Please. For any of The Clique that sees this. PLEASE? PLEASE don't ruin this channel by trying to make them understand every tiny little detail of the lore or story. Please? Can we just enjoy requesting the songs we like, and hearing how they feel about it? TØP fans are some of the worst (second only to Eminem fans) when it comes to just never shutting up and letting someone listen, enjoy, and interpret something their own way. Ironic because I'm a fan of both. But its so hard to find a reaction to TOP that isn't riddled with a thousand comments telling them about the 7 novels, 2 movies, and 13 shows that they need to know for every song.

Why was he broke? Check the timeline: He & The Big Push were making their living busking & selling their CD's on the street & at local shows. They were locally very popular but almost completely unknown to the rest of the world. His Lyme disease had finally been correctly diagnosed. He had to travel back & forth to a doctor in Germany, I believe. He tells about teaching himself to put in his own IV's because he could't afford a nurse to do it. He had to save up enough money to get himself to Canada, pay for his treatment (Note: medical treatment with NO insurance) plus rent & food. When he knew he'd be out of commission for at least a year for that treatment, he made quite a few videos, including Sick Boi & Hi Ren, to save so that he'd have music to put out while he was in Canada in treatment. Only after Hi Ren did he begin to make any money at all &, as he's said, he paid tens of thousands of dollars to promote Sick Boi.

Maybe Ren needed to buy a beat because he was very ill at the time. And he knew it would save him a lot of time and energy. A lot of musicians purchase beats so it’s not exactly a crime. He didn’t realize it was stolen. I can’t imagine what it must be like to have so many of the health issues he has, and to still find the time and energy to do it all. So if that’s why he looked to buy a beat and credit an unknown beat producer to give them a shot to get known, I can’t fault him for that. He’s such a great guy. God bless him. ❤️

Now the hope is the rope that will choke a bitch pale!” This is his way of telling Light Ren “I let you win the last time, when we sang Hi Ren together. But now it’s MY turn. You step aside and let me take over.” Which is when Light Ren stepped aside as he said “Fuck it.” He was giving Dark Ren permission to take over and do what needed to be done. 👏👏👏🙌🏼

I agree that he probably didn't need it, (the beat) for sick boi BUT. For context, this was an album he was both creating, self promoting, (since he's an independent artist) production mixing, mastering on many other tracks, video production on several, etc... All whilst attending medical treatment for his illness. I'm sure in hindsight, and now in foresight, he probably won't make that same decision, health willing. Cheers, thanks for the video ❤

In this case "Shade" was because Ren was taking about making the beat himself, basically taking a shot at Kujo saying had to steal a sample.
