    I find the videos about how you're progressing with your work so interesting Annabelle! I also love your sense of colour in a lot of the pieces that utilise complimentary palettes - really cool! You kind of answered my question at the end but do you see yourself going down the fashion, or fine art route? Or maybe somewhere in between? (Or maybe something else entirely?) Is this what you're going to pursue when you finish school? I love seeing other creatives figuring it out and entering our industry, you seem super passionate so I'm really excited for you! X

    annabelle I swear you’re one of the only people on here who I could just sit and listen to. You have so much to say, and it’s just captivating. I was sitting eating breakfasting and I was already halfway through the video I couldn’t believe how fast it’d gone by. I love your vlogs, but I also enjoy your sit down/talk videos so much !!

    God this just reminds me of the wonders of textiles and weaving and all the women from history that made clothes and rugs and blankets completely from hand and were made to last for generations - I think the art form has been lost by the industrial revolution and fast fashion . I’m so glad to see you making your own stories and patterns in your textiles.

    Ending a long, stressful day with a new video by you, what could be better? 🧡 I'm a bit sad that I didn't find your channel earlier, but I'm so thankful for everything I could experience with you "together" so far. Just yesterday I downloaded a song you put in one of your videos and listened to it nonstop today. Like this, a part of your soundtrack became the soundtrack of my life as well. So we're really all in this together, it's rare to have such a loving, peaceful, supporting community like the one in the comments of your videos. I'm so excited for all the new experiences, new videos, new memories… So much love to you Annabelle and to all of you out there, who frequently return to this calm space within the internet to actually enjoy time and slow down a bit. 💛

I think your textiles are really beautiful even the ones with little flaws or maybe ones you don’t like as much, beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder some of the ones you didn’t like I definitely looooved thanks so much for making this video! There is definitely not enough exposure for the textile industry online 💗

  • @latetothepicnic6628
    @latetothepicnic6628 5 років тому

    It was really nice seeing your pieces and hearing you talk about the inspiration behind them. I think that's where I've struggled most with creating art is getting the inspiration for it. In high school you could only choose one theme for all your pieces and that was hard for me, every theme I picked felt too constricting. Also, Prairie in the last few minutes reminds me of my cat, Koala, when you pick her up she doesn't really want to be held but she's so polite she won't struggle to be let down. She just lets you hold her. It'll be 2 more months till I see her again. I mentioned it on one of your previous videos but I'm in Scotland for a couple months now and I was pretty nervous for it but I've learnt how strong I am, and capable. And now I know what things I'm not so great at doing (like feeding myself and time management) and I can focus on getting better at them. I'm glad that I had this opportunity to ~find myself~ and find out more about myself. And I'm happy that I didn't let my anxiety about the trip sway my decision to come. But I do really miss my cat; any cat that I see I immediately gravitate towards it.

    • @annabellegao
      @annabellegao  5 років тому

      Aw so nice to hear from you again. Yes, goal setting is the start to taking steps that make us better. Self improvement! Not for the approval or acceptance of other people, but so that we can feel freer and healthier. I think this applies to art, or any other form of career. It's a way of life; mindfulness. You are strong, yes, and you are capable! So nice to hear about koala, was she a grey kitty? How are you enjoying your time in Scotland?

    • @latetothepicnic6628
      @latetothepicnic6628 5 років тому

      @@annabellegao Yes Koala is mostly grey and her fur is so fluffy and I've heard people say koala bear fur is really soft so I figured the name would be a good fit. It just started snowing in Edinburgh and I was actually outside when it started snowing heavy. I have very limited experience with snow so it was beautiful. Today however I slipped on ice for the first time and that was a less enjoyable experience. But it was my sister's birthday and we worked out that it's been 10 years since I've spent her birthday with her so that was really special. I hope your week is going well and that you are in good health. ♥
