This movie came out 3 years ago and when i watch this trailer i still get chills when Maz Katana says "the force is calling to you... Let it in"

I know this is an old video, but I reacted the same way with the trailers. Although the story wasn't done very well (in my opinion), watching this in imax 3d was such an experience, seeing the x-wings fighting tie-fighters in 3d was unbelievable (the scene when they skim across the water and poe goes mental on them lol)
I've seen it over a dozen times. I don't usually get emotional but I was teary eyed when I first watched this trailer. The music and all the visuals did it.

Just the fact that Episode VII even exists is like a schoolyard dream come true! I'm so excited that all of us original fans will be "going home" haha it's too beautiful for words!
::::Robert::: We finally get a definitive answer as to what happened after Return of the Jedi. I still can't believe it. From the Thrawn trilogy to acting out our own stories with our friends when we were kids. We finally will see into that world and know what became of our heroes.

A week after seeing the movie, I'm going back and watching reactions to the trailer. I love this reaction the most. I feel like I connect the most with you two and how you felt with the trailer. Feels almost like a time capsule.
Im an OG JETI. im 49 this year, i saw the original IV in theaters, for us kids then it was such a game changer to see ships moving in space. Before that all u had was the enterprise pic on the screen with red lines drawn coming out of it. Im glad so many more generations have grown to love what i saw in the 70s as awesome.
I keep coming back to these videos.

This could be the greatest trailer ever made. The combination of the perfectly timed musical cues along with just right editing and John Williams' *AMAZING* music is just the perfect package to make you want to buy tickets *immediately* (which people did to the point of crashing many online ticket sellers and absolutely *smashing* previous pre-sale records for iMAX (by 6 to 10 TIMES)).
I am prepared for our heroes to get their butts kicked in this one, and very likely one of our beloved original trilogy characters killed (watch the scene with Rey crying over someone on the ground very carefully...). This is act one of the new trilogy, so be prepared for a major cliffhanger, which, luckily, we won't have to wait too long to get partially resolved (May 2017, 5 months after "Rogue One", a prequel that tells the story of how the original deathstar plans were stolen).

:::Robert::: Everything you just said is exactly how we both feel. This is going to be the jump start of a franchise bigger than any other franchise in history. The emotion behind this chapter of the saga will be tremendous. They will have no problem with keeping the fans wanting more and more.
I really wish more studios would construct their trailers this way. There is no reason to riddle your trailer with spoilers. Imagine knowing the ending of Sixth Sense from the trailer.
As said before by many fans, Disney's marketing execution is running at a genius level. As fans, we are in for a long run of pure Star Wars love.

How can a single trailer get people so emotional?! It's unreal! Tears will be shed in the theater, for sure!
+ChuckS117 for ALOT of people its pure and pure nostalgia. The trailer is also made to basically show everything and nothing at the same time. That is really hard to do. In my opinion it feels completely like its going to deliver and thats whats made me emotional. The hobbit trailer for example didnt do it it for and the movies under delivered. Lets hope it answers to the crowd!

Venessa. You're the first person in a reaction trailer that correctly referred to RoTJ as the movie where the Falcon does that roll (During the ramp up to the attack on the second Death Star. Well played. Most people incorrectly say ESB in the asteroid field. Loved your reaction throughout.

after watching over two dozen reaction videos, Vanessa IS THE ONLY FAN who noticed the Millennium Falcon's swing was similar to her swing through the rebel fleet in Return Of The Jedi (which was also similar to the swing through the asteroid field in The Empire Strikes Back).

Luke was there for a second...the shot with R2...the metal hand reaching out....no-one sees it.

It's nothing new from what we've seen already.
There was no C3PO with his red arm either. Luke was in the clip were he placed his hand atop of R2's Dome. I believe he will get like 5-10 mins of screentime in this movie. Think he'll get more run in episodes 8 &9 (maybe)
I understand they want us to get use to the new cast,..but I don't want to lose anyone from the original cast in the process just cause their older doesn't mean they should get thrown away. They made us care about them & this saga. Thats what this new cast must do with a lending "Han" to guide them in nicely. Just hope Ford don't finally get his wish to bite the bullet like he wanted in Jedi.(Perhaps thats why he only agreed to come back.). ( = ( )

Well we see Rey crying over someone. Some say Finn, I say the Big Wookie being his right arm is bandage in the trailer and there was early sketches with him dawning a metal arm. But it could be Han had tried to save her and either got hurt or killed. After I saw Han n Leia hug,..I felt a goodbye coming. I do hope I am wrong but I know it's what Ford has wanted since filming jedi. Maybe he changed his mind since then and will make it through all 7-8-9. Hope all do. It be tough if he went in 7 But if it's heroic, ok I guess. Didn't we see the Falcon in flames near end of the trailer?? Not a good look. But a sacrafic for the greater good,..there goes your grand ending for him.

This film disappointed me in retrospect though it laid a foundation that was never realized. I loved all the trailers though. They just didn’t really represent what we got.

"An AT-AT. Definitely an AT-AT"? NOT!!!!!!! Wrong! It's a landing bay of a Star Destroyer. More than likely the Super Star Destroyer the Falcon is flying into. An AT-AT is not that big especially on the inside.
I think someones Alderaan just exploded from the death star. Lol..come on, shaking? My eyes got watery but to start shaking and shit, kinda weird.
