@@devdeepa7 The most famous family of nepo babies who are famous for being famous…
Not to even mention all of the Chet Hanks’ out there.
I left it open on purpose because listing them isn’t necessary, basically everyone has a nepo baby that has invaded their particular area of escape and dragged it down. My chosen escape is movies and TV, and quite often I see a really bad performance and I look them up just to give the benefit of doubt because even the best have a bad job on occasion, but 90% of the time the egregiously bad ones are nepo babies… Cody Horn is one such actress, she is a charismatic black hole and I just assumed she was just a bad actor that got jobs on her looks but her family are studio execs. The worst kind of nepo baby because that’s not even riding on the talent and good will of your parents, that’s just having daddy force productions to give you work. That’s a whole other level of awful. Some people might be genuinely curious about Lenny Kravits daughter and give her a chance to support her father (Zoe is great, just an example) in a sort of parasocial way, but this girls dad is just the guy in charge of making the movies… he’s the money man, if you say no to him… no movie, no jobs, no employment for hundreds of people. There’s “Oh, your dad is famous.. I’ll give you a shot, maybe talent runs in the blood.” and then there’s “Give my bland ass daughter a job or you’re fired.” and in my opinion the second one is way worse.

The problem with nepotism isn't a person simply gaining advantage or priviledge due to known or respected parents, its gaining advantage and not proving you deserve that.
It's not hard to understand that family legacy and shared traits/talents are a thing. Children of talented parents often share those latent talents. They also grow up around it, to a much greater extent than someone coming from the outside. You wouldnt accuse a young carpenter joining the 3 generation family business as nepotism. Wouldn't you want your child to follow the same path you did, if you share the same passion and love for it? Wouldn't you help them fulfil their dreams, shared or not? Lessen their burden if you are able? Big boomer mentality not wanting your children to succeed and to create a family legacy.
The hate of nepotism is a problem that people only care about at precevied higher levels, which is dumb bc while there are plenty of nepos that dont deserve the spotlight or high value positions, there are plenty of non-nepos that lucked their undeserving way into the same.

I don't think Nepo babies have to apologize even if they suck . Who said life was fair ? Money has privilege. Accept it . Fair or not .

I honestly don't care, if the kid is talented, he/she will have a career. if they're not, they will be gone in a week... we wouldn't have Kiefer Michael Douglas,Charlie Sheen... etc otherwise

Nothing wrong with being a hardworking, pleasure to work with that might be able to help line up financing and accepts the limits of their talents. But you also have to be willing to tell the people who deserve it to go to hell so they won't contaminate the good things in your life.

So, is he saying that he has little to no talent and is only in the business because his name or his parents outright got/keep him in the business? Because if he's actually talented, he's not a nepo baby ...

He probably had the type of connections in the industry at age 8, that most working actors take decades to cultivate
I'm sure there were auditions and scripts that came to him, solely because the producer has known his family for years.
Being a nepo baby doesn't give you a career (atleast not in hollywood, it's different in other countries), but it does make things easier
