Tim Wakefield seemed like a real decent fellow. It's a tragedy that happened to him and later his wife. I can't imagine the grief and devastation to his two daughters. The Red Sox organization appears to be supportive, rallying around the children in their time of need.
Tim was a remarkable pitcher. As a lifelong Yankees fan, I remember full well how he wreaked havoc against my team with that knuckleball. R.I.P Mr. and Mrs. Wakefield. Godspeed to the surviving family.

I'm a Jays fan so no love lost between me and the Sox (or Yankees 😉) but I have total respect for what guys like Wakefield do on and off the field. His story is truly remarkable and tragic. Btw I hope your boys lose tonight! 😂🤣
