My heart hurts so much for her. Loving an addict and having to choose your own mental health and well being over them because of their disease is such a hard and painful thing that I’ve lived through and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. She is a strong person.

the song “off the table” from the positions album is also probably about moving on and trying to find love after mac’s death. the first verse sounds like it’s directly addressed to him.

another lyric that hits me hard on that track is “do i sit this one out and wait for the next life?” i truly cannot imagine how difficult it was for her to lose him.
