This is wonderful! Thank you for sharing. I have wanted to make a Xmas afghan in a candy cane stripe like this forever. Now I can! Thank you, thank you! 😊
Excellent as always. Your tutorials are very informative and the good thing is I can keep repeating as often as I need to until I get it right. Thank you 💕
💜 Thank you so much for teaching me a new way to knit this style of blanket! I only ever used a yarn over increase for this style but, I really love the clean edge border and that there are no holes. 💜✌️🧶
This is slightly different to the pattern I normally knit . I am busy knitting lap blankets to keep people in wheelchairs nice and warm. It is cold and rainy here in Cape Town. I look forward to trying out your pattern. Thank you so much.
I love this sort of blanket but when I am finishing off they never seem to to be square. The last cast off seems to be out of true and I can't find out why. I will try your way as it seems a lot easier. How would you make it bigger or do you make more squares and join them to make a larger blanket?
I’m sorry to hear that, but I’m not ambidextrous. I suggest that you place a mirror in front of the screen at a slight angle that allows you to watch this video in a way that’s more helpful to you.
Hello there! I discovered your channel about a few months ago, and you are so thorough! Plus, your voice is so soothing!! So thank you for your content! ❤❤❤ I have a future blanket project I am working on, but I have a question, as the project pattern I found is for crochet, not knitting! When it comes to diagonal striped patterns, is it possible that there is another knit stitch that I am able to do? I’d like it to be pretty, and so far I found something similar to the crochet look, but the stitch I chose does not seem to be knit into diagonal stripes. (I hope this was clear to read!) Bless you abundantly!
Thank you! That’s not easy to do with stitches that have a design themselves. It would require to write a pattern because of the bias knitting and the change of colors. I think it would be easier for you to knit a rectangle or a square, whatever the shape, using a diagonal pattern. Or you could do stripes interchanging sections of Seed stitch and Stockinette, for example. I think if you do that following “the rules” of my tutorial, it could work. Best thing to do? Knit a small swatch and see 😉

Could you please show us how to knit granny squares??
I’d love to, but I don’t crochet, knitting is what I do 😉
@sowoolly ♡
I don't crochet either, and I don't have a desire to learn.
My grandmother used to KNIT granny squares.
Oh, I don’t know anything about it…yet! The only ones I know are the mitered squares. I’ll do some research 🤓 Thank you ✅

Of course the stripes won’t show diagonally …
