Shane, you never cease to amaze me with your teaching skills. I wish there was a GAW when I was in the work force. I'm retired and filling in all the gaps in my songs repertoire, which continues to build. Thanks!
Thank you Shane for The sound of silence, got the finger picking off, after a lot of practice, now have the full song, thanks, Russell, Halifax England
Beautiful breakdown of the song techniques. So easy to find what you need to work on and to concentrate on those, then add them all together for the entire song. As always, you make it so accessible to all talent levels. Thanks, Shane!
Agreed - It requires quite a vocal range - I have to drop down an octave for the really high parts. But.....you can also bring the capo down a couple/few frets to accommodate your voice. I did it in the original key Capo 6 for the purposes of this video - same as original recording. But....if playing/singing it I'd need to drop the capo down to 3. Cheers, Shane
Beautiful song - thanks Shane for this lesson. I look forward to your videos as I am a Beat Buddy user. Hopefully not too long for your next post as I check every Friday for your latest lesson. Cheers, Steve from Ottawa
Shane, I have been following you for some time and this is the first time I have ever commented on UA-cam videos. I think this is the best video lesson, though pretty much everything else is also excellent. I love the music and melody in this song. I can play the song in a rudimentary way (someone listening to me knew what I was playing so that was a bit of a boost for me), but repetition will improve it. I purchased the Beat Buddy and Aeros Looper over a year ago and need to start using them.
Hey thank you Peter - it really helps me to read a comment like yours.....positive feedback helps keep me on the path. Very glad you enjoyed and I appreciate you being here with us for so long - The Beatbuddy and the Aeros are a super combination. If you're worried about getting started with them just start with the Beatbuddy and add the Aeros as you start to feel comfortable enough. My best to you lad, Shane
Hey, thanks a lot for that. I really appreciate it. I’m glad you enjoyed. I I did a video for wild horses sometime ago. Here’s a link to it. Hope you enjoy. Cheers, Shane. How to play 'Wild Horses' by The Rolling Stones ua-cam.com/video/yE1H8OaTHhs/v-deo.html
Thank You For All You Do! Suggestion: Beat Buddy sounds like a great a tool and you seem to be a genuine supporter. There are no good videos out there that walk you a possible customer/buyer/user how you Initial Set Beat Buddy Up and begin using Beat Buddy. How to Get Started. Set-up and Go! For Example Initial Set Up (First Time) to Play Country Roads. Nothing! No Video on Setup. Maybe some stuff on how to use. But all a little confusing for someone who is going to drop $500 on Beat Buddy. You are a teacher and have a good way with all levels of guitar. You could be that guy to go where no man has yet to go and provide a valuable service to us all. Of course Beat Buddy should provide lavish compensation for the assistance . . . 25% discount with GAW Code which mostly goes back to you. Win-Win!
Hey, thank you Jeffrey - I am so glad you’re enjoying and I appreciate you taking the time to write. That’s a very good idea about a dedicated BeatBuddy video. My best to you! Shane.
