoors St Augustine (formerly Compass RV Resort), which is close to the historic area. Ask to stay in the Oasis area of the RV park. Happy travels! :)
My wife and I just started full time in a 30' airstream as well as a UA-cam channel, our first major stop was the Florida Keys. My recommendation would be to go way overkill on the power system if you plan on doing anything off grid. Same model as yours and I have 6 battle born batteries, victron 3k inverter, victron solar charge controller and 8 100w Renogy panels on the roof. Just watched your video with 1 bar of verizon (ordered a weboost) in the middle of nowhere Mississippi....in a rainstorm, batteries are at 97%, been cloudy all day and it's dark outside. Plus the ac will run off it... so I'm told. Still have to install the soft start and finish the wiring for that. Battle born sells complete kits for RV's direct from manufacturer w/free shipping
Definitely have to make some modifications to the power system. We are also planning to go full time and we need all the power we can get, for the kids to go to school online. We’re still in the honeymoon phase, with our trailer 😂. That’s why we haven’t done it yet. We’re heading towards the Keys, very soon!!

I'm only 41 so this is a temporary gig for us, no better time to hike and enjoy the outdoors than now. Our channel is WeAreNotTurningAround, but we don't have many videos up yet.. ton of footage my wife is editing right now. Went from lake havasu AZ to the keys in a week with a stop in Tennessee for Thanksgiving
Looks like a great trip …. My wife and I live in our RV and it’s a little different than just going camping…. Try going somewhere a little more rustic and not somewhere like Disney…. You’ll find out the true experience….. it’s going to be much different
It really was a phenomenal trip!! We’ve been debating, going full time for awhile now. However, I’m hesitant because of my kids. Schooling and baseball are big factor for us. Any suggestions??
What a great first trip in your Airstream. We are hoping to take the grandkids there in a couple of years. Did you try the heat pump yet? It really saves on propane. We have hardly ever needed to use the furnace (which works great). I have 3 to 5 years until retirement. We are strongly considering going full time in our Airstream. As far as Florida camping, (we live in Northern Illinois) we have reservations next August on the Emerald Coast. Staying at a campground called "Camping on the Gulf" in Miramar Beach. They have sites that are literally on the beach (we got one for a 5 night stay) but you have to reserve a good year in advance. Hoping to get down to the Keys one of these days.
Yes, we used the heat pump several times and also the furnace, just because the temperature was in the high 40’s. You don’t see that a lot here in Florida! 😂 We’re definitely thinking about doing the same thing and going full time, just need to take a few things into consideration, when it comes to the kids. If you guys end up coming to the keys, look for Blue Water RV Resort, it’s awesome. Also here in Florida, research Westgate River Ranch, it’s incredible. Great videos. Keep them coming. We just received word that our 2022 30FB is ready for pick up but it’s 18F outside today (Massachusetts) so we will be waiting until spring to start our adventures. Given that you have the same model, do you have any advice on bedding? The dealer is storing our camper for us this winter but it’s a couple hours away so we are trying to do most of the provisioning/prepping sight unseen. There is not much info online regarding detailed specs for the 2022 models (e.g. mattress sizes and thicknesses). Good luck with everything. By the way, your enthusiasm at the beginning of this video is amazing. I’ll be three months behind you!

Our first day of camping, I honestly thought that the water heater, wasn’t working properly. We were getting less than 2 minutes of hot water. I did a little bit of research, by day two I started shutting off the water, while in the shower. Worked like a charm!!
@@GetawayWheels Don’t leave your canopy open when you are not there unless you have a canopy wind sensor. One couple went on a short hike. The wind picked up while they were gone. Canopy destroyed by the wind.

This vid has since passed; enjoyed watching it. Love original YT content. And more so someone from South Florida. And this being your first TT talk about going big $$ lol. I'm here in Miami Dade; we recently upgraded to a Grand Design 22mle TT; We took delivery Feb 4th in TN and stayed at a State Park and winter camped we caught some light snow. I'm hooked on Winter Camping going forward. Heading out to Korshian State Park tomorrow, in Estero, FL; Taking the scenic route through Tamiami Trail.

It’s a lifelong dream for me, we can’t wait to start doing it full time, however, the wife (Yule) is somewhat nervous about homeschooling. That’s what I’m talking about, another fellow RVer from Dade County. 👍🏽😂👍🏽 You guys also have a great TT. We’ve talked about it, I think winter camping, it’s the way to go!! Safe travels tomorrow, specially going through Tamiami Trail, even though they’ve expanded and upgraded the first 15 miles, West of Krome Ave, it’s still dangerous. I worked that entire area for 10 years. We’ve a new video coming out later on today and another one next week. We traveled to Savannah, Ga & Westgate River Ranch here in Winter Haven, during Spring Break. Now in two weeks we’re heading to Fort Myers!

Great video! I have traveled many times from Upstate New York with my RV to stay at FW. It is a one of a kind campground. You were looking for suggestions on other campgrounds to stay at. I can recommend the Orlando Kissimmee KOA if you want to save a little and have access to the theme parks. Also would recommend North Beach Camp Resort in Saint Augustine. No paved sites so you need the campsite mats to cut down on coquina in the RV. Beautiful sites.

Awesome video! Hope you and your family make amazing memories in your Airstream. Suggestion for a Florida campground: head to the panhandle and check out Camping on the Gulf Campground in Miramar Beach (east of Destin). Camping on the beach there is an experience the family will never forget.

Congratulations on your Airstream! We have had one for over 3 years now and love it! A recommendation on a Florida trip would be St. Augustine and look at staying at Sun Outdoors St Augustine (formerly Compass RV Resort), which is close to the historic area. Ask to stay in the Oasis area of the RV park. Happy travels! :)

We love the Airstream. Currently on our third camping trip. We’re visiting Lion Country Safari KOA, in West Palm Beach, Florida!
My wife and I just started full time in a 30' airstream as well as a UA-cam channel, our first major stop was the Florida Keys. My recommendation would be to go way overkill on the power system if you plan on doing anything off grid. Same model as yours and I have 6 battle born batteries, victron 3k inverter, victron solar charge controller and 8 100w Renogy panels on the roof. Just watched your video with 1 bar of verizon (ordered a weboost) in the middle of nowhere Mississippi....in a rainstorm, batteries are at 97%, been cloudy all day and it's dark outside. Plus the ac will run off it... so I'm told. Still have to install the soft start and finish the wiring for that. Battle born sells complete kits for RV's direct from manufacturer w/free shipping
Definitely have to make some modifications to the power system. We are also planning to go full time and we need all the power we can get, for the kids to go to school online. We’re still in the honeymoon phase, with our trailer 😂. That’s why we haven’t done it yet. We’re heading towards the Keys, very soon!!

I'm only 41 so this is a temporary gig for us, no better time to hike and enjoy the outdoors than now. Our channel is WeAreNotTurningAround, but we don't have many videos up yet.. ton of footage my wife is editing right now. Went from lake havasu AZ to the keys in a week with a stop in Tennessee for Thanksgiving

Looks like a great trip …. My wife and I live in our RV and it’s a little different than just going camping…. Try going somewhere a little more rustic and not somewhere like Disney…. You’ll find out the true experience….. it’s going to be much different

What a great first trip in your Airstream. We are hoping to take the grandkids there in a couple of years. Did you try the heat pump yet? It really saves on propane. We have hardly ever needed to use the furnace (which works great). I have 3 to 5 years until retirement. We are strongly considering going full time in our Airstream. As far as Florida camping, (we live in Northern Illinois) we have reservations next August on the Emerald Coast. Staying at a campground called "Camping on the Gulf" in Miramar Beach. They have sites that are literally on the beach (we got one for a 5 night stay) but you have to reserve a good year in advance. Hoping to get down to the Keys one of these days.
Yes, we used the heat pump several times and also the furnace, just because the temperature was in the high 40’s. You don’t see that a lot here in Florida! 😂 We’re definitely thinking about doing the same thing and going full time, just need to take a few things into consideration, when it comes to the kids. If you guys end up coming to the keys, look for Blue Water RV Resort, it’s awesome. Also here in Florida, research Westgate River Ranch, it’s incredible. Great videos. Keep them coming. We just received word that our 2022 30FB is ready for pick up but it’s 18F outside today (Massachusetts) so we will be waiting until spring to start our adventures. Given that you have the same model, do you have any advice on bedding? The dealer is storing our camper for us this winter but it’s a couple hours away so we are trying to do most of the provisioning/prepping sight unseen. There is not much info online regarding detailed specs for the 2022 models (e.g. mattress sizes and thicknesses). Good luck with everything. By the way, your enthusiasm at the beginning of this video is amazing. I’ll be three months behind you!

We have a 2021 Flying Cloud and I had issues with my tankless water heater and a water pressure regulator. The hot water was inconsistent
Our first day of camping, I honestly thought that the water heater, wasn’t working properly. We were getting less than 2 minutes of hot water. I did a little bit of research, by day two I started shutting off the water, while in the shower. Worked like a charm!!
You should make and keep a check list on your phone for your pre trips and post trips.
That is almost as involved as maintaining a B-1 bomber. LOL.
😂😂 Trust me, I’ve a 3 ring binder with multiple checklists. We all go step by step and double check everything, teamwork makes the dream work!

Don’t leave your canopy open when you are not there unless you have a canopy wind sensor. One couple went on a short hike.
