Thanks for the great video. I've been fascinated with Alcatraz since seeing "Escape from Alcatraz" as a kid. I wrote a paper on it in High School but, its been to many years ago to remember all the facts. I visited Alcatraz in June of 2001 and would love to go back again someday. Thanks again.
The fort under Alcatraz and the history of that island has always been extremely interesting to me ever since I played a horror video game called "The Suffering" as a kid (if anyone actually knows what that is). The prison and island from that game are heavily based on Alcatraz, to see the real old disused areas of the prison that were in the game is really cool. That island has been host to a lot of violence and evil.
Hi! No complaints from me! 😊 I just learned of these tunnels recently and am extremely grateful for your generosity in sharing your footage of them here on UA-cam. I enjoyed your video immensely! 👍 Many blessings to you, stay safe! 🙏😊
It would have been really good if you could have went there without all those people being noisy in the background. And the tour guide kept saying Ah and umm between every sentence. 😣 it really can drive a person crazy. It's like does this guy got some kind of disability or something? It is just distracting. When your voice comes on it's a lot more smooth and calming. How do we know that we're eating meals in complete darkness? They had candles and lanterns. We can't just assume things. I think the people at that museum need to do some more research. I mean the guards were not going to stumble around in the dark. They must have had some kind of candle or Lantern holders on the walls. I bet you if they do research they'll find it. That's why many times you'll find little indentations in the walls because that's where they would set down their lantern or candle for light. I can't imagine being down there with no daylight though and being a prisoner that is just inhumane.
But it was very nice of the tour guide to volunteer the rare tour. We appreciate his enthusiasm towards the history of Alcatraz. Thank you for watching the video.
@@ourtraveledroad9663 according to Wikipedia and what I have learned about him he did die from complications from venereal disease. They don't want to mention that but this is what it says in Wikipedia anyway and many other sources. So the museum needs to get their facts straight. "Since there was no cure for syphilis in the 1930s, Capone's illness worsened and led to his death at the age of just 48. He died at his home in Florida on 25 January, 1947, from a cardiac arrest after suffering a stroke." So basically he had complications from the syphilis which he contracted at a brothel in Chicago. The man was a gangster and a criminal, people should not make him some kind of celebrity.
UMMM every couple seconds hits different
Wow the tour guide was amazing. Like he was um at his first um job um
