Ironlak Family at Rehlhatna in Dubai - World’s Longest Graffiti Scroll

- In November 2014, as the people of the United Arab Emirates were gearing up to celebrate their 43rd year as a country, the Ironlak Family set off towards the Middle East from their respective corners of the globe. In Dubai the Lak Fam joined over 100 artists from around the world in an ambitious attempt to set a new world record for the “World’s Longest Graffiti Scroll”.
Titled ‘Rehlhatna’, meaning ‘Our Journey’, the main feature of the event was a ridiculously long canvas on Jumeirah Beach which was stretched into the shape of the country. The artists were asked to create work which reflected the past, present and future achievements of the UAE.
On the final day, an official judge from Guinness World Records measured out the scroll at 2245.4 metres and declared the new world record set.
Big ups to TUESY for making this happen for us. Huge thanks go to Sameh, Eddy and the rest of the crew for executing on this crazy vision and the Crown Prince of Dubai for making it a reality.
Greetings to all of the artists who we had the privilege of sharing the canvas with. It was an honour to meet you all we hope meet again some day, somewhere.

Great video on street Art in the making, loved the music background quirky, typical and funny. Ironlak his was a challenge but you won! Where is it possible to see this scroll nowadays, Did it stay in Dubai? Where can it be seen?The idea was great to give you all to make it happen....incredible in some cities they are still painting over street Art!Maybe people should be educated about this...I considered it a Real Art expression, time to change people!!

Art is essentially a form of expressing yourself to its entirety without restraint or restriction, therefore Graffiti has a significant place in art as well as art in graffiti. I can't speak on Graff artist per say though I do know it is a way of culture and should definitely be acknowledge, And respected, but it does go hand in hand with self-expression(art). Expressing yourself through means of pure creativity is art.

Why Doesent "rasko" join the ironlak team?
i think rasko doesn't want limelight or anything we can also see that when he and SOFLES do a colab during an event(i forgot what is it just check here in YT) his face is being blurred unlike SOFLES. for me i like that type of artist just having great art but stay hidden(underground) but still big respect to all artist who participate in this event. KUDOS!!

TrendArts some of known artist are being sponsored by Montana so if rasko is being sponsored by it then their is conflict between the two sides right? or is it ok being sponsored by both Montana and Ironlak knowing their business is in the same road? for me i like both Rasko and Sofles and i rather see Rasko doing what he does best! but still i want him to do more dope arts coz its been a while seen i saw here last post :(

Show acho lindo esses desenhos, e tenho um sonho de fazer grafiiti. Sempre quis fazer um curso, mais em Maceió AL não existe escolas e nem professores. Já sou desenhista é um dom que Deus me deu e o melhor não gosto de cópia desenhos e sim criar desenhos já mais visto ou feito... gosto de usar a imaginação e fazer coisas que outras pessoas ainda não fizeram, vou no SENAC ver se tem curso de grafiiti. mais acho que não vai ter... mais vou tentar, é muito bonito é showwwwwwww
