  • Interesting technology for producing turned features on a CNC milling machine - Interpolation Turning!
    - Machine large parts with turned features without rotating the part
    - "Turn" flange faces, bosses and bores in pipe valve bodies for example
    - Produce irregular profiles with single point turning tools

Beautiful tool path, hopefully NX will come out with this type toolpath soon

Hello, which NX parametric tool do you use for toolpath generation at the time 2:50? I see that finel ISV/CSE simulation does use 3D solid turning tool, but NX does not allow to use that type of tool cannot be used for milling operation. Thank you in advance for response

How to show 3D tool in toolpath simulation?

They forgot to mention it destroys your machine…The amount of abuse and the damage the ball screws takes is not worth it..takes years off ya machine 😊

Who cares. Make a part 5 times faster make 6 times and much money and buy 4 new machines once that one is worn out. No machine is gonna last forever so you might as well make some money.

@@loganjetton6134 what parts can make 5x faster with interp turning you would just put it on a VTL or a large slant

That's in a mill. Not a lathe. Mills interpolate like that non stop. The special sauce is in the spindle orientation. This is actually sick.
