Hi Liz. Welcome and thank you for starting your Flosstube. I totally enjoyed your Intro. I also stitch in hand and look forward to watching your future flosstubes and progress as I have a lot of the same WIPS and patterns as you. It’s nice to be inspired and motivated by our fellow stitchers. 🎉

Liz, it’s nice to meet a fellow cross stitch fanatic, introvert, and Pennsylvanian! I heard about your FlossTube from Welcome Stitchery.
I am amazed! You are a prolific and eclectic stitcher. (Nothing wrong with eclectic; I like eclectic!) And your stitching is beautiful!
My husband and I took a weekend trip to Woodlawn in Virginia to see the needlework show. Afterwards we stopped at two cross stitch stores. My husband saw The Scarlet House’s Perfect World stitched and hanging on the wall. I had never seen it before. He rarely has a stitch request for me, but he asked me to do that one. I was working on kitting it up as I was watching your first FlossTube!
Thank you, Liz. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

The sunflower cross stitch is gorgeous you could fix it sewing another piece of fabric to it then when it's stretched to frame up it will be big enough. The extra material is then hidden by the frame but the piece is nice and taut and you can't see that the original fabric wasn't quite the right size. I love your stitching you have some beautiful pieces

So I'm backtracking on your videos. Love everything your stitching. I actually just placed an order for the little house needleworks that you showed and the Redbird Blackbird on your wall. I'm currently stitching Sparrow as well. It's been a long process but I'll get it done. You're so lucky to live in Lancaster I love it there. I live down the shore and I love photography so the sun rises over the ocean is my thing. With the snow and the rain today I'm going to sit here and continue on with the rest of your floss tubes. Enjoy your day

I really like the charts you've stitched behind behind you! I'm not a keeper of counts of fabric or color names necessarily. I think all of that and floss choices are a personal expression, a way to make your own.
I think that's smart, working a page at a time. I haven't used the grid fabric yet but I have a big project I intend to use. Thanks for the tip about stitching in grids.
I hope your floss is color fast. Your fabric should have been. I dye my own so it takes lots of rinsing...

I was gobsmacked at the amount of work you have put into your 34 projects. Real determination there. Some of your WIPS are patterns I’ve never seen…others are projects I’ve done, have kitted up, or am working as well. I have to say I burst out laughing when you got to the Tudor Bee…thank goodness I found your channel because I have it ready to go and was considering doing it one over one…you’ve saved me!🤣🤣 I immediately dismissed that notion! Nice #1 Flosstube ❤️. The key to stitching over one is explained in several available floss tube tutorials. The trick is the order you make the cross so the thread does not slip behind. I have to look it up each time I do😂

@@Theinhandstitcher I've been scanning the replies because I was sure somebody would have mentioned this! I am by no means an expert -- it's just something I tucked away to study for the day I get brave enough to stitch 1 over 1 on evenweave or linen. As I recall, the other things you have to watch are whether the "top" thread at the intersection is vertical or horizontal. And I can't remember whether there's a difference if you're doing a full cross one at a time or traveling one way with the bottom leg for a row and then coming back with the top leg.

What a fun video. I watched your video last week but came back to leave a comment for you. Your work is beautiful, I enjoyed your 1st video. Also the fabric that has graph lines on it; instead of worrying about stitching over the lines or going over it again with another thread 🧵 don’t worry about it. The lines come out! Some are heat activated, so if you apply an iron to it, the lines disappear 🫥 OR others the ink comes out using warm water. Usually the website has instructions. Don’t worry I get anxious too right before I submerge my wips. I hope this helps. Sending love your way. & Beautiful work .

Hi Liz! I just found your channel, and I am so glad that I did! You and I have very similar stitching styles, and we are stitching a lot of the same pieces. I am also stitching Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow, and your comments really resonated with me! I am on my 9th block, with the church, and I have been dreading the last 2 blocks! The New Year's one is full coverage, and I'm not a big fan of that. The last one has the weird text about death and the creepy Cherub. I thought about modifying them slightly, but it had never dawned on me to just consider it done after the Church block. I really need to give that some thought. I LOVE cardinals, so I do like block #10, but I have stitched a LOT of cardinals so I think I can skip this one. ALSO, the Christmas carol "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" ends in that block #9, so it seems like a perfect place to stop. Can you tell that I'm trying to convince myself?? I do a Flosstube with my best friend (also the owner of my LNS) and I have been showing this piece for months, so part of me feels like people are really expecting me to finish the entire thing. I would be interested to know what you think. I know this is getting long-winded. I really just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed your first Flosstube and I plan to go and watch your others. Thanks for pushing past your apprehension and giving this a try, soon it will feel very normal for you! Happy stitching!!

I was definitely thinking the same thing about the verse of the song ending with block 9. I like the cardinal block and even the new years block but I might stitch them separately as pillows. I don’t care for the last block personally.

I am so glad you did a video and I found you! I enjoyed it very much!!! First I have to say that your eyes are the most beautiful color and match your shirt! You have very similar taste to mine, and I enjoyed seeing your WIPs very much. I also enjoyed hearing about the area you live in as well as your travels to Maine. I really got excited when you talked about coming to Gatlinburg. I live about 45 minutes from there. I have to say we do have some beautiful areas down here, and just like you, I thought The Blue Flower's Huckleberry Farm reminds me so much of this area, of home. Your memory of the butterflies in the water of the Pigeon River will be brought back to mind with the butterfly in the center of the design! I look forward to watching more videos! Thank you for having the courage and taking the time!

I loved the Smokey mountain area! (Although I can’t say I loved the traffic through town 😬)

This was a very nice flosstub I am an introvert also and I cannot see me being brave enough to do this. You have alot of beautiful projects going and so many are almost completed. I am impressed. I will be waiting to see what new starts you will be doing in the future. My husband and I spent a week in Maine and loved it. I want to go back. See you on your next video.

I'm so glad that I found your flosstube----Karen, The Recovering Monogamous Stitcher, recommended your channel. I love all of your stitching and the variety of projects that you choose. Blackbird and Brenda Gervais as well as HATS are some of my favorites to stitch. I live about 20 minutes outside of Gettysburg and my husband is from Wyomissing so I'm somewhat familiar with the area that you live. Looking forward to your next video!

I’m pretty familiar with Wyomissing- I graduated from Governor Mifflin which is down the road from the Wyomissing area. Thank you for letting me know about that recommendation so I can go thank her!
