Find people that need help and provide it to them. This is called a value exchange and luckily for you most people will exchange money in return for you solving a problem/need for them.
Go out and clean windows, clear gutters, learn a skill you can monetise Just do something and you might get somewhere

I was about to mention exactly this. Now this is real fucking sad cause I am 28 and not low 20s, but having a good night out is exactly what gives me happiness; the feeling of being included, and not to mention female attention now that I've gotten into better shape
Video games however is that easy fallback that I have a struggle avoiding whenever I get bored. It numbs the anxiety and gives me this goal that pretends to be productive. It hijacks all of my productivity by being a bit more fun than whatever else I could do

I've done all these things over the past 10 years. Read all except one of the book's you mentioned. Tony Robbins book totally changed my life for the better. Got fitter by learning to run, increased distances over time & ran over 8 marathons & one ultra marathon 62km. Bought my own house in the countryside in North West Ireland. So true hanging around with average people will only give you an average life. To the next level we need personal challenges & goals to improve our body & minds & overall self worth. So true about not finding like minded people in your own home town. When I say I'm going to do a thing, people think I'm mad. Yet when I achieve & surpass that goal you can see the envy in their eyes. Most people that go to college stop learning & investing in themselves, then the wonder why their wife/girlfriend leaves them or they feel crap within themselves. Mind-set is everything.
Exercise for me is bodybuilding & martial arts - aikido
I'm creative - I play guitar, piano & drums, compose music, write poetry & stories
Reading is really important I like biographies of people who have inspired me growing up, so when they mention a book, habit etc I take note of these things & implement them in my own life.
Such a pity they don't teach this stuff in school. Kids would have a better head start in life knowing how real life truly works.

I've been saying similar things regarding alcohol & weed for years. It makes people complacent & content with their current situation. People spend their entire 20s in shitty, run down, pubs. But, are content with their life due to the effects of alcohol. The same goes for weed, instead of working & getting ahead early in life, growing to a position where they can finance higher tier experiences the world offers. People are comfy to sit in their homes, smoking weed, re-watching episodes of the same show they've seen a thousand times before.
Both substances are merely vices people use to mask the reality that they are underachieving, and throwing away opportunities the modern world & technology has offered them.

When reading, I like to combine self help with a lot of fiction. Most people will say bland statements such as “reading novels is just like watching a film it’s a waste of time” n all this bullshit. But I’ve found when reading self help books, they are usually formatted the way in which a novel is. Whilst in novels you may not be taught a lesson as simple as “subdivide tasks for productivity”, this same lesson may be blended into the story and the characters. One of the best ‘self improvement-esque’ novels I’ve found is one called the way of kings by Brandon Sanderson. I’m not trying to convince anyone to my way of thinking, but I just find more value out of novels as they make for more substantial reads. If you haven’t before I recommend you at least try a novel.

I watched it 2 days ago and it really inspired me to take action right away.
The timing couldn't be more perfect as yesterday was my birthday.
The best gift I've given myself is the commitment to become even better version of myself before my next birthday.
There's so much I want to do with my life and few things were holding me back.
But since yesterday - no more "holding me back" things in my life.
One of my commitments is that I'll eat only healthy & nutritious food for a next year + I'll exercise daily.
I'll also take my business to the next level with working on it CONSISTENTLY every single day.
I'm leaving this comment to say thank you and to get back to it as the point of reference.
    I'll share results after 1 Aug 2023.
Good luck for others who made big decisions about their lives.

    Let's EVOLVE! 🚀

    • @User1flfl
      @User1flfl 2 роки тому

@@outlander234 New age nonsense? This mindset is old, VERY old. Embracing your masculinity is something the western society has kinda just blocked out the last couple decades but has thrived in other parts of the world FOREVER. Constantly improving yourself emotionally and physically is something all men need nowadays. The wide majority of teenagers and young adults have no guidance, even if they do its improper guidance. I know so many teenagers that are hooked on percs, xanx, weed, and alcohol and its being normalized more and more. Ffs when I was in alternative school the teachers would let the students vape and smoke their thc pens while the teacher just sat there and watched and did absolutely nothing. Society's norm is changing into something that's terrifying. Young men around me would rather shoot each other then punch each other a few times and shake hands afterwards. There's no guidance, especially in high crime areas where everybody is either working 2-3 jobs, stealing, or scamming. Bowing down to a society that's brainwashing and manipulating tf out of you is nothing less the stupid. And working a "decent job" is miserable, you're never financially free, you can't go on vacation whenever you want, there's zero passive income, it's stupid. Any man above the age of 30 should be financially free and if they aren't, they did it wrong. There's literally 1000s of different ways to set on your couch in do virtually nothing while making more money then you can handle. Your whole mindset is terrible but nonetheless I wish you the best.

I think it's good to go out and party 18-21 because I noticed the mates who didn't get that out of their system are now trying to make up for those missed experiences 30+ and it's not good. First of all, if you don't party when young you can't make it up later, it's just not the same. Also most people have moved on at 30+ and having a sort of mid life crisis because you didn't get it out of your system can really derail your life later. Also I find the guys who didn't do the partying phase tend to be more boring and awkward as they've just worked their 9-5 and been a good boy and don't have exciting experiences to build on. That being said it does need to stop by mid 20's or it ends up being a problem. doesn't mean no get togethers or new year eve partys but it's time to move on.

I had to subscribe right away bro. I’ve only seen a few of your videos so far but man I was like, I love this man! 🤙😂
I’ve been on a journey myself!
My big problem was weed though, not alcohol
Never got into any hard drugs at least, I was able to give up alcohol and cigarettes pretty easily
But weed was a real problem for me
Feels good to no longer need it
I’ve gotten super in shape and I can definitely attest to everything you’ve said about getting really fit and loving it
It’s unreal what you can do when you set your mind to changing and actually take it into action

Wow Jack you really hit the nail there for me as an explanation for p*rn use. “Youre using it to medicate the life you hate “ right now im about 3 weeks free from p*rn using easyway to quit (rewrite of alan carr by Fraser Patterson). But I was still scared that i might fall back into using but you just made it clear to me that i dont have to anymore because in 3 weeks ive noticed so much more generall happiness amd confidence and energy. Honestly thanks mate youre an absolute legend💪💪

If you could take your time and read this it would be greatly appreciated.
I believe porn is the same thing possibly even worse. That stuff has taken my drive and my soul. I’ve been trying to kick it for years and I just can’t seem to quit fully. I don’t get joy out of things anymore. I’m numbed. I’m 19 and I’ve had sex with 6 women. I’m not a loser but this one habit is a secret of mine that I am trying to battle alone. My friends all think porn is normal and “that’s just what guys do” but I know it’s not. If anyone can give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated. I’ve watched every video in the book on it, I’ve gotten deep into Christianity but I just can’t seem to kick it. I want to change desperately but it has numbed my mind so badly that I feel paralyzed to even get to work on quitting and changing the habits. This shit is eating me alive. Not trying to complain I’m just a man desperate for help and answers. Thanks.

if you haven't watched any of hamza's videos i suggest you to watch! in one of his video about getting rid of bad habits he said you cant lose bad habits overnight. you have to lose it gradually like if you watch porn 3 times a day make it once a day for like week then make it once every other day next week and so on and dont be disheartened when you lose because you are improving and you and made a mistake and its okay you will get it right next time " is what i got from that video hope it helps and do the hard things especially when you dont want to 😘

@@pizzathief8002 that sometimes work and sometimes it doesn’t I don’t feel that’s a effective way at least not everyone, it might help but a lot of people tried that and it didn’t work just saying also home boy don’t get caught up in bingeing self Improvement vids like hamza the short ones watch them and then implement the work

    • @averageillegalmemesdealer
      @averageillegalmemesdealer 2 роки тому +1

Realize it's not easy and that habits are literally designed in such a way that they make you *want* to do something, even if it's bad or detrimental to your long term goals. Mindfulness helps with this. It makes you realize that “want” is relative and that what you want changes with whom you become. Lastly, read Atomic Habits. If you meditate frequently enough, and gain experience on your emotional and thought patterns, and then apply the habit deconstruction & replacement methods mentioned in the book, you'll have a much easier time getting off of it. Keep a journal on your progress, devote yourself to figure out the best way for you to quit. That's the best things I can suggest. Good luck.

I‘m in a dilemma rn, i just started dual studying fitness economics and fitness training 3 months ago, and i‘m out there 13 hours a day not having any time nor energy to put in my own businesses nor goals that i wanna build and achieve.
I‘m not the biggest guy alive but i could sell myself and my story on the internet and i‘m good asf at coaching and have aaaalooot of knowledge when it comes to training science and so on.
I don‘t have any savings and im 20 (almost 21)
I wanna risk it an quit my study and work on building up my business, online coaching, instagram, youtube and so on.
Not only fitness related but also self improvement and spiritualty guides for young men just like you.
I would love and appreciate a response of you it would mean the world to me.
Either here in the comments or joining your tribe (idk how)

Great explanation of the truth of alcohol. This is how I felt but with weed. It stole my ambition, drive, and passion for the times I was using aswell as allowed me to be okay in lower level situation and people. That is not bad but in my situation, it did not help me

Quitting alcohol rn. I will keep updates. This weekend I have had 20 pints of beer and I claim I dont drink much because I dont drink daily. But I think 2 days of 10 pints and getting hammered is worse than 2-3 beers daily per evening. However I am gonna go for 0 beers

Like me at 18 i got my first hangover, now im 29 i looked so much youbger to others that others think that im 23 years funny ... not for me woman thinks so too, but anyway im proud not drinking alcohol, smoking anything, i dont partying i save that money to invest, i eat healthy saving money from dump things for investing, and funny part of this is.. all my work collegues say at the end of the month that they are broke.. while i paid my new car (20k ) in nearly 3 years and i got some descent money for make an technician education course, bad side: my ex left after 10 years saying im to boring im anti social (i traveled with her 1 per year and every weekend to a hot tube spa, every 2 week viaiting her family after 2 shift work)... so bye for her and now more growth... i started training like before the relationship, eating more healthier, make a little youtube side hustle, educate myself more into finance, new look, growing beard, exercise for **** (im serious its already b*, but sex workout is like normal training)... as you said getting mental fit is like a bright side on the other side of tunnel 💪💪

Just stumbled across this guy . Well impressed . Most of my young life involved drinking and partying and hanging round with below average people . But i never had the sense or attitude to dig myself out of it . Probably did it for about 20 years :'( . Impressed at how wise some young people can be and how the learnt and activated the process to improve their lives . I'm 46 now and have definately learnt the hard way but my mortGage is nearly paid off . i'm self employed and earning good money and i can feel i'm getting there . But krikes has been a long process LOL
