After the first successes of the first community of believers (610-634), led by the prophet Muhammad and Abû Bakr, followed an impressive expansion.
In less than two decades (634-651), the Muslims will defeat two great empires (Byzantines/Sassanids) and conquer an immense region (Syria, Egypt, Iraq/Iran).
