I think Akane might be the main band member watching the reaction videos. The whole band has obviously seen some judging by how Saiki recognized Mr Rock & Roll in the audience and Miku saying that Akane is a fan of his.
@@sugaanessena3143 I am not aware of Band-Maid members posting comments anywhere. They did recognize and mention the reactor Mr Rock N Roll on two occasions on their latest tour. He was pretty stoked about it.
You're be relieved to know that they love reactors and have their favourites, even managing to identify one or two at their concerts and going giggly over one in particular.
THE best Hard Rock band on Earth. I know that's my subjective opinion but, if I was to be 100% objective, then I'd have to say that Band-Maid are THE best Hard Rock band on Earth. I can't be fairer than that. !! PS THERE ARE ENGLISH SUBTITLES ON THIS MV AND ON ALL THEIR MV'S OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS!! And the ones for HATE? are hilarious! It's the CC button under the video.
Great reaction. I'm glad you mentioned Rush. I've often compared the innovation and role of the bassist in rock bands to Rush. I don't know any other rock bassist who is in perfect harmony with the song and has such a strong presence in a five-piece band. And thank you for acknowledging the contribution of our Miku-chan.
Great reaction! There were subtitles available for this video guys. Most of their more recent videos have them. You need to check beforehand. You can also easily Google translated lyrics for their songs that don't have them. 😁
Love that little sting Kanami carries over out of her solo. And then just goes ham in the background for the rest of the song, it's like the solo didn't even end 😊
I noted that too, and love how it rises and falls throughout the second half. And Misa's bass also keeps thundering right to the end, while Akane's fills are just 'chef's kiss'. So, so cool
Best rock band on the planet. For a great MV watch INFLUENCER. Misa, the bass player (the barefoot assassin) played with a pic on this piece but also fingers, and slaps bass too. Watch NO GOD live if you want to see some of that action.
If you want to find out what they think of reactors check out their song "Influencer" MV Their are more bass solos =) All of Band-Maids songs are great so it doesn't really matter which one you pick ! Thanks Guys
@eddianproject I think the band and the producers have provided the closed captions on the official live and studio videos. It is proper and logical English, not your Google guesswork crazy translation. The official CC also seem to be well placed on the screen and legible.
I might add that they like other Japanese performers often mix English into their lyrics. Miku, the main lyricist is quite good at it, making Japanese and Engish portions rhyme, and while not on the CC translation, she is known to sometimes sing a similar sounding Japanese word while Saiki sings the English word on purpose ( double entendres). They collaborate in all tasks, and Hate? Lyrics were those of Saiki. Kanami is the main writer of the melodies.
Geddy Lee comparisons, high praise indeed! I've loved Rush since 1976, but honestly, no band has excited me since like The Maids. Just a great playing, joyful band that never, ever fails to deliver. Great band! May I recommend From Now On for your next song?
The Japanese and Korean music scene blows away anyone else out there !!!!! The amount of talent these 2 counties have is mind boggling. There hasn't been any great new music in the US of any note in the last 20 years.
As a fellow Englishman so my opinion is valued😂 I can honestly say there are fewer & fewer promising bands emerging from the UK cos they're buried under a sea of corporate Pop & Hip Hop.😒 The music industry is geared to churning out money making ephemeral acts who only have to look good & have no real talent. Even our s'posed music talent programs, "X-Factor", "Britains Got Talent", "The Voice" are entertainment shows & the brands themselves are the money spinners, no longer the artists featured who are now mainly comedy acts for the entertainment of the viewers :(
Great reaction! Some background - normally Miku (the rhythim guitarists, background singer) is the lyricist for the band, but this song was done by Saiki, the lead singer. She is friends with a famous Japanese singer Lisa-x, who was involved in a scandal a few years back when her husband cheated on her. Saiki wrote this with him in mind. And you should go look at the lyrics, because they are BRUTAL. You can almost see like Saiki was saying 'I want to write You're So Vain - but where we spend the entire second verse talking about how bad he is in bed. ;) Don't mess with Saiki man. lol
Saiki never said she wrote "Hate?" about anyone in particular. Some fan was probably just speculating and now it's become a kind of BAND-MAID urban legend like the stuff about Jimmy Page visiting Akane backstage and telling her that she's the reincarnation of John Bonham. He did go back stage and compliment her drumming, but the John Bonham part is made up.
Ummm ...did you try turning ON the Closed Captions? Cause the subtitles are on this song. You just gotta click on that little CC button at the bottom. 😂😂😂
Geddy Lee indeed...love Rush...and MISA MISA MISA 💪👌 What's good here in UK? Have yoy guys checked the 'Hi Ren' video by Ren? World class artist...must be seen 👍👍👍 edit...you already did 😁
Great reaction to a great fun song. Yes, this song is a lot harder hitting than your first reaction to "Alone", their first song approved by the label which they wrote. They've full speed ahead and haven't looked back since. And here you have a song 6 years after the release of "Alone". Love that Master Ian was totally grooving with the song. And great breakdown Master Ed. BTW...Masters and Princesses is what the Maids call their fans. Fitting into the Maid Cafe theme image they portray. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘 As for a next song, try one of their instrumentals. "Onset" Official Live is amazing. And their newer one "From Now On" Official MV.
Having lived a decade in the Far East, and married to a Japanese for over four decades, I think what sets them apart is their teamwork, and loyalty to that team. Western musicians seem to grow further apart, want to be the center of attention, want it their way or hit the highway. Too much independence that they won't work with others, have no respect for their crew, the producers, and often no respect for the fans.
I'd hate to have been in a relationship with the writer of this song. It was the cute rhythm player Miku Kobato. I would change my name and go into hiding. She wrote another song "I Still Seek Revenge" It would make a good Hallmark Based on True events movie. Or something like "I Spit On Your Grave"

My opinion is that this is my favorite performance of one of my least favorite Band Maid songs. In the USA 🇺🇸 and possibly also in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 we’ve fallen into a creative rut, I think. Very little originality (just look at the band logos for metal groups 🙄) and every other band is named “Verb the Noun” What’s fresh about Band Maid is their fearless blending of genres and tones with a solid foundation of just plain old fun! They are serious musicians who don’t take themselves so seriously. And they genuinely love their fans.
