I just did similar swap with f20c from s2000. I kept 4wd transfer case and s2000 gauge cluster. My samurai is a whole new beast.
I’m inexperienced with engine swaps, but looking to swap the engine on my Geo Tracker. Is it possible to swap & still keep 4wd?

Yes I still kept transfer case. Had to move back and relocate transfer case mounts and custom make driveshafts. It is amazing

Greetings from Florence, Italy I own a 2001 Suzuki Jimny 4x4 with m13a 1.3L petrol engine. All original that I use on dirt country roads. I also use it on farm and mountain tracks and on country roads when they are completely covered in snow! For me, the Suzuki Jimny is a good off-road vehicle which, due to its small off-road dimensions, is superior to the nissan patrol 4x4s which are limited mastodons in off-road compared to the Suzuki Jimny 4x4 which due to its small and compact size moves better off-road than any larger off-road vehicle such as the Land Rover Defender 4x4!

I'm doing a G16B turbo engine for my Samurai. I've got forged rods. I'm having some CP forged pistons made with an 8.8:1 compression ratio. I have a source for a forged crank. It gets expensive real quick when you start swapping in forged pieces. My max HP target is 200. I'm going to start with a fairly modest 10 PSI limit. I really want to build a durable motor that holds up for a long time.
Forgot to mention I'm going to be using a Haltech 1500 so I can do sequential fuel injection and a coil per cylinder. The Haltech will give my all of the flexibility I need to do the turbo tuning properly.
Hi,btw which transmission are you gonna be using,I'm planning on the same swap but my Sammy has a 4 speed manual and I ant to change it to Honda transmission but I want the 4wd to work along with that.

I love this so much. I have a Samurai with 30's and a 4" lift, and believe me when I say the modified G13 engine that clatters away under my hood can start to make it feel sketchy. And it doesn't have half the power that K20 does. Amazing. I bet with that stock ride height, that yellow sami is a hoot to drive.

I Bought a 2002 SJ413 LWB as a project car, followed by another cause it had better body for parts and I daily drive a 12 year old Civic 4 Door Sedan (Auto, yes it's my Mon-Fri Car)... now the divergent thoughts won't stop... certainly helps validate the theory; all because of the efforts you put in towards making this video... I guess the project can start in couple of years... in the meantime will try to get the SJ413 (off)road-worthy

What drive-train upgrades have you done? Besides the s2000 trans. I own a Jimny and nobody does cool swaps because the driveline is apparently weak but the Sierras are different??

We cant be specific with the k20 engine , honda used it in many car models , and if you dont understand the details in the description then its not the right video for you to watch

the adapter is from jsp and the tunnel was custom , the transmission couldnt fit

honda n/a engines are THE MOST UNINSPIRED choice for use on OFFROAD car, mostly doe to notorious lack of low and medium rpm torque and being complete dead engine before 4500rpm.
In fact, honda n/a engines are ok only for motorcycles or grass cutting tools.
ps: That type R which came with k20 from factory was famous in our country because ALWAYS LOOSE ANY RACE against ANY car of @200bhp 😂. They always loose. But i think that k20 is from a s2000... which was THE ONLY HONDA CAR which have sense and is not handicapated by fwd transmission too.
The engine produces 240nm of torque at 2000 rpm ,cant say there's lack, its always the same at any rpm , for the rest of the world the engine became famous for greater reasons from what you describe
Honda engines are not as bad as people say. The BIG reason why Honda engines have gotten a reputation for low torque is that Honda has tended to use rather small displacement engines in relatively large cars. They have also tried to get the HP of a bigger engine from a smaller engine. And an engine like the K20 will NEVER have the torque of a larger displacement engine with the same HP (at least not NA). But if you compare the dyno curve of a K20 with any other 2.0 liter engine, you will see that it is not bad even at low RPMs. It’s just that, when it comes to torque, two liters is just two liters.

We put a 4age 1.8 out of a ae86 added a borgwarner 65mm turbo and put it in a 2 door flatbed hilux and kept the 4wd transfer case and built a 4 link suspension for the rear goes hard
