This music comes from the best jazz pop from the 80’s.. I can notice a bit of Michael Franks, Masayoshi Takanaka, Lee Ritenour… And The way you put that vibes into your style is superb. I love it!
Yall are going to have your minds blown by the number of bands on GHOST BOX Records out of the uK. The Focus Group, Belbury Poly, The Advisory Circle, and more. Look up these titles for Italian film composers that most of this references: " Why Is This Amazing? - Italian Film Soundtracks of the 60's and 70's" "Beyond Morricone: The World of Italian Film Scores" "Giro Giro Tondo! A Primer on Italian Film Soundtracks" And a bonus track: Loredana Bertè - In alto mare (Special Video)
This song is so densely and brilliantly produced- it’s like an entire albums worth of music packed into one song. Paired with some of the greatest visuals I’ve ever seen! Killer outro too!(=
I think this is fantastic and right away the vocal melody reminded me of something, took me a minute to remember what it was and it’s “love and mercy” by Brian Wilson. Haven’t seen anyone else mentioned this yet, it’s practically a one-to-one match for the vocal melody, but it doesn’t detract from the song at all, this is truly fantastic, just thought it was worth mentioning. Anyway thanks, this is one of the best songs I’ve heard in awhile.
this song discovery just caught me very wonderfully off-guard, this sound is incredible the music video is fantastic, this music feels like it has brought into a warm inviting room
Okay the chord progression at the start had me thinking this was a cover and I couldn't get it out of my mind. I think I landed on three songs it sorta makes "musical quotations" from, along the lines of leit/motif and reference, both in chord progression and rhythms employed: James Taylor "Mexico' Joni Mitchel "Big Yellow Taxi" Paul Simon "Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyard" There's a couple other hits of "quotation" in the chorus and bridge that I've heard directly out of citypop/j-fusion that are hard to place specifically, but they're there and I love them. Love your work! Just sharing my thoughts, not playing 'gotcha'. Good times. ;) Try a little more zany/disco like late-70's STRYX out of Italy and (Loredana Bertè - "In alto mare") with the wacky solos and a little more thrust in the hips.
The vocal melody is pretty much a straight lift from love and mercy by Brian Wilson, not that I’m bothered by that but that was the first thing I thought of, this is still a fantastic track though
Gen Hoshino(星野源), a top Japanese actor and musician, has played this song on the radio as one of his favorites. I love it too!!
This feels like remembering the taste of an ice cream flavor they don't make anymore.
There's some good in this world
How lucky are we to live in a world with Pearl and the Oysters. We don't deserve oysters, let alone a pearl.

the musicianship, the vibes, the colors, this makes me so happy 🥰
This is really amazing. It’s indie/alternative, but also satisfies my appetite for funk/jazz/fusion. Drums are slamming. Great work.
What a wonderful surprise.
Music that's up there with Komeda.. Stereolab, The Cardigans and Broadcast. I can't wait to hear what else they have in store for us.
Check out bands Modular and Le Futur Pompiste if you haven't already.
You might like Eggstone & Melody's Echo Chamber.

Let me know when they miss
You’d be waiting in vain
You better lie down.
They missed
I wouldn’t follow these bands too much, they are role models in the studio not outside it, comprende?
Right ? Lol
Vibes for days!

I believe most chord progressions are public domain. the chorus chord progression alone is used by a lot of artists.
@@smithjedediah I immediately thought of Your Smiling Face by James Taylor
