Me encanta tu proyecto 😍, mi madre falleció el año pasado y tengo guardada mucha ropa suya para hacer algo de recuerdo y creo que una colcha como la que tienes ahora sería perfecta 😊

What a lovely quilt. Since it is only a top, dismantle the blocks and re-epp the whole thing. Just doing a section at a time with the blocks sets would be best instead of fiddling with the whole top. And with it together there's a possibility of missing a seam.

How sweet of you to take your time restoring this quilt top. It's probably as old a I am, but it has less holes lol. I look forward to following your progress. like the other commenter wondering if you would be better off using a cotton, it's only what I've picked up watching other patchworkers,EPPers. Take care

It’s beautiful! And how lovely to finish it after all this time. I don’t have experience restoring quilts, but I wonder about the polyester thread. It’s very strong and the stitching will be very strong, but that might mean the fabric itself will rip with age/stress instead? If the stitching rips, it could be repaired again someday but the fabric ripping would be harder to repair? I hesitated before commenting but since the video is only two days old maybe you haven’t gotten too far? Either way please ignore me if you disagree of course! Just thought I’d share since I was reading a blog the other day where someone was comparing different threads for EPP.

Thank you for commenting and I absolutely don't mind you commenting. I think its a divided opinion about polyester thread, I have also heard about people worrying about the thread wearing the fabric away but then alot of EPP people love using superior bottom line thread which is polyester, so I think its all down to personal choice. I like how thin and strong polyester thread is and mainly I decided to use what I had on hand and that is totally what the original maker of this quilt did. It is all a learning curve aswell, I will just be happy that this quilt gets the light of day.
Thank you so much for tuning in!
