As much as I enjoy this trailer, its difficult to see Ewan McGregor morphing into Alec Guinness. That must of been some pretty tough years between the events of this series and A New Hope 🙄

The force is strong in this one! To hear *Duel of The Fates* and Ewan Mcgregor comes back as Obi-Wan Kenobi gives me goosebumps. Let alone the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. As a Star Wars fan, I’m lucky to grow up with the Prequel Trilogy.

It actually really fits in with this, the “Duel of the fates” is literally the duel of the fate of anakin now it is the duel for the fate of Luke

FUN FACT: Duel of the Fates was never Maul's theme.
It was the theme where the FATE of a young Force user was being decided by the Jedi and the Sith.
In the Phantom Menace, Anakin's fate was being decided when the Jedi (Obi Wan, Qui Gon Jin) fought Maul. If Maul had won, he would've taken Anakin to Palpatine. But Obi Wan won. And he took over as Anakin's teacher.
In the Obi Wan series, the fate of young Luke Skywalker will be decided by former Jedis and the Sith.
That's what DUEL OF THE FATES means. The theme is used when the fate of a key player is at stake.

I’m 22 years old and grew up with this franchise with anakin and obiwan. To see Hayden and Ewan as these characters again is so nostalgic to me. Love Star Wars.

I’m not gonna lie, I went back to the Dual of the Fates part and just cranked up my volume full blast. I wanted to hear that choir sing throughout my whole body. Chills! Goosebumps! All of it! Amazing!

I thought so too! Kinda wish Obi and Ahsoka meet again or at least he knows of her surviving from Bail, but then tells him not say anything. She is already operating as Fulcrum by now.
Ahsoka and Vader can’t interact in the Obi-Wan series. He thought she was dead until season 2 of rebels. They would feel each other’s identity through the force, which is exactly how it happened in rebels

I'm a casual Star Wars fan. Seriously, I've only watched the films, both seasons of the Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett. But this trailer actually got me mad pumped. Especially knowing that Obi-Wan and Darth Vader are going to have a rematch.
Can I also point out how happy I am for Moses Ingram (the beautiful woman as the badass Inquisitor)? She was great as Anya Taylor-Joy's friend in The Queen's Gambit, and she definitely deserves more recognition.
What are you waiting to watch Clone Wars and Rebels then??

A few of these reactors seriously need to watch "Star Wars Rebels", read the "Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith" comic book series, and play "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" to understand who the Inquisitors are. Also, hearing “Battle of the Heroes”, “Duel of the Fates”, and “Anakin’s Dark Deeds” throughout this teaser made me cry tears of f^^^ing joy.
Yeah, I was shocked how few of them actually recognized the Inquisitors. Heresy! :D And my boy, the Fifth Brother, is getting no love. :D

When I heard Duel of the Fates, I had chills going down my spine. So much is happening with Marvel and Disney! Moon Knight, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Morbius, and Obi Wan Kenobi! The entire fandom is eating well!!😱🤩😊👊🏾
I really feel like this series is OBLIGATED to be stellar from start to end. Look what it means to people on every level, from the actors to the score. It can't have a single bad episode, this is Disneys last chance, don't pull a Boba Fett finale.

Man am i tired of people that say you should have "no expections" when all these studios do is literally make you do that with cliffhangers and missleading teasers, ... wich brings me to my next point, ... PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS done that with shows, back in the 80s, 90s, early 2000s, speculating to what could happen next epsiode or in a upcoming movie is literally NORMAL to do! Heck, we did this back in freaking elementary school in the early 2000s with shows like DragonballZ!

Duel of the Fates brings me back to summer 1999. Booting up The Phantom Menace on PC just so I could watch the Duel of the Fates music video that was included. Collecting those Pepsi cans with the Phantom Menace characters (I had all but Jar Jar and Golden Yoda).

It is incredibly important that while the inquisitors are a danger to all the normal people, and they are a danger to Ben remaining hidden, they can not be a challenge for him in a lightsaber fight. If it comes down to a duel between the jedi master and the little inquisitors with their twirly blades he needs to spank them, with prejudice, that will be why they must call in Vader.
Maul obliterated them in Rebels. If Maul can defeat them, so cam Obi Wan.

Keep in mind though...Obi Wan isn't shown with a lightsaber once throughout this trailer...even when they are shooting at him on the rooftop. He's in hiding so I expect he won't pull out his lightsaber for the vast majority of the series except maybe in flashbacks and the very end. That means the inquisitors will likely be a serious challenge for him if he can't use his lightsaber from an effort to stay hidden. That said, obviously Obi Wan is in no real danger since we already know he survives in fine health until Ep 4.

When the Grand Inquisitor with his spinning lightsaber showed up, I just screamed “INQUISITORS!” I hope they can explain how Obi-Wan managed to stay hidden despite Inquisitors knowing he was there, and how they found out.

As someone who saw A New Hope in the theater in 1977 as a kid, it's astonishing see people who weren't even alive then, who weren't even alive when Return of the Jedi came out, to maintain such love and enthusiasm for the Star Wars franchise...
