Cyber Dragon was the card that got me hooked on yugioh through the GX anime. Yeah, I watched the show in DM era, and liked it, but it was the first time I saw CyDra that really got me wanting to learn and play the game. Also am I the only one who wants to see Synchro retrains of Laser and Barrier?
Facts. A month ago I brought my Cyber Dragon deck to locals and I beat a pretty good Labrynth player in a game 3 by dumping Electromagnetic Turtle with Rampage Dragon and using it’s effect to end the battle phase. Turtle is a great side deck card in Cydra
Also... It can be used first turn even if you can't attack that turn... While only have a soft opt. So get it out multiple times? EMT and A, get Rampage off field, get it again, B, C.
I remember doing some accidental wacky play in Master Duel where I have Mixeroid fuse Monsters in the graveyard to summon Pair Cycroid and XYZ summon them with a Cyber Dragon to get Cyber Dragon Nova then Cyber Dragon Infinity which makes my losing Duel gave me a comeback.
I'm so happy Phalanx Pike got the silly pick mention. I've ran it in my own deck for the last decade and it's lead to some wild swings in games against friends.
I would imagine Nova and Infinity are XYZ representations of Cyber Dragon versions of Flame Wingman and Shining Flare Wingman. Given the attack increase for Infinity with Nova as Material being similar to Flare Wingman’s attack increase after being summoned is an interesting parallel, especially when you consider the era of Yugioh this came out in. Thoughts?
To expand upon the "new psychic card tech" that you brought up with Processor, Psychic Arsenal allows you to make surprisingly excellent use out of E-Tele'ing Dimensional Allotrope Varis out onto the field, as he's a level 1 LIGHT Psychic Tuner monster, opening up a boatload of possible Synchro monsters, including a fair few Synchro Tuners to go all the way to something like Borreload Savage Dragon which you can slap a Sieger onto for some negation. I'm sure you could come up with some other combos, though. (Importantly, you can grab Core without eating your Normal Summon for its effect, making this combo a slightly more invested second use of Cyber Emergency!)
Cyber Dragons will forever be my pet deck next to Earth Machines. Will never forget the memories of having the Cyber Dragon Revolution Structure going against Hero's Strike during the high school days.
You know Sieger feels like something that can also be slotted into other Light Machine decks that want to make use of Cyber Emergency, particularly Drytrons. Say you run a Cyber Dragon Core or two to get better access to Emergency. Then once the Core is on the field you can link it off with a spare Drytron module to bring out Sieger which can now supercharge your Drytron bosses. Also, flavor wise; given how well Drytrons also play with the Cyber Angels, it gives a very fun image of Alexis/Asuka making use of a few of Zane's cards in her own deck XD
You guys think Zane ruin his character when he went straight up bad boy some seasons later. Because we’ve seen Zane’s character, and he’s mature, a lone wolf, and somewhat stoic but still friendly guy who cares for his friends, but he straight up went from a cool likable character, to a really hated sadistic punk biker man.
I love this Theme ever since Tag force 1. There was almost nothing that was able to compete against the eldritch horror levels of ATK a Chimeratech Overdragon that got summoned by the Future Fusion + Overlast fusion combo.
Galaxy solider combo should have probably been mentioned as well as being the other premium target of cyber repair plant. other than that this video was great. I loved your own personal takes as well as all the little name jokes. I honestly think the deck needs another monsters that puts up disruption going first...maybe an extender that summons Cyber dragon from deck/GY or The BANISHMENT(stupid name)
In my deck I also use a quick play spell card Duality. This card switches light or dark attribute monsters for same type and Lv, but different attribute monster in the extra deck. So OG C.dragon for Rampage, Buffed Fortress for Twin, or Megafleet for End and all during the same BP. I even use Gizmek Orochi for easy access to Twin. Try it out 😊
Whenever I got the random chance to play in locals over the past 3 years, I'd not have much in the new card department. So I'd fall back on CyDra. I'd always give people a run for their money. I love this deck. Worth mentioning, Megafleet providing an out to a monster in a way that couldn't be countered is game-breaking, especially in the days of Gouki Extra Link.
22:28 that effect should have been "you can special summon a "cyber dragon" monster from your hand deck, or GY, ignoring its summoning conditions" 28:58 Zane Trusedale explained teaser? 32:05 is this a new card?! 53:20 all the heros up to the publication date

Your name is Zane? Huh. The level modulation effects are underrated, they're useful when options are limited, and can make for funny Xyz turbo plays (classic Cyber Dragon + Viers + Drei = Dvighorzak, King of Heavy Industry). Clockwork Night makes Fortress Dragon completely broken, since it equals a non-destructive boardwipe with a monster attached.
The Cyber Style still goes strong today, with the ability to break boards without a telegraph being an incredible trait in a modern deck. Right now, I'm collecting the cards I need to build a Dimension Shifter variant, which has synergy with Cyberload Fusion.
is it just me or does Cyber Eternity Dragon seem to be Cyber End Dragon's counterpart, being designed for a powerful defense instead of a powerful offence? like you could argue it is to answer the question, what if their boss was designed for defense rather than offense
I think I went up against an overdragon with like 10k attack, I was running a rikka/Aroma deck so I had over 9k hp. They summoned it, I tribute with teardrop, and then they surrendered.
I like how you could technically (if you're a masochist) choose to summon Cyber Dragon Infinity using 3 copies of Cyber Laser Dragon. The way konami intended it.
Cyber dragon with rampage on field...use to dump nachster and OG cyber dragon...XYZ with Cydra and rampage for Nova, detach rampage as cost to revive nachster...nachster revives rampage and dump Herz and core...Herz adds core to hand...good follow up next turn. End board is Infinity and rampage...u can use infinity eff to absorb nachster.
@@bibigamer502nope, cyberdark strategy unga bunga otk isn't the pure cyber dragon strategy. In fact they haven't had a single good LIGHT fusion to make with cyberload fusion in...well ever

the 'same name during deckbuilding' is the stupidest, most nonsensical decision in YGO. Whoever made that call for that Heroes card should never be allowed to make a decision ever on any topic

Wouldn't be the first time a GX "dragon" got turned into a Synchro.
Okay technically the light/dark ends aren't retrains but still.
While it’s not a synchro Cyber Assault Dragon from the Rush variant was technically a retrain version of Laser

My favorite Fusion deck with heroes coming a close second. We need a Cyber Polymerization. Do it Konami.
Cyber Dragons will forever be my pet deck next to Earth Machines. Will never forget the memories of having the Cyber Dragon Revolution Structure going against Hero's Strike during the high school days.
My heart and soul! I will forever love this deck no one will ever understand!
Anyone who loves the cyber style will easily understand
GoldenNovaYugioh I loved your explanation of cyber dragon infinity and the origin of infinite impermanence.
I remember Chimeratech Fortress fondly as being a clean out to Towers, since being a Machine type monster was one of its few weaknesses.
Cyber dragon really needs retrains or new consistency cards. We for sure need that link 1
