- Another one on Terry's Vistalite kit. This version of Sick Again is from MSG, New York, Feb 12 1975. Another example of Bonzo driving the beat, playing very "on top".

It's easier for me to do the hi-hat thing with my left. This is one of the heaviest Zep songs. Way ahead of It's time.
Agree.
Prob my favorite live song and one of my fave Bonham songs
This is the tune I used to try and get my bandmates to get more into Led Zeppelin so they could understand my mind. Sadly..... it didn't work.
been there !!!!@@broeheemed32
Even better when Bonham added more jazz influence and heaviness during the live versions. George captures that very well here.
This song is so much better live
👍🏼
Always cool "seeing" what Bonham created as opposed to just hearing...thx one of my favs
Love seeing how bonzo drummed your the best. The way he played so much feel and grove its insane. I think hes the greatest musician ever.
Outstanding ! Congratulations George
BIG tom sound!
Thank you! Extremely accurate. I'm a big Bonzo fam and have learned from your video
You are Bonham himself, drum tech, sound man, videographer, historian and editor( all in one) George!
Thanks for this!
Thank you!
Only one word for your performance really -- Impeccable!!!
You have Bonham down really well. Sounds excellent
P.S. George the two Tea Party recordings with TWO bass drums are now on youtube .
This looks busy...and hard to get right George! Excellent job as always....
Thanks!
Damn you always surprise me man!!!!
So damn good, i think i've watched almost all your cover videos man, im a fan of Bonzo myself, 22 years old and have a band, trying to incorporate Bonham style on our songs, and you have been so helpfull man thank you for that, much love ❤
Also, if im allowed to request a song to you to cover, i think you haven't done that one, No Quarter Live at London, England, for me this live performance its their best no quarter JPJ and Bonham jam session, you know in the middle of the song, and there are some parts where i just can't figure out what is bonham doing man but it sounds so damn goooood, i trully believe you could play that exactly as he did, you'd make me a happy man again since i requested How many more times at Denmark and u did played it.
His sound in this version its just so good man, but anyway, keep up the good work and playing man, i love you from Mexico ❤
Outstanding George, specially the part right before the solo starts 👍🏻
Thanks!
Impeccable.
Brilliant George
👏
The fills Bonzo used here made this a lot pleasing to listen to!
Spot on again sick again George Bonham awesome 👏 cool 😎
I just travelled back into time
LIKE 101
👍🏼🍿🥁🎉
So well played...
Fantastic! Compliments
Smokin!
Man you are so frigging good
The best
we need to join you up with Mr Jimmy.
We have met, never played together . Very nice dude. I saw him playing with Jason a few years ago in Michigan
Was lucky enough to see & hear them play this at the Chicago Stadium in ‘77. You’ve really perfected Bonham’s style. When did you start playing? You should be proud of what you’ve accomplished.
George just like the very first time I saw you playing drums in Terry’s basement so many years ago that was Sick Again. PS glad somebody remembered they toured in 75. Lol.
Wow!!!!! Amazing display of Bonhams groove , feel , and technique!!! I think I will play the kazoo!!! 🤘🏻
In local news, a tornado touched down today as seen in the video at approximately 1:27 Of the many astonished onlookers, not a single one was hurt! 🤪
Great drumming, and, great sounding drums 👍🏼🥁
Nice! 🤘🏻🥁
Great job George. Like the 6's you did from snare down the toms and between snare and cymbals. Very cool. Thanks.
Thanks!
Oh brother sending you much love and respect.
5:14 of my life well spent! Thx George!
Some tasty Fathers Day goodness. Thanks mate.
😊😊
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
BadAss as usual!!! Got a request if possible? Foghat Slow ride!
Thanks for the suggestion
This is just grown man drummin' right here my friend! Outstanding as usual, George! That triplet fill at the 1:28 mark, it's just incredible, unbelievably good how Bonzo played this! Even though I am much more partial to The Wanton Song, and The Rover, and wished they would've played these on tour more, every time I see you cover this one, or watch Earls Court or the Knebworth video of this, I have a greater appreciation of just how much of a beast this song is. Love Bonzo! ✌️❤️🥁
Thanks Dave, yeah this is a showpiece for Bonzo's style
Ha!! Georgie! It’s much too early in the morning for that incredible cymbal blasting!!!!!’ Wow!!! Dig it
😂 👍🏼
Excellent!!!
Amazing!!!🔥⚡🔥
Sweet 😊🥁👍
Great again George. Love it.
Yes!! 🔥💯🔥
So awesome! Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🥁
Phenomenal. Can you do a video breaking down the snare/crash cymbals fill break?
I think it is in my Physical Graffiti part 2 video, when I discuss this song, I'll check.
ua-cam.com/video/JsKT79tCVb8/v-deo.html
I discuss it here at 55 min mark through about 59 mins.
Excellent... Sounded great...
Great playing and I love that kit! 😎
Love the sound of those Vistalites!
Thanks George, tremendous!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥
Well done once again. You make it look easy, but it ain't.
Dude, everything about what you're doing here on your UA-cam channel is to be highly praised and commended, to be sure... but if you could ever cop Bonzo's rarefied riding feel (especially on hi hat), you'd be completely there!... I hope you don't mind my saying.
Forgive me if you had mentioned this before-are these amber jewels yours, Terrys? How old? I see six lug rack? Rounded or square badge? Added rim bass legs. Just outstanding sounding. Wonderful job playing. Rob
that was KICK-ASS.
I would love to listen for your drum covers of March 27th 1975 concert in LA. It has so much the longest versions of song, it would be interesting to see you play them.
Thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey geo5ge, you ever play any ludwig centennial.drums? (Made in Taiwan) curious and have been asking several people who may have. Its better to get word from a real experienced usa ludwig nut
No , I haven't. Terry ( Bonzoleum) would be good to ask.
You ever do any from black crows and jimmy page led zep stuff?
No, I haven't. I'm not so familiar with them.
@@BONHAMOLOGY black crows and Jimmy Page did led zep songs. Live at the greek
@@donknotts5625 Yes I've seen and heard the collaboration. I'm just not that familiar with it.
Hi. Question, what’s the microphone behind you to the left? What overhead microphone are you using. Thanks sounds great 👍
Thanks, I was experimenting with using a Shure KSM 137 as a room mic there.
@@BONHAMOLOGY Sounds good from here
Beautiful playing George! That fill on 1:30 is sick 😅 would be much appreciated if you can break it down sometime. It appears on WLL in MSG..
PS
I think that Bonzo doesn’t get much credit for his hi hat tricks and ghost notes. He was so funky and jazzy when performing live
Cheers
If you are on Instagram I just posted it, however you can find it here in the comments. I put a link to it because someone else asked about it. I covered it as part of my physical graffiti PT 2 video. Thanks!
@@BONHAMOLOGY I’ve just checked it on the instagram, 🥁 👑
thanks for everything ! 🙏🏼
