    I have been in this building, it would have been a few years before the owner bought the it. I attended a bachelor's party in the water tunnel and we drove around going to several places that night including a trip to the Marin headlands overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and ending at a bar in Dogpatch. It is hard to see this place because of the trees and the wall by the street.

      He says in the video that the tunnels go into the mountain 300 ft. That would be a VERY short exploration.

      Someone else knows the difference between a cave and a tunnel. Congrats.

    I would like to do a documentary for a school project about this castle. How do I get in touch with the owner.

      Normal spring water, low mineral content, but suitable for Bottling, for making SODA or BEER.
      High purity water.

    If you think they built this in the 1800's you are out of your mind this is a Old World castle just like San Francisco is an old-world City

    "Beer Cave" aside, the word cave as a noun is also excursively to describe a natural cavity. Calling a tunnel , a cave, is a misrepresentation for marketing. Cool place nonthe- less.

    • @kurtpeterson315
      @kurtpeterson315 3 роки тому

      A tunnel has an opening on two ends. this apparently does not, so it could not be called a tunnel. A cave is correct and accurate.

    • @a97304
      @a97304 3 роки тому +1

      @@kurtpeterson315 A tunnel does not necessarily have other entrances. They are like the example above are commonly known as man-made, but that is not apparently a requirement. As to "cave" I will refer to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave and you can contact these specialists en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave_Research_Foundation of which I had been a member for 20 years.

      @@a97304 Wikipedia is not always correct and accurate. I didn't look anything up. I was using nomenclature from the mining industry, where a tunnel has two openings. Otherwise it has another name.

    • @a97304
      @a97304 3 роки тому

      @@kurtpeterson315 ...another name which is? With a degree in geology, I missed the nuances of mining engineering vocabulary for my more specific study of igneous petrology...mostly looking where to mine, not how to extract it. Correct, Wikipedia is not always reliable, because it is open course. Anyone can change fact into political or theological propaganda. However, those errors usually are quickly detected and corrected. As to caves, their development over time and the clues in geology on how to trace them out, surveying for research has been a consuming passion, that has taken me worldwide, from Cave Projects in Jamaica, Mexico and Costa Rica...to just self interest studying and exploration as far as Australia. Here in the US I have surveyed with teams in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky and have over 10 miles of survey there, a fraction of my life's total contribution to the science of speleology.
